Didn't expect this quality, very impressed
EPIC
Great guitar.
Floyd rose is a plus!!!!
Probably change out pick ups down the line.
Harley Benton S-620 TR Rock Series
In general, I think this price guitar is only suitable for beginners, because the price is relatively cheap, so I buy it for practice use, the overall feeling is quite suitable, and the cost performance is relatively high.
Very nice!
Gorgeous guitar. Flawless finish. Gold hardware is an awesome pairing with the red finish. Love it!
Incredibly satisfying for the price
Got this as an introduction of sorts to Floyd Rose tremolos and I am in love. Like all other Harley Benton products in this price range, the value is amazing and if you're okay with tinkering, you'll get it to punch way above it's actual price.
Would recommend for anyone who isn't quite ready or willing to spend big money on a Floyd Rose'd guitar
Super guitar for this money
When I was looking for a guitar, I needed a tight sound and a solid sustain. And just this guitar was able to surprise me. I am very satisfied.
Good Guitar, Bad Design
Everything is acceptable for the price except the placement of the knobs and pickup switch.
The Pickup switch gets block when you hook the whammy bar.
It's a good guitar for starters.
very good project guitar with bad FR
So I'm using this guitar for ten months and I really like it. It looks good, it sounds good, it feels good. Great build quality - no sharp edges or curved neck. BUT the main problem of this guitar is floyd rose and tuners: tuners feel ultra cheap, but there's a top lock, so it doesn't matter much. And the floyd rose is awful. Don't try to use it - your tune will be ruined immediatly. And once in a month you tune will be ruined just because it's a shitty floyd rose (I've set it properly, keep this in mind). So I'm planning to get an original floyd rose, nice tuners, and stick fokin pickups in there, I think with these upgrades the guitar will be 12/10
Overall great guitar
This guitar is overall really good. Even though it's really cheap. However, this guitar really needs some setting up so it can rise to its full potential. You will definitely need to remove the default strings which were extremely tense (probably 11's). The fretboard needs cleaning and conditioning because it is too dry. The frets need polishing and smoothing out because the strings feel too scratchy when sliding. The intonation was surprisingly good to be honest.
Conclusion:
If you are a more experienced guitar hobbyist and know how to properly clean, condition and configure this guitar and you want something that looks and sounds good but is cheap then this is for you. If you are a beginner, skip the floyd rose entirely.
pros: good pickups, nice look, not too heavy, decent quality
cons: cheap 3 way switch
Good 2nd guitar for me
This guitar looks and sounds really cool, but the factory strings are really bad
Very nice and quality guitar
Very nice guitar for the price. It sure needs some fretwork. (the edges of the frets are quite pointy.). Also some polishing for the frets.
Looks good
It does look good. A little heavier than I would have preferred, but price-wise can't really grumble too much. I had to block the (licenced I think) 'FR' Trem as it wouldn't stay in tune, also had to file down each and every fret edge due to fret sprout (which surprised and disappointed me). Now it plays and feels fine.
Great beginner guitar
I bought this guitar because of tremolo by floyd rose. Guitar came in perfect condition and almost all set. Needed to adjust an octave for two strings.
Guitar was detuning upon using tremolo bar, but it stopped when I changed strings.
Recommended for beginners!
Nice looking guitar
Even though it was delayed due the french closing the border it arrived in near perfect condition! I was hoping it was a darker red than what I had seen in some pictures and, it was. Nice looking and sounding guitar for the price. Some minor inperfections but they were easily sorted out. So, would I recommend it; yes I would. It has a nice feel to the neck and, don't be afraid of a floyd rose bridge they are not as scary as some people would make them out to be. The pickups sound fine for the price and genre!
I cannot believe this price for such a quality guitar
I purchased this guitar a while ago and cannot believe what quality you get for one hundred dollar range. The ONLY weak point in this guitar is the pickups. But remine you it's under $200.00. I installed one Seymour Duncan bridge and now the guitar is super awesome. If you are a beginner and have the time to learn how to tune a Floyd Rose style bridge this would be an incredible deal. If you are a seasoned player all you need to do is upgrade the pickups and you have a $1,000.00 plus quality guitar. I own many guitars and have been owning this guitar for a while and cannot stop thinking I bought this guitar for under $200.00 and put one Seymour Duncan pickup and it keeps up with my Jackson with a Floyd but well over the price. Buying this guitar is a win win situation. I have bought a few guitars from Harley Benton and received great customer service. I just purchased a B-Stock CST-24 for a great discounted price and just got it in and I promise I could not find one single scratch on it. It was the first B-Stock guitar I ever bought. I think most of the B-Stock guitars are returned just because they did not want it not because of something wrong with it.
Looks Top
Sound meh
Switch wobbly
For the price you know what to expect
Nice for the price
I wanted an electric guitar with a Floyd for some time, so I decided to buy this one mostly because of its price. I have to say it was worth it, but there are some problems that really stick out.
So, what is good?
-The pickups are fine, although they are from an unknown brand the sound isn't bad.
-After properly setting it up, the Floyd Rose bridge stays in tune.
-The finish on the guitar is really nice, the frets are smooth and polished, the maple neck is really comfortable, and the overall look of the guitar is really pleasant for the eyes. It really is a joy to play.
There are some problems that sadly, lower the total quality of this guitar.
-First is probably the biggest one. The guitar came with the volume knob broken on the inside. The knob spins around the pots and moves a bit to left and right while you turn it around. It’s a bit hard to notice at first but you can definitely feel it while turning it around. It’s not a big problem though because the knobs still work fine.
-The bridge was setup badly, but I expected that. The tension on the springs was too high and one of the strings wasn’t properly attached to the bridge, and it jumped out after I tried to tune the guitar before restringing it to see how it sounds.
-The tuners are a bit weak. It feels like sometimes you tighten to much just by slightly turning them up. The fine tuners could also be better, they are made out of very cheap plastic and tuning with them really is a pain.
Overall, I think the quality compared to the price is really good. Although I think the pros outweigh the cons, If the problems that I listed are really worrying you, I would go for something a bit more expansive.
A great and a very versatile guitar.
This is a guitar that is easily worth more.
I use it for recording and playing live and it sounds great especially for hard rock type of music.
The pickups sound good, the Floyd Rose stays well in tune and the neck is really nice to play on even tough it is a wide neck.
This maybe a problem only on my guitar that the pickup selector switch is very loose an is easily movable but it isn't a big problem to fix it.
Overall it is a great sounding and playing guitar and I would recommend it to anyone.
Good pricing
#The guitar has a solid price for its features and looks.
*The finishing looks awesome with transparent red and gold hardwares, giving an evil-royally (if that's even a word) looks. The body is ergonomics in my opinion, slimmer in the middle and you can easilly reach the last frets, so good for you if you want to shreds. However my unit has a tiny imperfection on the bottom of the body (finishing-wise), but it's not very noticeable.
*The neck feels smooth enough for me, don't have any issues with that
*Sounds very good
*Floyd Rose could be a pros & cons, pros because at this price point you basically got more feature, especially if that's what you really want. Cons because as we already know setting up, tuning and changing strings on Floyd Rose guitar requires extra efforts.
*Overall it's a solid guitar for its price. I got what i pay for and so far happy for that.
Good for the price
Pros -
finished fairly well
plays nicely - nice neck shape
2 humbuckers sound great
3-way toggle switch is really solid
all gold hardware + screws - looks nice
cons -
Frets needed filing smooth
Mine had a chip on the guitar neck
The whammy bar comes loose easily
It doesn't hold tune well at all, I have to retune it all the time.
The neck is glossy so it's not the smoothest thing to play if you move around the fretboard a lot but it's not a huge issue, it still plays just fine.
