Very good for its price. The only problem is it's a bit noisy pickups. You need to replace the strings when you buy it.

Formidable guitare pour une bouchée de pain !

J'ai reçu hier la guitare commandée. Je précise d'emblée que je suis un joueur non professionnel de longue durée : j'ai 79 ans et je pratique la guitare depuis mes 15 ans. Durant ces années j'ai possédé des dizaines de guitares acoustiques et électriques et parmi elles de nombreuses stratocaster Fender et Squier mexicaines et coréennes ainsi que des Blade et G&L asiatiques. Cette expérience me permet sans doute d'émettre des comparaison objectives.

A première vue, la Harley Benton ST-62MN VW Vintage Series est très jolie, le choix des couleurs du corps harmonise très bien avec le manche en érable caramélisé. Après inspection plus détaillée on découvre une excellente finition, rien à dire à ce sujet. Les frettes sont parfaitement polies et ne débordent pas sur les extrémités. Après avoir (traditionnellement) changé de cordes et réglé le chevalet après avoir retiré un ressort... plus rien à reprocher à cette belle guitare : jouabilité et sonorité irréprochables sont au rendez-vous. Même la bonne stabilité d'accordage (en trémolo flottant) me surprend malgré les mécaniques bon marché. En résumé : le prix de la guitare est incroyablement bas pour la qualité offerte.

Ce matin je suis passé au supermarché local pour faire des courses et acheter de la nourriture pour le week-end : j'en avais pour 130€, pratiquement le prix de la guitare !

Everything from the logo to the frets are better on this guitar. Better than even some of their more expensive fusion style strats. Highly recommend

You get even better than you pay for

My overall experience with this guitar was very positive. The only issue with it in comparison with cheap Squier ST models is its neck. Although, it's made with higher quality materials, it needs a bit of finishing work otherwise, the frets aren't finished properly. But hey, you can always pay some extra bucks for such finishing work or do it by yourself and you will get a nice sounding and playing guitar. And it won't feel cheap at all like Squiers in the same range of price.

Best guitar

I bought this guitar to record demos of our songs, cuz our 2 guitarists both have strats. I don't play guitar while playing in band. I'm just singing. But anyway I bought it for this reason and it's excellent! It's super comfy and nice to touch and play. We even take it on gigs to have a 1 guitar with unusual tuning. Sound wise it's good.

great guitar, needs love is all.

I enjoyed breaking it in, yes it's great out of the box but depending on where you live, altitude, humidity, temp, it will need tweaks. I live in the high dry desert. The one I rec'd is terrific. I would highly recommend this guitar whatever level player you are. Tuners are good, nut is good, frets are good, trem is good. All can be improved with some elbow grease. For this price it's so close to the one's at 5-6 times the money, it's well worth putting the minor upgrades into it. Those may include several depending on your tastes and expectations. But you are going to get every bit of your money's worth it of this instrument.

I absolutely love the tone and playability. It really has grown on me in a short time and I didn't spend a dime on upgrades, polished the fret ends a little, did a minor truss rod adjust, minor action adjustments, new strings and a good clean and oil. It is a real good guitar, I have more and better, but I keep picking this one up. I really dig it, vintage pups and this bad dog has some bark.

Would Buy Again (Did in fact!)

LOVE this St-style guitar. Feels and looks absolutely fantastic, even for the name brand ones. Also not too heavy or light, just right. The only issue I have with it is the electronics aren't wired correctly as one of the tone knobs doesn't work, but it doesn't bother me because I was planning on upgrading them in the first place. - Just get one, you don't have much to lose!

I bought this guitar few months ago

It plays very well built quality is excellent. You won't find a strat style guitar better than this within the price range. Alnico 5 pickups they are exceptional. Overall a very satisfying player

IN THE BEGINNING

I have played, repaired and done custom work on electric guitars for over 35 years and I have been a metal finisher in the Orthopedic industry for over 40 years I couldn't wait to check this thing out!

PROS:

1- shipping was fast and safe ordered it on Monday and it was at my door on Friday (Indiana 🇺🇸 USA)

2- Cosmetics I took it out of the box checked the finish it was flawless and I look at surgical instrumentation all day long that deals with micro buff, machine and belting lines I couldn't even find a micro buff line or blemish on this guitar even after putting bifocal glasses on still nothing.

3- assembly everything straight as could be neck,strings, string 'T's and the tuners.

String height needed to be lowered and tension release on tremolo springs but thats just a personal preference. Bridge stays in tune and I'm a heavy whammy bar guy!

I normally slap active EMG's in my guitars but these Roswell pickups actually sound pretty good so I'll leave them in.

Neck has a nice satin finish no frett barbs sticking out nicely rolled edges and very smooth to play.

CONS: Now I have to a few more Harley Benton worse part is I have 10 in my shopping cart and I don't which ones to buy first.

Great

I wasn’t expecting much, but the sound and the feel is great, the pickups are a tiny bit microphonic, however thats not too much of an issue and isn’t noticeable unless you put your phone over it. There are a few imperfections on the finish but thats not a big deal especially for a guitar of this price. Also my guitar came setup quite well too, and very almost in tune which is a plus! However the cons to the guitar i listed before are very “nitpicky” so genuinely its a good guitar and probably the best st style on the market for that price!

Plays like it should

Super good workshorse of a guitar for a great price. I modded a bit but to be honest that was just cos i enjoy that sort of thing. Never touched the pickups as they were good as is. Great little Strat copy for the collection.

Faulty product

The guitar arrived with the middle pickup not working, the customer shouldn’t be the QC department - according to documents contained it had passed inspection

Surprisingly good!

Beautiful guitar. In my opinion it surpasses the Classic Vibe Series from Squier. The carmelised maple neck is amazing and the fretwork was perfect. No flaws or imperfections on the entire guitar. The Roswell pickups surprised me and have a very vintage sound. The only downside is the height adjustment screws on the bridge saddles are really long and can cut your hands if you palm mute, but not a major issue. You can buy replacement screws for less than a dollar. Highly recommend this guitar. I bought a second one in Dakota Red and it came flawless!

Love it!

I've always wanted a SSS Strat and the St62 is just that guitar. Really easy to play and great strat sounds from the roswell pickups. Absolutly brilliant

Love this guitar. Setup was perfect. Neck is hard to describe. It is substantial but at the same time just feels great to play. Not sure how a guitar this good is available for this price.

Very good for the price, decent overall

This guitar isn't fantastic, it isn't going to sound or play as good as a medium or high end instrument, and if you think it will you will be disappointed. However, for the price you pay, the guitar punches well above its weight. This price point would have got you an unplayable piece of trash when I first started learning guitar 15 years ago. Now you can get this, a perfectly playable decent guitar
