A budget bass that doesn't feel like it's on a budget.

This bass is just awesome! I bought it for practicing but it turned out to be my recording bass.It has enough controls for tone shaping and its really versatile as it handles many music styles.

When I got it out of the box I was really surprised from the building quality. The finish is really good and its parts such as the bridge or the keys are good enough .

The neck and the fretboard are extremely well built for an instrument at this price range and offer comfortable playing.

After months of using it for recording purposes and some live performances nothing have changed about my opinion. I didn't expect all these from a budget bass!!!

I am really satisfied from this instrument. I just love it.

Definitely worth the money!

the bass if my life

I used to have low cost basses. They all sounded very bad and the neck all twisted out. I own one of these for years now. Once i've replaced the stock strings and made a basic setup that anyone can make on it's own - oh my god! This is a huge instrument! It's better that some of the originals -you know what i mean - that i've played. With it's high precision and sound you can also slap like a pro. I can't understand how can someone put an instrument of this quality in the market for this price!

My Opinion!

I'm glad to say that this guitar is good piece of wood!

It's fits home recording sessions with my friends.

Sounds really nice and overall look is very pleasant.

I really recommend it for all just starting bass lovers because in this case price not equals quality because it's inexpensive and good!

Cheap but comfortable

Great jazz bass made in its original proportions, got no faults in its form and seeming. Mechanics, fretboard, pick-ups are very good and made well. All construction is solid and its pleasure to hold it an play it.

Excellent entry model

I play guitar and wanted a bass for song writing purposes, just to try and play the basics so I got this model. It has worked great for me, nice action, the tone is good and the feel is fine. A bass player mate tried it and felt it was not as well made as his Fender but otherwise liked it too. For a beginner or young student its a perfect introduction to the instrument. Very happy with it.

excellent budget buy

If you need a bass to get the job done, and don't want to spend much money, then look no further.

On arrival all it needed was a 1/4 turn on the truss rod to get the neck the way I like it, and it was good to go

The finish is as good as any sub £300 guitar, tuners are rock solid, the pickups and electrics are all I need in a bass. Even the strings, which I usually change straight away on any guitar or bass I buy are good quality, so they're still on it.

All I've had to do is swap the pickgaurd for a tortoiseshell, and only because I think thats what a sunburst jazz should have.

All in all very happy with my purchase and would definitely buy another if anything happened to this one

I loved this bass

I have since sold this on, but played and recorded with it for about two years, I loved it. Nice light playability. Excellent for a learner, (or punk rocker). With a new set of strings and little bit of a set up, it was a really nice little bass.Definitely recommended in this price range.

Surprisingly good budget jazz bass

Interesting one this! First can say amazing value and a very playable, great sounding bass with honestly most of the typical jazz bass sounds and feel (from experience). Impressed with the poplar body, very nice resonance and sustain - pickups are pretty good too, finish all good. Couple of weird things - the bridge is mounted at a slight angle. Unscrewing revealed the reason, to cover previous holes caused by even more innacurate attempts at siting the bridge! The guy responsible needs telling! I bought this though as a project bass, so repositioned the bridge (old holes filled) and aligned pickups better , also levelled frets - will refinish and will be be a great bass!

Jazz Man

I just can't believe how much bass you are getting for so little money with this.

I use it regularly no as my live bass without issue and I don't have to fear about it getting stolen or damaged out live as I could always just get another without issue!

Put on a decent set of flats on it and play, feels comfortable enough and sounds absolutely fine.

Just a word of warning for those who wish to swap out the pickups at a later date, they are not standard JB size so a bit of work and routing has to be done to get them to fit.

A great Bass

I could not believe when this arrived. I bought it for a pupil as a second instrument for his school exams. Wow so much better than the equivalent Squier and half the price. The neck is thin and all frets were good. The finish great. well recommended.

The price is just too small for the quality you will get!

I bought this guitar just to play a bit on bass and for some home recording and mostly just to have some fun (I'm more a guitarist, tho).

Despite the money I paid for this guitar I have to admit that the quality of it is amazing for the price. The guitar is looking very good and decent, the wood quality is brilliant. The sound quality is also very good and I really enjoy it (if you need something better you can always replace the pickup)

It feels amazing to play this guitar. And in case you need a cheap guitar, mostly just to play around with it I would recommend this one. But keep in nuns that it's also suitable for home recording.

By the way the guitar came with the cable in a very safe package and also there was included a paper with a person's signature, that tested my guitar, what really made me smile :)

Very happy with my purchase and definitely will buy again.

Good Beginner bass

I bought this bass to learn on. It was packaged extremely well and was not damaged on the flight to England. In comparison to other makes of bass in a similar price bracket, I find that it has nice smooth pots with no scratch, very little noise on the electronics and a very solid build. I would recommend as a first bass to anyone. It came with an okay bass lead which impressed me in this price bracket.

An exceptionally light and easy bass to play

I knew that it could be a gamble on this one. I bought it part of a pack but I also knew that it could be all good or all bad. It was a present and my partner's first bass. I wanted to be a nice surprise. And it was. The bass is very light very "petite" in a way. It's extremely easy to play and it really feels natural to handle. The quality of the build is not as solid as a fender or other rocking brand but it was impressive the lightness and how easy it was to handle. Everyone I lent the bass to told me it was an excellent bass so I would recommend it no problem.

Decent.

First of all, i'd like to say the sound is surprisingly good for such a "cheap" bass. Owned it for 3 years and only gotten one strap button off of it, so its been pretty reliable. 2 volume and 1 tone control, which seems to give a sligth hiss when turned all the way up. But still would definetly recommend this for a first bass.

Am still impressed.

I bought this in 2010 as part of a set and was impressed by the finish, the sound and the way it played. Since then I have had a full set-up and recently bought ne strings and am even more impressed.

In short the twin single coil pick-ups and 2-vol, 1-tone creates all the sounds you would expect and on the strap this looks and feels like a much more expensive guitar.

I look all the time for a better Jazz-style bass guitar but to get anything better I need to spend at least 3 times the price.

Vintage sound!!

This 4 string bass guitar is a very nice bass guitar and I am very pleased with it. Where it lacks in features, with only a volume control for each pick up and a master volume control knob, it makes up for with it's really deep, quality and some what vintage sound. I wasn't too sure about the colour and shape of it online but once it had arrived, it was incredibly bold and the guitar itself was lighter and smaller than dearer than most other basses, but I do not see this as a fault as it really made it easier to carry about and easier to use with the frets being close together.

I'm stunned!

This is my first bass guitar and I don't know much about them but IMHO it's a great piece of gear. It sounds and looks very good and there is nothing you can fault this guitar for especially when you consider the price.

I recorded a track using this guitar. Check it out:
