Harley Benton Valuestrings EL 9-42 4-stars Reviews
Really good value for money
Good value for money, hold tune, feel ok, nothing else to say really
Good strings for the money
Good inexpensive strings, but sometimes the first string break when bending, this has happened more than once. But if you play carefully, the strings will last a long time.
Great for that price
I am using this string set at my Harley Benton TE-30 telecaster and i am happy with this choice. It’s increadibly cheap, i was ordered many of them and also some other popular brands, so i paid totally less money to my string sets. Higly recommend
missing harmonics
theya are a bit bland but if you play alot and like to change strings every 1-2 weeks, these are not that bad option you can get 24 set for like 1.24 per set or something
It. Just. Works.
This guitar strings does it's job. That's it.
The best for the price
I think you can't find better strings at this price.
No brainer
I use these strings on all my electrics, studio and gigs. I use them all the time and save a bundle. I order a couple of a dozen at a time. No regrets. Interestingly very few string breaks.
Getting a full set of strings for less than the price of a single string? Sold!
I don't break strings too often and I keep my strings in good condition so I don't change them very often, either. But the times I do break a string I want the new string to be decent enough in quality so that I don't feel the need to change it right away for something better. These strings sound "good enough" for me and cost less than two chocolate bars.
Bang for the Buck
These strings get the job done. They are cheap in price but offer a good alternative for people who like to change a lot of strings, gig after gig.
No frills, they do what they're meant to do. PLAY.
String HB EL 9-42 - I liked the strings
I installed the strings on a Harley Benton Electric Guitar Kit Single Cut. In comparison with the standard d'Addario Strings: .010 - .046 on my other HB-35 Plus guitar, of course, it is not quite correct to compare strings of different thickness, but I do not see a big difference in quality and sound. The structure is held perfectly, the winding is tight, except that the diameter of the hole in the lower string holders is a little smaller, it may be a problem with Bigsby, but I don't have it, I can't check it. I liked the strings, for a small price the strings are good, for everyday use in rehearsals, the very thing!
good product
The product matches the description. It performs its function.
why not get them
decent quality and very cheap, brilliant for having them as spares aswell, they sound good...not amazing but i wasnt expecting them to be, pretty much every order i make from here i intend to put a set of the 10's and 11's because it really doesn't make a difference to my order and its good to have some reliable good sounding strings on hand that i can place in my guitar toolbox, my spare parts box, and any guitar cases so no matter what, these are there ready to save the day, id recommend anyone get a couple of each to try out and keep on hand.
Good and durable set of strings. Perfect for me as hobbyist and light recording environment.
VERY GOOD AFORDABLE STRINGS
They have an arright tone for the price. Perfect for a fresh backup set
Good to buy in bulk
I regularly buy HB strings in bulk because they are so much cheaper than any other brands. I use them on every instrument I own.
The main reason for getting these is obviously the price, and you know what, I feel like these are better quality strings than the price would suggest. I currently use these on all my guitars, and if you secretly replaced all the strings on them with different "big brand" strings, I wouldn't notice.
Now the one thing I noticed about these strings, and thats why I'm deducting a star from my feedback, is that when I put a fresh set of these on my guitars, they are sometimes sticky. Not sticky like jam, more like kinda plasticky. It does go away after about a day of playing though so it's not a big deal, but I still find it strange.
Tuning stability is good IF YOU STRETCH YOUR STRINGS PROPERLY.
Sound quality is also good, as I said earlier, I would not be able to tell these apart from other brands.
Overall, I recommend these strings.
Good!
The quality is good! Recommend for training
Not bad
Obviously not the best strings available, but probably the best you can get for this price. They're very comfortable to play so ideal for a beginner. Sound is actually quite good. They do feel quite flimsy, though, and I feel that the tuning stability isn't great, especially if you do a lot of string bending (the 10 gauge version of this product is slightly better). For that reason, I'd probably only recommend these for home use. Longevity is not as good as with certain brand names, so you'll be replacing these more often.
More Cheap Strings
Fine. No complaints at this price point.
Value for money
I own a rather large number of electric guitars so when it comes to strings it was always a bit of a financial headache. Those ones came as a solution for me since they maintain their brightness pretty much the same time as other brands and cost way less. I respect that everyone has their own taste on the subject however I believe those ones definitely worth the try since they do the job and to be fair is not expensive experimentation.
Guitar strings
This guitar strings are good enough for the beginner.
