Perfect for amatuer

Got this to pair with my tiny terror head. Having owned the combo previously I can tell you his sounds pretty similar. Good enough for rehearsals and the occasional gig. Was dubious about partially closed back but it's a fairly big cab which helps. Only down sides for me are that there is no 16 ohm option so not easy to create a stack with and the handle doesn't seem the strongest. I don't care what it's made from nor whether it's actual tolex or a substitute either as for the price you can't go wrong. Quality wise I'm not going to be hauling it on and off the planes all over the world so it's good enough for me. If it did break I'd still be left with a decent speaker which will only get betters it breaks in. Not sure why you'd pay double for an extension cab when you could just have this. Worth every penny

Excellent

Really good well priced product. Construction is fantastic and the clarity of the sound is superb. I have this for home use with a Hayden Lil Mofo 2 watt head and the 2 seem perfectly matched. Much better than the speakers I have used previously in various modeling and solid state amps.

It is the best for price...

Firstly it is great that you can buy this cabinet for the price of celestion vintage 30 speaker.I use it with hughes&kettner tubemeister 18 head and they are perfect match with each other.I think there is no need to buy matched hughes&kettner tubemeister 112 cabinet with it while harley benton makes nearly the same thing for the price of 1/3.

But keep in mind that it is has not that top quality tolex material and it feels that it can torn out easily but on the other hand if the cosmetics are not priority for you and if you will use it stable like at home or studio it is the best for the money you can buy out there in the market. It has nice bass response i tried it even with irig&jam up pro and this cabinet made it sound fuller and added a good bottom end.

Can't be beaten for price!

Excellent quality cab, the Celestion Vintage 30 speaker actually costs less to buy separately than to buy this cab with the speaker in! Go figure!

All in all, top notch!

Harley cab+ Celestion V30 = AWESOME!!

Awesome cab at an even better price. It sounds awesome with my Blackstar HT-5h and the build quality is great. The fact it has a celestion vintage 30 is just fantastic. If your looking at buying a Celestion V30 speaker on its own, the price is the same so why not have the cab too! You won't be sorry with this cab. Its great and just KILLER when the speaker has broken in!!

Great Sounding Speaker and the Cabinet Basically for Free!

Celestion Vintage 30's are great sounding speakers for lots of different genre's and normally cost around £80 in the UK so to get this speaker Pre Loaded in a cab was a no brainer. I was looking for a small portable cabinet to go with my Orange Micro Terror for Small to Medium sized gigs where I wanted to take a more portable rig. This is the perfect combination for me. The Orange Micro Terror is SUPER LOUD and sounds great through this classic speaker.

Great Value for the money

I have also the 2x12 which is also closed back, same speakers. I like that this one is open back, I get a fuller and nicer sound but less bass. This cab is easy to carry to the gigs and sounds great for recording or to play live. Perfect match for my Tiny Terror

Just perfect

The performance/price ratio on this thing is incredible! The quality is very good, with nice metal corner protection. The box is solidly constructed and has a half-open back that makes it perfect for home use with a small amp head (I use mine with a Blackstar HT-5RH). Seriously, this speaker cabinet practically costs less than just buying the speaker separately! Just perfect.

The reason I won't give five stars for features is that I would like it to have an extra connector jack so you can connect several of these to an amp with only one speaker output.

Harley Benton 1x12" Speaker

Amazing value, and nicely constructed.

Compared with Marshall (£189) or Orange (£220) this cabinet is unbelievable, wheels would have been nice, but that seems a bit negative when you consider this houses a Vintage 30 speaker.....

Good Sound, well build and cheap, what do you want more?

What more can I say, you pay less than a new celestion Vintage 30 speaker alone and you get a fully assembled cab with it?

The sound is as good as any other 112 cab with the same speaker and because this one is openback, you get quite a soundstage for its size.

Cab is made of decent multiplex and the tolex looks sturdy, even the wiring inside is very well done. BUY NOW !

Great speaker

fI bought this speaker for home use as my 4x12 needed to stay at the rehearsal space due to transport problems, and even though I had read some great reviews I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was.

Really pleasantly surprised with this little speaker. When I first opened the box the cabinet was more solid than I had hoped for the money. Everything was finished well and had a good weight to it.

When I plugged it in I heard the unmistakable sound of a Vintage 30, after a couple of weeks playing it, it is just getting better. I am now thinking of getting the 2x12 now for smaller pub gigs.

Makes my HT-1R sound huge

Really, how do they manage to get a Vintage 30 in these things for the price??

So far I have used this cab with my Blackstar HT1r combo and an orange micro terror head.

My initial impressions, with the HT1 are that it takes an already great amp and makes it awesome! The bottom end it vastly improved, which is no surprise really given the speaker size difference. The headroom of the clean side seems to have improved slightly as well

With the Orange MT head, once again the low end is low and thumping when used with a ts9 clone, turning this from a decent rock amp to a great rock/hard rock amp.

I mainly play punk/hardcore/metal type stuff and it really suits these styles.

The construction is excellent and I was actually really surprised! The handle and the corner covers look and feel good and there is no flex from the cab when you lift from the handle. I would easily gig with this, only thing that will put gear snobs off is the HB name on the front. i say get over it and give the Harley Benton stuff a try.

Best for the money by far!

For the money, these are unbeatable. Well constructed and well featured. No rattles, sound awesome.

Celestion Rocks.

Bought this Little box for home use and for Gigs in small bars with my JCM 800.

First i was disapointed because it sounded very boomy and Boxy and very harsh.

But After a few hours of Playing the speaker is broken in and it sounds very round, clear and smooth highs.

I Even Took it to the Studio because it sounds so much better than my marshall 412 with eminence governor speaker.

I will soon replace it with celestion v30 speaker.

The workmanship on this box is very good, no Dings and dongs, everything is Set up well.

And the best is: the harley benton box with v30 is the Same Price like a v30 speaker without box.

So if you Need a New box, wether its a 1x12, 2x12 or 4x12, make shure you check Out One of the harley benton vintage boxes

For the Price you can't go wrong!!

Amazing!!!

That's really great cab. Especially if you like playing blues. Pleasant, warm sound with good quality and low price make the cab the best choice.

Best value cabinet

I use this cab with an Ibanez TSA15H head and sometimes with an Orange Micro Terror head, and it provides excellent tones with the included well known Celestion V30.

The construction looks good and solid with very good finishing.

A good cab for the price of just the speaker.

Brilliant

Simple set up, sounds great. I have this connected to an old solid state amp and it sounds brilliant. Good projection, nice bass response and the price is the same as the speaker by itself. The cabinet is sturdy, well made and the white piping make it looks like it cost twice or three times the price. A shure sm57 on this amp would be perfect for recording.

Bang for the buck!

This is a very good cab for the money. Feels sturdy, got a decent size, the corners are metal and the speaker is great. Sounds slightly harsh in the beginning when the speaker is new, but it has already started to soften up slightly after just a few hours of playing. I think it's a keeper.
