Harley Benton Valuestrings EL 10-46 Reviews
not a good fit
unfortunately these did not work on my Gretsch as the holes on the ball end were not big enough to slide into the Bigsby bridge. I have used these in the past when i had a strat and they worked really well for me. so it was a bit of a shame i had to buy a more expensive set.
Cheap and cheerful!
Ok they ain't super slinkys but they stay in tune once stretched in (do need a good stretch I found) and do the job. They last reasonably well. At that price I use them on my practice guitars.
As good as any
Amazing value.sound good to gig.
Ok , but a bit dull sounding
These strings are ok , because they are super super cheap . Great if you have lots of guitars and you re string reasonably frequently. I have over 25 and if Iâve not played a couple in a while I just stick a fresh set of these on now and again .
I sound the same with these strings as I do with more expensive ones,so I’ll save money from now on by sticking to these
good strings
good value for the money.. I can't say anything bad about these strings
Buone corde, prezzo irrisorio
Buone corde per iniziare, muletti o prove, a questo prezzo direi ottime.
Spare packs
Cheaper than chips not cheap as chips ,its good to have a spare set hanging around, with these its no biggie.
Great Value
Great value for the price - work as strings should
Perfect for players like me who regularly break strings.
I'm sure there are possibly better sounding strings out there but, as a musician who really loves to dig in when playing live and consequently breaks a string almost every gig, these are a godsend. They sound fine and are incredibly good value. Less packaging would be nice though.
Break like the wind
Bought a bunch of sets and now think that I wasted my money. For reference I have a fairly vigorous picking style and after 3 or 4 gigs with a new set of strings I usually break the D or A string, which is the signal to put on a new set. I put on these Harley Benton strings before a gig and they sounded OK, but within a couple of hours playing both the top E and bottom E had broken. I cannot remember ever breaking two new strings in the same gig before or indeed the last time that I broke an E string. I do not have any confidence in these strings lasting long enough to be worth using.
They don't sound any brighter than the strings I've taken off
Ok for the price, if you have a lot of guitars.. but they don't sound any brighter or any different than the old strings they are replacing..
Excellent value
Incredible value, especially when bought in bulk.
Consistent quality.
Quality through quantity
For the price of one set of typical strings, you can get four sets of this. Replacing strings four times as often will allow you to have far better sounding strings on average than any advantages strings like Daddario or Ernie ball will have over those.
Not for me.
Bought for for replacement, during gig, not much use for me.
Value!
Unbelievable strings have been using harley bentons at every show the last 5 years or so.. at this value it allows a fresh set each gig!
Great for the price
I use these strings when I need to sell a guitar - as I use a heavier gauge than most people like. I will often set up a guitar with these strings, leave it for a few months and come back and they still sound fresh. For the price, there is nothing more I can say - they're better than other cheap strings.
