Great value for money cab

Bought this to use with my Bugera 333XL head. The sound quality is great and the amp sounds incredibly clear through this cab. Has a nice low end which is ideal considering I primarily play 7 and 8 strings. The build quality is obviously not as great as higher end cabs but its still pretty good and feels solid enough to gig with. Can't really go wrong for the money especially as it comes with a pair of Celestion V30's. Highly recommended

Great cabinet!

This cabinet looks and sounds great. The two 16 ohm vintage 30s sound excellent with my Hughes & Kettner Tubemeister 18. It's closed back, so you get very directional sound projection, as expected.

The construction is better than expected at this price. It's made from plywood, rather than particle board - very impressive!

Overall, it's great value for money for the sound and construction.

Points to note:

- Some more info on how the Mono/Stereo switching works would have been useful. For those interested, I believe that it works as follows:

Mono position: speakers wired in parallel giving 8 ohm resistance

Stereo position: L/R inputs sent individually to L/R speaker, giving 16 ohm resistance to each input.

- The tolex is fairly easy to scuff/rip. A thin case is probably a worthwhile investment.

Good and cheap 2x12

The box looks very good and sound fine as well. It is harmonically very rich, maybe it lacks on the bass side, but that could be a good thing if you need to be more present on the mix of your band. It is quite light and easy to transport. I use it with a Marshall JMP1 preamp + Marshall EL34 50/50 power amp. The G212 can work in stereo mode very well. I play heavy music and this baby works very good for that.

Update: This thing survived a flood (lot's of mud inside and stuff)... after some cleaning, it still sound just as good!

Best cab for it's price

This cab is perfect within it's price range.

I was looking to buy a not too expensive cab to run my Orange Tiny Terror through and I found this one, read some reviews and decided to give it a try.

I haven't regret it at all, I am quite happy with the purchase.

The overall build quality of the cab is very good, well made, not too heavy, a solid cab.

The Celestion Vintage 30 speakers alone are worth the cab price, and they sound really nice.

If you are looking for a cab within this price range, this is the one.

It sounds good

It's a bargain...under 500$ you can't find anything better. And it costs 200$.

The only cons are that the tolex isn't high quality, and it's heavy (like many other cabs).

Good cab, good tone, great price.

Well built, sounds good, good handles, Mono or Stereo. I haven't cranked the hell out of it yet, but for practice its great. The tone on some $1000+ 4x12 Cabs is better but for money this is a kick arse cab that sounds better than other gear out there for twice the price. Very happy.

It's perfect

I bought and am very pleased with the product. The finish is good, the box is robust and the sound is amazing, not to mention the cost benefit.

Amazing Cab and even better price!

My jaw nearly dropped off when I was introduced to these cabs! The sound is extremely good considering the price. They definitely aren't better sounding than a Mesa cab for example however I would rather buy this because I don't thing the mesa is worth nearly 3-4 times as much as the sound it makes. The only thing I would note is that this cab is a tiny bit harsh sounding but careful mic placement can easily solve that problem and give you a great sounding tone. It is quite well built and very sturdy so it would be great for a cheap alternative for live use.

Best Value-For-Money cabinet

There is no other cabinet at this price point that beats that. Cheap, decent construction, and V30's. I already bought 2 of them and have been very satisfied. When I'm gonna upgrade, I'll buy a custom made unloaded cab, and use the v30's from my Harley Benton to save some costs.

Highly recommended!

The best cab you will get for the price!

I bought this cab as an upgrade to my Marshall 1936 2x12, as I was looking for something with Celestion V30s.

This cab satisfied my requirements completely and all for an amazing price.

Build quality: This thing is built like a brick. Covered in black tolex, which is slightly thinner than the Marshal but thick enough, with metal corners and metal handles on the sides (Even the Marshall only had plastic handles). Very sturdy and does not feel like anything is going to break. I've actually dropped it once and apart from a small ding in the tolex it held up fine.

Sound: As you would expect from V30s, once broken in it sounds awesome. Just as good as more expensive cabs with V30s. I have it hooked up to a Engl Ritchie Blackmore 100W head and it nails the 80s rock and metal tone I use it for. The 2x12 is more directional than a 1x12 or 4x12, but you can improve the spread by standing it on its side.

Value: Like I said, this is the most value you can get for you money at this price range. It would probably cost you more to buy the 2 V30 speakers on their own!

Overall I'm very happy with this cab and if it was stolen I'd have no hesitation in buying another one.

Great value cabinet and speakers especially considering that it's the same price as getting the v30 speakers alone. Very useable cab for gigs, studio etc.. Sound quality is as good as boutique brands, only complaint is that the tolex is fragile and tears easily.

Excellent cab for the price

I purchased the HB G212V to replace my Marshall 1960A as it was impractical to transport.

The first thing I noticed was the quality of the covering on the cabinet wasn't as good quality - I have a cat who scratched the Marshall all the time and it made no damage, but after a few days with my cat the covering was peeling off on the HB - it must be said though, this is reflected in the price.

I personally found the sound of the cab to be quite thin too, but as it was my first cab with V30 speakers, it's hard to say whether this was the cabinet itself or whether I just preferred the GT75s.

All in all, an excellent cab for the price you pay, with great quality speakers but in the end I opted to upgrade to a Marshall 1922.

The best thing since sliced bread

Seeing the prices of other manufacturers cabinets compared to this is ridiculous, this is just such a good deal! Complete with Celestion V30 speakers, which sound brilliant for all rock styles. The build quality is solid, and it has rugged metal handles on the side to aid transportation. I am planning to buy many more of these in the future!

Great Cab!!

This is an amazing cab for the money! The build quality is excellent and to get 2 celestion vintage 30's in a cab of this quality for 200 in unheard of anywhere else! I would highly recommend this to anyone!!

Excellent value for money..

Considering the price of this, it contains, in my opinion, 2 of the best Celestion speakers on the market. I recently upgraded to a Zilla cab, which is much sturdier/robust, but was much more expensive, and it still has one of the v30 celestions in it. Great cab.

Excellent cab. unbeatable price.

This a cab with fantastic value for money, as it has a Celestion Vintage speakers inside which bought on is almost the same price as the cab itself. I've gigged with this cab and it hasn't let me down, I rely on it for most of my gigs. Construction is excellent and is durable, I've had it for over two years now. The speakers can take a bit of playing to break in but sounds great. I've found a 2x12 is way more economical than a full 4x12 for carting around to places, and most venues mic amps up anyway. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Harley Benton G212 Vintage - best value cab on the market

I have used this as an extension and a main cab. It is a great sounding cab. It is also ridiculous good value for money.

The option to switch between mono and stereo is a nice touch. It means you can run two amps to the cab!

The only caveat is that the closed back cab sound may not be everybody, particularly for those playing in small areas\stages. So please consider that when buying.

If you like the V30 and closed back sound, at this price it is a no-brainer!

best value for money!

I have two valve heads that I play through this and it sounds incredible! For the price I don't think you could ask for much more with vintage 30's in it. I have a big named brand 4x12 and this cab blows it out of the water. I play a 20watt valve jet city head and a 50watt Marshall valve head through it and it's brilliant. The cab has switchable ohms also which is prefect for different heads. The Tolex covering is a little thin but it doesn't bother me at all.

Amazing value for money - it costs more just to buy the individual speakers on their own than the price of the whole cab! The quality of the construction is excellent, and gives you everything you want - a great buy :)

Great little speaker cabinet

I bought this speaker cab for my son to use with a Line 6 combo, just so he could move a bit more air on stage with his band. This is a top class little speaker cabinet, excellent value for the money, well made, you would be hard pushed to better this cab and would certainly need to spend a lot more money to do so!
