Good for the money

It stays in tune and the finish is perfect on the other hand the electronics aren't so good the single coil pickup is noisy and there's noise when I take my hand off the strings

My first bass

Well as I decided to finally start practicing the bass my quest started to find one good priced and most important good sounding bass guitar

So this one came on my path and after receiving and having played on it for the first day I have to say that I am happy so far.

Sound wise I find it good, price wise great and the look is fine for me to, but hey its my first bass so I am not to picky yet

I do think I would like to try different strings, those can be a bit better

For a starter bass great deal!

greetings

Daniel

Solid PJ Bass

Bought this as my 1st PJ style bass. Still have it despite some initial issues with the electronics in it & it came in a battered box that had the tip of the headstock go thought the end of the box.

Overall for the price if your looking for a solid PJ style bass to give you your bass needs ... this is one to grab !!

Decent

I use it at home to practise.

Very decent bass for the price. Way better that some more expensive ones.

Not the best build quality, but soundwise it is awesome.

Great option for a first bass

As one of the cheapest options on the market this bass really is worth all the money you spend. The features are great, to have p and j pickups is very ideal for helping discover which is more your sound and can help you decide what you’d like your next bass to be. In terms of quality everything is the way it would be for the price. The wires aren’t insulated which can result in feedback if you hold your phone too close to the pickups but really apart from that this thing is brilliant

Ideal for getting started

As a bass for getting started its PERFECT. Sounds good, built well and needed very little setup. Highly recommend if you want something that's good but didn't want to throw a lot at it to get started playing.

Pretty good and solid instrument

The instrument is pretty good, light, the sound is very fair for its price. I recommend it with no second thoughts.

Standard Harley Benton Offering

This is my first bass so I let all my friends who play test it out in order to get a better opinion.

Over all they all said it is one on the OK-est basses out there. It needed a little set-up out of the box but nothing too major. The biggest issue was the pocket was not 100% level. The fit was tight we just had to shim it to get it perfectly level. The tuners were a bit wonky and will probably be the first think I replace. IT was a bit neck heavy but that is an issue with even more expensive basses. There were no problems with sharp or long fretts. All the fretts were passably level. The tone control was a fairly unresponsive with little difference between both extremes. The sound from both the P and J pickups were probably a little better than one would expect for the price. I absolutely LOVE the coloring and finish.

Great value but not a high end bass.

Attractive axe

Despite one minor finish flaw - alder body is perfect. Neck to body joint is good. Fret edges are not sharp. Roseacer is roseacer. Overall impression - fine!

Another great buy !

Great P bass copy for the price. Needs other pickups to sound like a real P bass sould sound... Great looks , freatboard similar to the prototype, with another set of pups and electronics it can be a workhorse !

A good starter PJ

The pickups and electronics are surprisingly good -a decent volume and nice and clean. The build quality is pretty good as well and after a little setup it played very nicely. For me, the neck seemed a little thick but then I'm used to a jazz. For the price, well worth trying.

Another winner!

Yet another Harley Benton bass for me, they are so nice I can't stop buying them!

This guitar is flawless as usual and the only change I plan to make is some branded strings.

I fail to see how anybody could be disappointed in this guitar, not just taking account of the price paid, it's just really nice, the quality is as good if not better than guitars I have paid more than five times this for.

Nice project Bass

I bought this as a little project, straight out the box it plays fine after a little truss rod adjustment. The neck is great and the fret work feels really nice. Looks however are a little garish especially the very plastic looking scratch plate.

I feel in love with the look of the road worn Sandberg California II VM4 RW BK HCA, but didn't have the cash, however with a road worn black paint job, a set of Seymour Duncan quarter pounders, a couple of switching pots and a bespoke new scratch plate this thing also looks great as well.

In time I may add some better machine heads or maybe a new bridge but for now I'm more than happy with it and it feels good to play, you would never know it was a £100 bass.

Pretty good

I have been using it for 5 months and it is great. The setup on it wasn't great but it was still playable. It plays great with a good setup. I don't really like the looks of it , but it is what i could get for the price. Great quality and it works fine after 5 months of daily use.

Great bass considering the price

I don't think there is a better bass you can get for this price.

You won't get things you get with premium instruments, like brand name pickups, better selection of woods (and less pieces used), good final inspection, but everything works, and it sounds good too.

Perfect choice for people starting to play bass and for people that play other instruments primarily. You get a nice, well built, versatile PJ bass without breaking the bank.

A great bass for beginners for its affordable and has good caracteristics.Very beutiful finish and no sharp ends on the neck. the machine heads arent very great but the bass itself for the price its very good.

Great bass for the money!!

Bought to replace Harley Benton vintage series Bass (99 euro model).

This one represents a substantial bump in quality.

Great finish, no flaws to speak of.

Good fret finishing, no sharpies.

Lovely rosewood fretboard, unlike other HBs I've bought this one was not dry when received, it seemed to have been treated

Sounds really good, nice range of tones depending on which pickup combo you use, it has J and P pickups.

Colour is great, turtle-shell pickguard is a like it/hate it thing. I like it

for 111 euro this is a seriously nice bass. I've owned similarly priced examples from other brands and they were not in the same league

great value for money

This bass is great value for money, it has all the features a standard bass has with all the adjustable features desired to get the perfect set up. Changing the strings and doing a proper set up really proved its worth and enhanced the bass. i would say this bass is great for someone who is starting out or for someone who plays regular. I would say that it would be good for gigs but maybe a good back up for serious players.

I personally used this bass as a project to strip it apart and upgrade all the parts. However i this review is based on as per issued. the paint work and the lacquer was really thick so it is robust for a long life.

I would be mindful of the frets and ensure that all they're all smooth. i had to lightly file one down as it was a little sharp.

I hope this helps.
