simplicity and low budget!

This is an amazing 1x12 Celestion Vintage 30 G12 speaker inside a harley benton case, what else do you need??, if you don't care if your cabinet doesn't have a big brand stamped on it (even if it's using the same speakers), go for this one!!!!!!!. At the end on the signal chain there is the speaker, what if the cabinet doesn't show a big known brand on it, i would recommend it to anyone! excellent quality, solid construction and amazing price.

I use it mostly for home recording and small rehearsals and the cab does it's job. I run my Bugera G20 through it and it sounds very nice.

Pros:

- t's surprisingly well made for the price - you have to remember that the speaker used here is actually more expensive than the whole cab if bought standalone

- Sounds really well due to the speaker mentioned above

Cons:

- no extension cab jack (unless you rewire the cab manually)

- sorry but the HB logo looks cheap IMO, using just the smaller logotype like on the G112 pic would be better IMO.

For that price it's hard to beat, planning to get a G212V in near future:)

No-Brainer

I bought this cabinet to use with my Blackstar Ht5 combo amp, and... Difference is night and day.

Construction wise, it's very sturdy, tolex and grill is flawless, the strap is strong. And it's price is unbeatable indeed.

Tone wise, it has big bottom end which is lost with blackstar's own cabinet, mid is agressive and top end is singing. After using for some time, it become less harsh and pleasant.

You can't go wrong with this cab.

Brilliant value for money

This cab has a superb tone. I put features as 4 star but hey, it's a cab, it has a cable socket, that's it. It would be 5 star if it had another out socket to hook up two cabs in series.

I don't know how it would hold up to a touring band but in my home studio is is the perfect companion to just about any amp.

If you want a 1x12, buy this one!

Best purchase I've ever made

I bought this cabinet because it was cheap and it came with a top speaker. I was not disappointed in any way. This cabinet is very sturdy, the construction is flawless, the strap up top is very strong and the sound is just perfect. All that for this price is just insane. I use it with my H&K Grandmeister and it's incredible. You can't go wrong with this cabinet.

Best bang for your buck

A Celestion speaker for this price? That's a bargain! The sound it produces won't give away the fact that you paid next to nothing for it either. I use this for practicing with a low wattage amp and could not be happier.

My only complaint is the fact that the Harley Benton logo is a bit tacky and really sticks out (you can't remove it without leaving screw holes), but the rest of the cabinet has a real classy look. Besides, sound is more important than looks and that's where the G112 Vintage shines. Recommended!

great for an orange head

I have to say I was very well impressed with this cabinet.

I bought it as lighter backup/practice cab for my OR15 orange head and its orange2x12 cab - I actually sometimes prefer it to the orange one - a bit more balanced to my taste for playing at bedroom/practice volumes, less pronounced lows, and the same great roar we love about the vintage 30s that make them a great rock n roll speaker!

Recommended. I easily would buy it again.

A Very Good Cabinet For It's Price

I've bought that cabinet for my small watt head for home usage. That model is coming with Celestion speakers and 12'inch is also good for headroom.

Before this cabinet I used my Laney Lv100 combo amp with the same speaker (Celestion 12), I really enjoyed it and purchased that one.

It's a nice , cheap quality cabinet for it's price you cannot expect much more for this price. If you can get a real wood cabinet for that price it would be a miracle. Bass and treble response is very good, I am very happy with that purchase, I can advise it for people looking for a decent cabinet for their home and small studio/gig use.

Excellent value

This is a complete steal for the price - the sound is great and the build quality is good (better than I expected). A total bargain, I just wish it was closed back rather than partially open back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cheap 1x12 or for a Vintage 30 for recording.

great gear for a little price!

I was amazed by the quality of this little thing.

I use it manly at home but it?s quite loud so it could be used on a stage.

It?s a little bit heavier than I thought but nothing too bad, the sound is really amazing and it has a LOT of low end.

It?s very well build and I don?t think that it could ever break.

I?m very impressed by the quality and for that price!!!

Good cab for the price

I've been gigging with this cab and my 4,5W tube amp for the last year or so. Works like a charm and sounds good.

Cover material rips quite easily so be careful with that.

At this price point I don't think you can do much better.

Great Value

The cab is great quality and sounds very gritty. I recommend using the cab for crunchier stuff i get the best results with a micro terror. The cab is sturdy so far the only real draw back is that it's dimensions, it's a little thick.

Get it as your first cab!

I have always loved the sound of Orange Celestion cabs but they do cost.

When I found out that this thing has a Celestion Vintage 30, I was instantly intrigued. The speaker itself goes for more than this cab.

The cab has a semi open back and has really a sound of its own. The speaker is excellent and paired with this cab produces quite a unique sound that differs from the orange cabs and other ones I heard but still great.

It only has one input so cannot stack them which is about the only negative I can find.

But at this price, it hits well above all expectations.

Excellent.

Excellent cab for an excellent price!

I decided to buy this cab because I needed something that was small enough to keep in my room and that was of a quality that I would be prepared to record my Hughes & Kettner Tubemeister 18 through...I was definitely not disappointed.

First things first, DO NOT let the low price put you off with the mindset of "you get what you pay for", that is not the case here. The celestion V30 absolutely screams when prompted by distortion while still retaining clarity in the high end as well as keeping the low mids unmuddied. The open back helps the sound emanate easier too which I found an absolute delight too! The cab is definitely loud enough for a small venue and band practice as well!

The build quality of the amp again is great for the price being made of wood that feels sturdy, corner protectors that don't at all feel flimsy, the front tolex seems durable and the speaker is still well protected at the back.

The ONLY drawback that I can think of is not having side mounted handles for easier lifting as the handle can be quite sore after a while.

Nice clear sound with Blackstar HT-5RH

First experience with a separate cab for me.

I tried it with my Subzero 10watt combo amp and it sounded a little muffled in comparison to the Celestion super8 that comes with that amplifier. I also had a little hum through it.

However, once I switched to the Blackstar 5 watt HT-5R head, there was no hum and superb clarity to the sound, which was now far more balanced than the Subzero and Celestion Super8 - which I find to be bright and lacking in bass.

Cabinet is solidly built. I am pleased with this purchase.

very good cabinet price/soundwise

I use this Harley Benton 1x12 cabinet with my Vox pathfinder Head.

I sounds very good, you have a very clear sound of the amp at distorted sounds and clean sounds. It really sounds as good as some other cabinets that are twice the price.

The vintage part of the cab's name stands for the speaker in it: a Celestion V30. If you would buy this speaker seperately, you would almost pay the same price, so this cab is moneywise a real winner. You almost have a cab for nothing.

The cab itself is very durable(18mm plywood). It's covered in black tolex. There is a handle on top that can be flattened if you would want to put a head on it. It weights approximatly 14 kilograms and it's dimensions are: 460 x 470 x 299 mm, which is rather small.

It is a great choice for beginners to use at small gigs or on a bedroom level. It got 60 watts of power at 8 Ohm

I have had it now for 3 months and did a fair share of gigs and rehearsals with it and I haven't had a single problem with it yet. It's definitely is a keeper.

Quick delivery and beautiful cab

Don't let the brand name put you off. This is a well built cabinet with a great speaker inside it. For little more than the speaker itself would cost, you get a beautiful cab that sounds really decent.

I ordered this on Tuesday night and delivery was attempted to me in the UK on Friday afternoon. That's pretty good going to say it was shipped from Germany.

It is a Celestion Vintage 30

No matter that the speaker is not UK made, the sound is identical to the genuine speaker. I have built years ago myself a cabinet and bought the Vintage 30 for it.

My DIY cab is bigger, than the Harley Benton G112, and so the sound especially the bass is more round somehow, but the difference is not enormous. Sturdy looking, cheap but good sounding cab. I probably will take down the HB logo from it if going around on gigs, despite that they have somehow in-castrated into the nylon web protecting the speaker.

Steal for the price

This cab is the same price with the speaker it uses. I use it with my Randall RD1 at home. I couldn't find a chance to compare it with other cabs but it sounded good to me.
