Harley Benton Valuestrings WE 12-53 Reviews
Decent strings for this price.
Pretty good acoustic strings, the sound is bright and pleasant. No regrets buying these.
Simply fantastic, very bright indeed
These work excellently, great feel, great tuning stability, good tension, they don't feel cheap and they don't play cheap, they are simply a very good string regardless of price.
I'll never use else now, it would be pointless.
Just buy them.
Probably the best acoustic strings I have used, good sound and long lasting. No complaints.
They are OK
Cheap strings, don't feel bad, but not as good as elixirs that I normally use. But hey, they work
Preisleistingsverhältnis ist super
Für den Preis sind die Saiten echt perfekt!
ALL OK!
Have you ever seen cheaper stuns? Personally, I don’t. These strings are more than enough to play and learn.
Better than you would expect
Considering the price, these strings are fantastic. In direct comparison to higher quality strings, however, they sound a bit harsh and i feel like the G-String is somewhat more prone to breaking than usual.
The best strings I have ever used
I am a full time gigging singer and guitarist and i have spent years trying to find the 'perfect' string. The upshot is, that doesn't exist. However, there are strings that are pure snake oil and strings that are ok for the price and others that are exceptional for the price. The latter is where these Harley Benton strings fit. I have a very percussive style so i will always break strings from any manufacturer. Experience has show me that and I don't mind breaking the odd string as I replace them all once a week anyway. Usually, all strings corrode badly (often after one gig) and they completely lose their tone. These strings do not corrode at all (despite being uncoated) and I truley don't know what they are made out of for them to be this way as any other 80/20 bronxe string for me corrodes and dies toanlly after just one gig. These don't. They stay in perfect condition and hold their tone long enough for me to re-string the following week. I recently tried a set of strings that cost over £20 from a leadining manufacturer. They last two gigs then corroded and I broke 2 on the 3rd gig. I have tried them all and nothing compares to these and considering they are the cheapest (buying in bulk of 24 makes these strings work out to 22p per string) I cannot get my head around it! Yes, I am a heavy percussive player but I didn't expect the cheapest to be the best. This is after 8 years of research.
hb strings
besser als erwartet und als notfallpack bestens geeignet
Use for Busking ( well I did before COVID)
USEFULL CHEAP ALTERNATIVE to over priced strings in general.
why not get them
decent quality and very cheap, brilliant for having them as spares aswell, they sound good...not amazing but i wasnt expecting them to be, pretty much every order i make from here i intend to put a set of the 10's and 11's because it really doesn't make a difference to my order and its good to have some reliable good sounding strings on hand that i can place in my guitar toolbox, my spare parts box, and any guitar cases so no matter what, these are there ready to save the day, id recommend anyone get a couple of each to try out and keep on hand.
Why pay more?
I have been using these strings for all my acoustic guitars for a few years now. And I will keep using them.
Now of course they do not sound as good or last as long as a pack of Ernie Balls or Elixirs. But the thing is, they cost literally about 10x less than a pack of Elixirs. And if I have to choose whether I get to have 1 pack of good strings or 10 packs of ok strings, the choice for me is obvious. As a musician I like always having spare strings and not having to worry when i break one.
If you are a musician with a budget, get these. Nobody but you will know or tell the difference.
Pros:
Price
Sound decent
Cons:
Not as good as more expensive strings
Very good strings!
These strings are great, i use them on my yamaha acoustic and the sound just as good as the more expensive strings i have used, they actualy sound better since you can change them ofter to always have a fresh clean sound. I ordered 5 packs and it costs less than one pack of "premium" strings i also tried the electric strings and they are also great.
Well worth the money
For a cost effective alternative for home practicing and rehearsing these make perfect sense. I usually use D'Addario but these sound as good on initial playing. Long term I can't comment on tone or longevity as yet but even if they last 2 weeks, for the money they make perfect sense
for the price you can't beat them
Use them on most of my guitars now. Even gig with them. For the price 5 stars. Packaging plastic is annoying and not easy to open but that is small potatoes.
Exceptional for practicing.
Cheap and great value. I've been using them for practicing for a while and I am very happy with them.
Harley Benton Valuestrings WE 12-53
The Harley Benton Valuestrings WE 12-53is the only String Set for Steel-string Guitars in my opinion.
You cannot justify paying big money for strings at small priced gigs. profit margin gets reduced very quickly.
I say this with quality in mind. If these strings were rubbish i wouldn't buy them. Instead i buy in bulk!
BEST STRING OUT THERE!
Feels cheap
Feels cheap, I now use Daddario EJ16's and couldn't be happier.
Very cheap acoustic set
You'd be surprised at how cheap strings can be :D
Surprisingly Good
In terms of tone and playability, these strings are as good as most of the big names (with the exception of a certain brand from Farmingdale which, in my opinion, is unbeatable) . I'm principally an electric guitar player, so my acoustics don't get much abuse, however longevity has been surprisingly good for a budget product. I bought quite a few of these in the expectation of having to change them more often, but as it turned out I haven't needed to do this.
