Starter Amp

I recommend it to everyone who starts playing a guitar because it sounds great, and its easy to use it. The price is very good at its quality.

Good for budget!

This is a good amplifier for its budget. If you need a practice amp it's more than enough. The sound has clarity, where the overdrive is ok.

I recommend this to anyone on a budget and beginners.

Harley Benton 20-R amp

This hb-20r amp well constructed at this price point.

Iv cranked this all the way and it handles fine with the gain turned down slightly it can handle full volume,not that you need to as 20 watts is loud enough for a practice amp at low volumes,in a practice environment.

Sound quality:: it's got a good all round tone, with the gain turned up it has the desired grunt you need for some rock or blues tones,for metal tones you would really need a distortion pedal, metal pedal i'v just reviewed the Harley Benton metal pedal ,this is a great combo with this amp for metal overdriven tones,highly recommended,

This amp has a spring reverb effect on it which is good.

The handle is ok for a plastic handle.

Basic features overall, fantastic value for money at this price.

Great amp to play home

For this price you can not really expect much more.

You can plug in a jack and use headsets which is super good to play with background music.

Good for starters but not really recommended if you are looking something a bit advanced.

i bought this for a friend who is a beginner. it's just ok for the money, something to make some noise with.

Good budget option

I got this amp because was the most powerful for the budget I had when I started playing guitar 8 month ago, It sounds good, the clean sound is nice and defined when played up to 3/4 of the volume range. I can't comment on the dirty sound because I don't play that often (not my type of music). I think it?s a good buy for someone who is starting to play and want to have some fun playing with friends (believe me it can be loud) but you are limited in the range of sounds you can play because it?s not an emulated amp.

It has an external audio input that becomes handy when practicing my lessons I can plug my phone a play along the backing track. Also the headphone Jack keeps the wife happy when playing late in the night.

Surprisingly good amplifier!

This little amp looks small and week, but wow! I was really surprised by the quality of sound for the price, and it is actually quite loud as well! More than enough for practice at home or at a small rehearsal. It think I?d even try it with a microphone at a small gig or in studio! :)

Very nice sounding clean channel and the overdrive channel is very responsive to the amount of overdrive you give it. Just a little bit overdrive for cool blues and wham it on for killer metal riffs! Nice treble, mid and bass adjustments. The reverb adjustment is also very responsive and is sounds sweet! I bought the amp for a student to practice at home. I think I?ll advice him to move it around with caution so the reverb spring doesn`t come loose.

And then I?m getting one for myself as well! :)

Incredibly good for the money

This is the perfect beginners amp. Not too loud, but plenty loud at the same time. Nice tone. Thumbs up.

Well it is pretty fine for it's price but in general not the best choice unless you are a beginner like i was when i bought it

Is very good to use at home.

The equalizer is working fine, you can get very different ways if you use equaliser.

A great first amp

I bought this as part of a pack I got for my first guitar. It was all I needed at the time and really served me well for the duration of my use.

I honestly was really surprised by the quality of the overdrive on this amplifier. It outdid the quality on some more expensive amps I've used, which is really saying something. The gain control was nice and responded well. I was also surprised to see that it had line out, as well as an ipod and earphone in, features usually not to be expected on an amp of this price range.

Fantastic if you're looking for a cheap amp with some functionality, but only for practice and not if you're too worried about your tone.

Practice amp

I moved to another country and had to buy a new amp. My friend had owned HB-20 amp. So I decided to buy same model amp too. Friend had older one, so design and some features were lacking that I really wanted-like, reverb, 3.5mm aux,headphones. But in this amp. It has it all. 2 channels, SPRING reverb(you can test in while it is on, shake the amp and you will hear the spring inside). Built quality, as always for Harley Benton products, are stunning for the price. Design as well is very well made. Makes it look more expensive that it really is. Amp really accepts pedals in front of it. Clean channel on this amp is really good, just crank up reverb and enjoy full blast of clean sound. Sorry to say that it isn't that great on dirty channel. If you crank up gain more than 7 you would normally start to feel distortion, but it kinda doesn't get into that distortion field and gets you to like, really saturated overdrive, but not distortion still. It has great rock tones, but as far as metal tones go, you need to look for a pedal that will carry that. Overall, I'm very satisfied with it, for the price it's very good and will probably use as my practice amp for a long time.

Construction:

After 1 year now is still up and running, very well constructed, no problems at all.

Sound:

The sound of this is pretty decent at this price point. A good practice amp, not suitable for Gigs, due to low wattage. the built in reverb is good.A great item for the beginner student .

I will buy this product again if needed.

Clean and warm sounding

This mini monster proved itself in a garden party. Some of us played it next to a small acoustic drum and it was still perfectly clear and warm sounding despite it being only a 20Watt unit. The installed distortion is a bit disappointing, but still good enough for a fun time. Not good enough for a club gig, but this is not it's purpose. The EQ on it is easy to use and does the job well. The clean sound is very pleasant (suprisingly so!), but the distortion is only useful if you have it near you (or if you use an external unit for it). The build quality is great, and it is heavier than it looks, so for the price it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Good first amp

For anyone starting out, espcially on a low budget, this is great to get into things. The overdrive button adds some variety, and it's certainly provides enough to work with for anyone starting out in their bedroom, but obviously after that you'd expect something better! Had no problems at all after two years with it though.

otrolig förstärkare man kan få vad man vill ifrån den funk metal rock jazz blues ALLT. och vid det priset borde alla köpa en sån väldigt simpel att använda har vart så att jag har sett nybörjare som försöker använda en komplicerad förstärkare med många knappar och så och har inte vart nöjda ljudet eller tonen men med denna så är det enkelt att ställa in vilket ljud man vill ha men efter ungefär 3-4 månader så gick min sönder vet inte varför bara från ingen stans den brukade bli grön sen röd men nu så stannar den på grön och vill inte byta till den röda färgen men fortfarande nöjd ska faktist köpa en till men glömde en sak man måste ha den ganska högt om man vill ha den absolut bästa tonen jag tror att man kan köra ett gig med den utan problem

practise amp

Wow! What a great little amp. I bought this as part of a guitar bundle and was expecting something cheap and nasty, but what a surprise, this is made well is strong and sturdy and sounds great. Has everything I need form a practise amp. Love the ipod plug in. Would recommend this as a great buy and a great price.

HB-20R

A top quality amp and no mistake ...at this price point you dont expect much but this amp is way better than i could have expected ..great sounding reverb and huge amounts of tone ..built like a tank so good for small gigs or jam sessions with mates ..but its loud!! so dont be fooled by its size..great amp!

Don't know how they do this for the money!

Bought my brother a guitar and this amp just for practice. I already had a Fender practice amp myself. To be honest I wasn't expecting much but I got a very nice surprise. This is excellent value and although there are no fancy effects it has overdrive and clean. Both work remarkably well (for the money). Seriously thinking

of getting rid of the Fender and getting one of these instead for quarter the money. Highly recommended.
