Excellent

I've had this amp for over two years now and it's been working pretty well. It features so many things according to your taste of sound, and the good thing is that you can carry it everywhere. The sound is loud and pretty clear, so it suitable works if you're playing for an audience in a big music saloon/closed stage. Pretty happy with this product! Great Job!

Simple amp

For someone starting out,

I wanted a modest amp when it comes to price and knobs.

The amp is pretty good.

I think the reverb could do with some improvement.

Overdrive channel is nice.

I couldnt figure out how to control the volume of backing track if I plug one in. (but it could be my fault).

I haven't tried line out.

My idea before buying this was to have a good amp for a beginner, to be able to play around in my room/house.

And it has served me well for that.

One thing I did notice was that amp would switch off sometimes in the middle (which I assume is power savings?)

And putting the jack in contact with a metal surface of the guitar connector to turns it back on.

Often times this happens in middle of when you are playing. Which can be annoying.

Overall very good for money

pros:

-very low price: it costs like going once to local restaurant with your girlfriend

-pretty good quality

-very loud: I usually play at 30% loudness. I guess you can take it to local pub concert, etc.

-The eq is nice

cons:

-Mine came a little bit scratched

-The spring reverb is very strange. If you play at a big volume, and turn the reverb bigger than 60% percent, it starts to make a very loud noise which go louder and louder, until you turn off the effect at all. First time it happened I thought I destroyed the combo. You don't imagine how loud that was

-Strange sound quality when playing in headphones. That is because the combo doesn't have a cabinet simulator. So playing in headphones doesn't make any sense.

-Also the aux cable quality is very very bad. The sound is very bad, it doesn't have any bass and middle freqs. Also when nothing is playing it makes a very loud noise. So connecting an aux cable for practicing or just listening to music also doesn't make any sense.

In conclusion I can say that if you are a beginner totally buy it! But if you want something serious, buy a combo like Fender, that has digital effects. They are called Modelling combos. Buy something like Fender Mustang LT50.

But from my opinion, the best option is buying a sound card. I bought Behringer Umc204HD. But if you want a sound card, you will have to know at least the basics of a DAW (reaper, cubase, reaper), or you can download different soft(Bias fx2, Guitar Rig 5). Also you need to have a good pc, and some speakers or studio monitors

Perfect for beginners

This is my first amp, it's hard for me to compare with something. Previously, I only played on my friend’s amp. The overdrive is perfect compared to my friend’s amp (his OD is just noise), but for the overdrive I often use the pedal. Still, i was very surprised how well it sounds. So far I have achieved all the sounds that I wanted. The spring reverb is very good, but if the amp shakes when you play (it happens sometimes) you can hear the weird sound of a spring twitching. Conveniently, the headphone output is immediately 3.5mm and there is no need to look for adapters. For beginners like me, this amp is perfect. It is cheap and does his job good. More than enough for me.

perfect for beginners at that price

use it now for over a month and it's great. As beginner myself I had doubts in the beginning but it's all good. Quick warming, have good variety of equalizers options and the I've always manage to find the sound I wanted. Price is also good so don't be shy, get that guitar(amp) ready and play.

Good thing for a starter

That combo amp is really good for its money. It has that minimum for everyone, clean channel, some gain, even reverb. Yes, distorted sound is a bit weak as for some really hard things, but its enough to practice.

Great little amp

I got this amp as part of a Harley Benton electric guitar bundle. It's small, but the knobs are easy to use and understand, and it's more than loud enough for at-home use.

Very happy with the purchase!

Good

There is little background noise.

An unpleasant click is heard when turning off

20W is quite loud for a small apartment, you have to set 10-20% of the volume depending on the set of pedals.

Otherwise, this is more than a great device for the money.

Fantastic . This amp came supplied with the guitar package. Lots of features and the sound quality is amazing for the cost of this package.

Harley Benton HB-20R

I wanted a very compact combo for home practice and stage guitar monitor. This amp is surprisingly loud, pretty good tonally (I only want clean sound, I have FX to do other stuff). My only gripe is that I would like to be able to play tracks without connecting a guitar to the amp (for signal). Very good amp at good price overall.

It sounds amazing, should be a $400 amp but it is cheaper.

It's allright

Let's start with the most important thing: For the money, it's great. It is a powerful amplifier that can be used at living-room volumes, it has a headphone jack and even built-in spring reverb, a looked-after feature. It's a good option for a first amplifier as I've found it to take pedals in front quite nicely (mind it doesn't have an effects loop so any pedals will need to be put in front) and its own overdrive is all right for a beginner to get you in the ballpark of rock.

However, there are a few less likeable features about it.

First off, The on-board overdrive is not by a long shot as good as I would like it to be, it lacks dynamics, sounds very harsh and artificial and when the knob goes above halfway it doesn't get dirtier, instead it only ads noise without distorting the guitar. My recommendation is to get an overdrive pedal to go along with it, a cheap one will undoubtedly be better than what's on board.

Secondly, the MP3 input lacks a serious function: Remaining quiet. Whenever it doesn't have a signal from another device, it hums like crazy. Also, it doesn't like to be quiet: It wants to be loud.

And thirdly, although this is just me nit-picking, the reverb gets noisy rather quickly. The amplifier doesn't have the best shock-resistance ever so me walking around creates a little noise from the springs wobbling. Do keep in mind that I have quite a heavy step and this might not be an issue for you, but it is a downside in my opinion.

To conclude: If you want to sit in a chair and plug pedals into it, go for it. If you want a cheap solid-state amplifier that will last you, go for it. If you expect it to get crunchy metal tones, it won't, though it does do cleans quite nicely.

Amagazin

The versability of this amp is so amagazin, i was able to switch a lot of settings and get everytime the sound that i wanted to hear. So cheap as a price but actually can prove to you that this little baby can please you without any problem. yes, actually this is my first amp and im not an expert, and because i am a beginner who likes so much the sound that this amp produce, you should trust my super beginners feels and buy this amp You will not regret anything you can even check around the web and others reviews that will agreed with my point of view. It's so easy to use, just plug in, set your amp to the romantic guy trying to impress a girl, or set your amp to, i want to scare my neighbours with an extreme metal sound. And that's it, simply dont worry about the quality of the amp, because it will not betray you, untill you will not leave him alone in a dark lonely corner of your house.

More than enough for home

I guess this combo to be great for home usage, especially because of its cost. Nice way to have such one just near your sofa or armchair in order to play a couple of hours after hard day in office. It looks rather tidy and makes not bad sound both in speaker and headphones.

So if you have budget-oriented guitar (as I have) it can be friend with this combo.

I am building own little home studio now so later maybe I will add some details to this review after checking combo sound together with other specs.

For the price and considering the speaker size, I am really impressed!

When I started out there was nothing like this amp at this price point. To get a two channel amp (the distortion isn't that bad either!) with an inbuilt reverb, is nothing short of amazing! Colour me impressed!
