budget amp

For the price I cannot complain much as the cab is effectively for free. The Vintage 30 speakers are one of the best speaker on the market.

But the build quality of the cabinet is not so good. Being effectively for free I cannot complain much, but I opened it to put a different speaker in it and did not like how the cab was put together.

It sounds good, but more expensive cabs with the same speaker sound better. Not a huge difference as most of the sound is from the speaker anyway, but the cab sounds a bit boxy.

Great for budget rigs

I'm using this cab with the Fender Mustang v2 head and it makes the amp sound really good. Since the high gain amp models have a lot of fizz naturally, the cab has a bit of a fizzy top to the tone but manages to remove it pretty well. Small, light, and decently cheap, I highly recommend this for any live musicians who need a decent cab at a low budget. It's pretty loud and very usable for its size considering that the cab itself isnt extremely mid heavy like other cabs with the same speakers. I like how versatile the cab is in comparison with similar cabs running the same speakers. The tolex and wood is cheaper and softer than other cabs so its recommended to take a lot of care when traveling with this cab.

I use this cabinet for band rehearsals and gigs. It sounds just great.

Grips, jack socket, front grill seem to be very solid.

The only drawback is the tolex.

Great sound, great speakers, great box, using it for about 8 years now. The only drawback is tolex, it rips and ruins very easily. I do not care about esthetics too much so I am happy.

Great sound for the money

I have a Peavey Invective 2x12 which sounds amazing. This HB 212 Vintage is nothing less. It doesn't sound like the invective for sure, but sounds amazing, having both standing would be difficult to get rid of any, it's just a great budget cab to gig with. I have also tracked it and got serious tones out of it. I'm very pleased with it. I recommend it 1000%.

You won't believe how awesome it is until you get one

This is honestly the best cab money can buy. It's the best compromise. Huge sound but it's still relatively easy to carry around. But the price is the best thing about it. Definitely buy one of these.

great 2x12 cab

Use it with a '78 Marshall JMP, great overall tone, for the price paid is a real bargain, cannot be happier! Try to buy 2 Celestion V30 and it will cost you more than this cab already loaded with those speakers!!!

Fairly easy to move around and has a good, clear sound.

Please forgive my lack of gear experience, I am still a novice practicing in a room and trying to keep from disturbing other people both in and outside of the house.

This cab was bigger than I thought it was going to be. Even with that being said, I did not have any trouble moving it, even up and down stairs. I would recommend to have someone nearby to help, just in case.

It came in a box with corner pieces to keep it safe.

The sound is quite good. As far as I can tell, these speakers have excellent fidelity and response ranges.

My only point of reference, due to my lack of experience, is compared to my Audio Technica m40x through cabinet emulation in the amps I have. I strongly prefer the sound of this cabinet. It manages to give a response at the amp's bare minimum what the emulation took 65-75% volume to do in terms of clarity and response.

This cab, with even my Joyo BanTamp 20w head, can get very loud. I'm not sure of it's upper limits paired with the BanTamp.

Great sounding cab especially for the money. Much better quality than a lot of more expensive brands.

Absolutely awesome

Using it with a Mesa/boogie nomad head, cleans are amazing, distortion is pure perfection, all in all i enjoy using it and best of all it's easy to transport

Great for the money

The 2x12 harley benton is the first cabinet i've ever owned, and I must say it crushes. It has a lot of tone and volume, thanks to the twin vintage 30 speaker configuration.

I used it on quite a few gigs, and it has always done me good. It has enough punch and clarity to easily cut through a mix, and is able to drown out a hard hitting drummer volume-wise. also the mono/stereo switch is very usefull for connecting two amps to a single cab.

However, the build quality is not the greatest, but hey, the seperate speakers in this cabinet cost nearly the same as the whole cabinet, so no reason to complain here.

It's definitely the best cabinet in this price category. i'd recommend this cabinet to beginners looking as their first rehearsal/stage-ready cabinet, this cabinet has the tone and volume.

What? For this price?

I swear buying this cabinet was in the top 3 best decisions of my life. To be honest, I was thinking to get the 1x12 version but for sure I would have regretted it. It is fuller and by having 2 Celestion speakers there are more opportunities when recording. There's no doubt the sound beats every others' sound in this price range, even the cheaper Marshall cabinets. No opponents. You really get the vintage sound. Indeed, if You have a corresponding amp which is able to irritate the throat of this brutal beast, You can be sure, it will swallow You in whole :)

It is practical because it naturally has less weight than a 4x12 so You won't die after transporting it to a goal destination and packing it out by Yourself, although it is also sufficiant solution on the stage. And if You found it weak, You still would have the chance to hook up a mic, and send it to a bigger gear. However, the basic sound remains great which serves for the higher gear.

Nothing negatives.

Great cab

I've had this for almost 3 years been using a blackstar ht-5 head and it sounds great. It was recommended to me from a mate for its amazing price, high quality build, and the type of speakers used (v30's).

The delivery was good no damage, the handles are good and comfortable, its sturdy and can take a beating. I like that you can take the mesh cover off to expose the speakers its a bit tough to pry it off at first but i think its worth it. so I would totally recommend if your looking for a decent 2x12 with v30's

Makes a little noise

Speaker on any volume makes a little buzz, when i turn on the distortion it gets louder, and if i turn the speaker loudler, the noise gets higher aswell, not sure if its a deffects or the speakers itselft, my friend has a bugera with the same size and it doesnt make that noise.

The handles are pretty amazing, very helpful

The materials are ok, the outter skin could be better

Vintage 30s

Can't fault it, sure if you spend 500¤ more with some better timber you'll hear a more articulated version but this is a sweet sounding cab. Beautiful tone and clarity does exactly what vintage 30s do..... Sound great!!

Harley Benton G212 Vintage

I bought a head Hughes & kettner use in a country house for rehearsals.Due to the size of the speakers are well simulated bass guitar through an effects processor.If you add a wah pedal that makes an interesting sound.Appearance and quality is good given the low price-the best option to get quality sound without overpaying for the brand.

Extremely nice, very inexpensive, slow to get here

Worth the wait, but it took 2 1/2 weeks to get to the east coast USA. Was handed off to USPS, who managed to beat it up a bit through the single box it was shipped in. Not bad enough to ship back, but noticeable. So packaging and USPS are definitely down sides. Sound is an upside. Running a Bugera T50 into it, mono, and it sounds perfect, like I would expect it to. Reminded me of my old fender SuperSonic combo with Vintage 30s, so it was a good comparison. Considering it costs less than the two speakers if you bought them raw, I would say this is a steal of a deal, if you can wait 2-3 weeks to get it in the USA. Cabinet seems very sturdy, no buzz, no rattle even when pegging out the T50 tube amp. The handles are much nicer than many name brand cabs, definitely made for the road. No brainer if you want Vintage 30s in a road worthy 212 enclosure.

Harley Benton G212 Vintage

Bought this cabinet to connect it to the ENGL gigmaster 15 watts combo. The speaker in the combo has a boxy sound so wanted to try a 2X12 cabinet. Decided to go for the Harley benton since it is very inexpensive and has celestion V30's.

Was amazed by the huge difference!!! The sound is now warmer and full of power!

Was also impressed by the built quality as I was expecting a sort of inferior quality but it was the opposite. Will definitely recommend this product to anyone looking at buying a 2X12 cabinet with V30's and very inexpensive!

Bargain!

I have been gigging with this cabinet for a couple of years and have been thoroughly impressed by the sound and build quality. It's an absolute bargain at the price. The Celestion V30s are excellent and the cab is rock solid. Why pay more?
