Harley Benton ST-62MN VW Vintage Series Reviews
just a good guitar
I will say briefly, for its cost a great thing, for beginners the best choice.
Feels like a more expensive instrument
The vintage feel satin neck is amazing, the body finish is excellent and the whole instrument feels like a far more expensive strat... I just love playing this guitar...it sounds great too.
Harley Benton ST-62MN VW
I can confidently say that this guitar is a cheap version of a good guitar. The accessories are all cheap, but not the worst, the tuners are good, the machine is so-so. I had a much better machine on Cort G100. The fretboard is smooth and in excellent condition, there are no comments on this. An incomprehensible situation with the pickups, why do the middle magnets look outward more than all the others, I wonder how it should be? The sound is about the same Cort G100, I would even say that Cort sounded a little more interesting. In general, the guitar is good, I liked it. The only thing that could put a better quality machine and it would be generally great.
Excellent purchase
Great guitar for the money. The only problems identified were the middle pickup. Unpolished frets. The neck is not set at the right angle to the body or is too deep in the body, as a result, when lowering the strings, the bolts on the bridge protruded very strongly and severely scratched the hand. All this is very easy to eliminate at home and with straight hands. In general, I was very pleased with the purchase.
Fantastic Guitar
the guitar I got is perfect, no problem of any kind, nice fretworks and very good paint job. The neck is very confortable and the overall feeling is good. For a guitar at this price point it's impressive, much better even of others HB i got.
love it
lovely guitar, the neck is good and chunky, the tremolo stays in tune, which all Harley Bentons I had were doing, I don t know how they manage to do it, could be the angle over the nut, but they all did .slichtly heavier than others
Cool!
This is my first electric guitar! I am learning to play, for a start it sounds and looks very cool! Thanks!
More than vfm
Neck built quality is great. However, the body is a bit roughly shaped which is the only drawback of this guitar. Paintwork good. Hardware does the job and pickups sound nice. In overall its a 3.5/5 and much better from any ST up to about $300-400. For the price range it is off-course 5/5.
Awesome Guitar
Love my guitar, great quality, great sound. no issues at all, played great right out of the box, made it from europe to US with no issues. looking to buy another :P

My Harley Benton ST-62MN VW Vintage Series
This is a very good instrument. Especially for the money I've paid.
I like the sound, the neck and the body. Almost all done with impeccable quality. I feel the tonewood is great. Unfortunately the frets edges were sharp. So I filed the frets manually, not a big deal. Another issue is the tuners. They are bad quality. So I changed them for good Grover type. The most important - this guitar is highly upgrade-able. For example one can change the pickups for a good brand name. I'm absolutely positive it would sound amazing. I think for the price I've paid there couldn't be better guitar never. If you are professional musician and understand guitars all those small issues will never bother you at all.
Shockingly good value!
I bought this one out of curiosity. Read the reviews and needed to know if this thing is as good as they say. I usually play LP?s but wanted some ST ??twang?? and found this one.
I was pleasently surprised, this guitar is very well made. Has a nice feel to it, chunky neck, solid knobs, jack, switch and tuners. Frets are even, beutiful creamy color, and feels like way more expensive guitars i?ve played.
Only thing I had problems with was getting the palstic of the pickguard. That?s it.
Solid guitar for amazing price!
st 62 mn
plays ok, but the pickup themselves feed backs too much and i could sing into them, and hear my voice. too microphonic.
Great quality for little money
Pluses: Looks great, everything is very neat. The neck is smooth and frets do not need to be fitted with a file, the strings do not ring in harmony. Good pickups, electronics work as they should.
Disadvantages: In winter, when the heating was working, the vulture dried out and after 6 months the frets began to stick around the edges, but they themselves did not move up. The detuning of the scale was bad, floyd rose was also tightened. Strings with traces of rust.
Anyway it's a great guitar for 100 euros
Amazing guitar for this price
The overal build quality and sound is out of this world for this price. It came set up great right out of the box. I only had to tune up one string. The fretwork and the neck in general is very good, especially for this price point. The only place where you maybe can tell that this is a "budget" guitar is that the cut edges of the plastic pickguard and backplate aren't as clean. But that is honestly the only negative I can give this guitar and that's a minor one at that.
Very Nice
If your on the fence about this one, don't be! This is a very nice instrument! Fit, finish, sound all very nice!
Great, but problems with Micro Amp on AC power
I've played quite a few ST style guitars over the years, but the biggest drawback for me was that none of them actually sounded like the real thing.
I was therefore pleasantly surprised by the ST-62. In a blind test, I'd find it really difficult to tell the difference between this and a Mexican Strat (which costs over five times more!).
Build quality is great and it's really enjoyable to play. Set-up was pretty good 'out of the box'.
The only weak point in my opinion is the electronics. I normally play at home through a small micro-amp powered by an AC adaptor. I've several guitars and they all work fine with this, however the ST-62 produced quite a bit of "hissing" noise when idle. The noise only disappeared when I touched the strings or any metal part. When I removed the AC adaptor and used batteries instead, it worked fine. I suspect, therefore, that there might be some kind of grounding/shielding issue, or that the guitar is just overly sensitive to electrical interference.
I tested it with a larger, mains-only amplifier with good quality earthing, and it performed much better. That said, it is somewhat noisier when idle compared to my other guitars, especially my Harley Benton TE-20 which is super-quiet.
Overall, however, this is a great guitar and definitely a "keeper" in my collection.
This was my school
Got this guitar over a year ago, and I learnt how to modify a guitar on her.
Sound very, very good, and feels just perfect. The wiring was a bit weak, but I ended transforming it with the time.
Looks amazing, plays amazing, ages amazingly. I just love it!
Excellent low-cost Strat
This guitar is terrific value. Minor improvement could be more rounded fret-ends, but you can do that yourself. They're pretty well-rounded as it is. Great bargain. I've bought two.
meets expectations
Considering the reviews written here I was expecting a better quality, yet its quality and sound is greater than its price. Service was fast and flawless.
