Harley Benton HB-20R Reviews
Fairly priced affordable amp
Decent for what the product is a cheap affordable amp with a decent crisp sound quality something which you would probably have to pay upwards of £100!
Nice and basic guitar combo
Easy to use and ideally for home practice.
I love
The eq is so usable, you can do anything if you are into that stuff like getting specific tones
Good ð
It's a good Amp.for to start playing. I believe that I will buy someone better. For its money it's very good
Sound is much better than I expected. Clean is really good, especially with reverb - I was very impressed.
Distortion is not so good as clean, but is enough for practicing.
Excellent quality of combo app, I am using It almost 1 year and there is no problems.
Nice amp for this price.
Good amp for beginners
For a first amp it's more than you could need has overdrive with really good sound quality but it's really big and heavy so kind of hard to really take anywhere
Very good AMP
I have this amp over a week and i can say i am very satisfied. It has very good sound quality. Its not very heavy, which means that you can carry it around pretty easily. It has many features and you can do many experiments with the sound of your guitar. Overall, it is a very good first AMP.
budget practice amp with a happy ending
i was looking for a budget amp that i could use in my living room and therefore was not expecting much but this amp is plenty loud enough and has some good features such as the mp3 plug in and the headphone out.
comes with uk power adaptor and looks pretty good, open backed to store the cable.
i was quickly able to dial in a decent tone for what it cost i was quite happy with what i got for the cost.
its worth the price all day, its a fantastic amp for a beginner and will last a few years as a seasoned player who just just wanted a amp for the living room on a budget its done ok for me too.
Nice quality/price
Great sound to play at home. Nice quality/price. Excelent for beginners.
Bang for buck!
A truly excellent piece of gear for noodling at home. Of course, it's not something you would really go to a gig with, but for a beginner, or even an advanced guitarist it is truly a great deal for the money. Although it sometimes sounds "clangy", you are still able to have fun with many types of sounds that you can get out of this simple amp, even without fancy effects pedals. If you just want to noodle at home, this is the way to go!
Great. Freaking. Amp!
I am no expert in amps but I started with this amp and to be honest it's still carrying the sound very well even to this day! It is simple to use, doesn't have any WOW features on it, works very well both for practicing and performing, it has a decent size and most importantly, a decent price!
In conclusion this would be the go to amp for any beginner or even intermediate guitarist!
The jewel in the Crown.
A real beauty for clean or "not clean" sound, I never use extreme distortion, but use the "high gain" chanel for my low gain, sound hole acoustic pick up, careful adjustment of the "gain channel" will keep a clean sound at a plenty loud volume {if loud is needed}. I had enough of lack luster & expensive USB modeling guitar amps, I'm needing actual control of my amps circuit dynamics, "tone stack", I now have actual control with my HB20r. My gigs are smaller bars & cafes, 20-30 people max, rock, blues & ballads, acoustic style. This HB20r, on a chair or 1/2 a meter off the floor is just perfect, with plenty headroom if you need it. Nice bass, mid & treble controls with good range making my bunch of guitars (acoustic, jazz & humbucker) all nicely usable now. I previously plugged into my PA, but good impedance values have to be respected when using guitar/PA for a good sound. All is well sorted now I have an extra piece on stage (HB20r) and I'm certainly happy with it.
Very surprised with this little amp as 'by price', was dubious.
A very surprising little monster :-)
Great option for people who are just starting out same as I am. Puts out a nice sound and has the basic features to learn and experiment about the technical stuff. Love it.
Really good sound
Bought this with a guitar for my son. It's perfect as a starter amp. Really good sound and a quality product for the price.
Very happy with the HB amplifier.
Great Amp for the price
Bought just to play around with in the house, sounds great, many use it with headphones as I'm in an appartment
Good product for the price
So the product is nothing crazy it has all the basic settings, the sound is ok its not very clear.
Overall I would recommend this product for this price
great quality for price
works really well, bought it for myself as a beginner and love it. built in overdrive is great and so is the reverb. very good quality
Good for their price
A good amp for begginer with a set of basic settings, even some kind of distortion.
Of the minuses there is a noticeable background sound.
Actually more than I need
I like this amp. But I mostly practice (or play) at a clean setting so the overdrive/gain is somewhat unnecessary for my needs. And the same goes for the reverb that's also part of the package. I don't use reverb, or tremolo for that matter, and for now at least this will not be something that I will use.
But I will say that it is a very good combo amp for practicing. It works very well at lower volume settings with a very clean tone. And the price was very reasonable for the features whether I use them or not.
Also, the construction quality is very high and all of the controls feel substantial when used and of a high quality. I am very pleased with this amp.
the buttons are too hard to turn
its ok for the price
