Harley Benton Valuestrings EL 9-42 4-stars Reviews
Good for just having strings on hand
I really like them because they really are very cheap. They do get dirty kind of fast, but even if you use 3-4 sets a month its still cheaper than other brands. Also the feeling of new strings 3 times a month is worth it.
Excellent value for money
The strings sound good and long lasting. great price. No very opaque. I use them both on electric and acoustics, which is not orthodox.
Good value for the price
Sound somewhat slim, but for what they are, they offer a pretty decent price/value ratio.
For regular home exercises these strings could be a good choice
They definitely are not the best, they are just ok, especially for the price. For regular home exercises these strings could be a good choice.
Inexpensive but not cheap
Buy a load of these store them in a drawer. Every time you shop pick up a set or two and never run out of strings again.
They are great sounding strings that are just one rung below the brands that cost 3x as much. Home practise, students or anyone on a budget can rest assured these are durable and give a consistent tonal response across the gauges.
So happy.
i am satisfied
Decent strings for the price, suitable for beginners
absoulte bang for your buck
These strings are very decent quality. for the price you will not be able to beat them. I have had this set on my guitar for a good few months and they still sounds pretty fresh.
I highly recommend trying these strings. very easy on the wallet. try a couple different gauges.
I often use the bass sets when doing studio recordings as they are so affordable i can change the strings after tracking each song and keep a super fresh bright tone.
Value string
Pretty much exactly what you get. Decent strings, a bit "tinny" sounding, but for such price that can be forgiven. Highly recommended if you're an amateur, just playing at home - gigging musicians might want to use higher quality stings.
These are good strings
I must have changed strings a couple of hundred times. These strings are as good as any I have put on.
At this pricepoint i think these strings are quite good. No tuning or breaking issues with these :)
I've been using these for ages. I think they last as much as the more expensive strings and if you're buyng 7 euro strings you might as well get a few of these. Can't compare them to more expensive strings because i have been using these for so long, i can't even remember what other brands sound like.
Great strings if you are in a hurry
They are great strings if you need some quick cheap strings
"Why Valuestrings? Ooohhh!"
You get what you pay for! Valuestrings!
They sound good, but for sweaty hands, they degrade and rust up really fast! Even with caring and tending to them with some GHS Fastfret, they're a little less durable than bigger name brands. The price, however, compensates for all that! And for someone that doesn't use the guitar all that much, if it's well stored, in proper conditions, the strings will be ok after 2 or 3 months.
Didn't use it yet, but they seem to be high quality.
Decent string to start with
I bought this strings for my guitar project set up. I used them to test new parts on the guitar. Played them for a week and them change them for better ones. For this purpose they are good. Otherwise they are incomparable with better strings. I replaced them with Elixir Nanoweb and the difference is massive. But so it is the price of these two sets.
Good Value
Not the best strings in the world, but very cheap. So you can say its quite good value based on the price. In terms of quality, decent finishing, somewhat good sound and don't break as easily as I thought they would.
Affordable quality strings
I put this strings on a Samick acoustic electric, and i did not notice any difference on my previous, more expensive strings.... Would highly recommend this.
decent strings
Decent strings for the money ,,, very handy to add a few spares to your next order, for just a euro or two they are great- Obviously wont be playing gigs with them but they are better than old strings
Can't expect much
What these strings offer for the price is okay. I wouldn't use them professionally and on expensive instruments.
I use them on some cheap guitars I have just so i could have fresh strings and not spend a lot of money.
wow
I genuinely cant tell the difference between these and the other main brands.
Ive knocked a star off because the packet isnt vacum sealed. and if i had to be critical the only thing i could think of is the ferrules arernt wrapped as tightly as a slinky would be.
