Harley Benton Valuestrings Bass 45-105 5-stars Reviews
Just great
Ive been using these strings for a while now and i am very pleased. Sound is excellent and they sound "fresh" for a long time. For the price unbeatable .
Excellent strings, feel like Slinkys to me.
These work excellently, great feel, great tuning stability, good tension, they don't feel cheap and they don't play cheap, they are simply a very good string regardless of price.
.... To spend more would be pointless.
Bass Strings solution
If you’re looking for a balance of value and quality lime I was these strings are perfect. Keep their tune well and go on easy. I use these on all my bass guitars because they are perfectly suitable for use in a gigging band. Great value and very happy with the performance of these strings!
Awesome strings for cheap
Extremely surprised with the strings quality.
changed my bass!
I got a harley benton bass which sounded meh, but then I changed the strings and the bass just got another life to it
Excellent value for money strings.
They punch well above there weight.👍
surprised
ordered these to make up an order,if like me you can kill a set of strings in one gig ,then these are the strings for you.
they sound bright and last on average a couple of gigs for me, which means at this price i can change strings every other gig, with out it costing me a fortune, get some you wont be dissapointed, for live work this is all you need.
I strongly recommend these strings
As many have written, at the beginning there may not be quite pleasant sensations for the fingers, but a couple of hours and everything falls into place. They sound no worse than D'Addario, and cost 4 times less. For concerts of Elixirs, for the Studio DR HI Beam, for the soul and at home-HB:)
Great sound for a great price
Great sound for a great price , I'm not a professional musician , so I'm sure a professional musician may think other wise ..sounds good to me and I'll be buying more
Vfm
just that, value for money
Better than I originally thought!
I've decided to re-write my review (and increase my rating), because some of my earlier criticisms were perhaps unjustified.
I'd pointed out excessive fret noise/ buzzing, however it turned out there was an issue with the bass I put them on! Once this was rectified, fret noise was minimal.
I also felt that they were a bit rough on the fingers. However, having played D'Addarios almost exclusively for over 35 years, I admit I was foolish to expect otherwise!
As an experiment, I decided to compare them with the cheapest strings on eBay & Amazon, and I can say without hesitation that the Harley Bentons are far superior.
After playing these strings for some time (and having the bass fixed!), my fingers are now accustomed to the different feel & they're actually not bad at all. I'll definitely be buying more.
Exactly without discrepancy
I was very pleasantly surprised. These are nickel and there is a good difference between these and other nickel strings, they seem to last reasonably well too. I use these on Harley Benton PB-20 SBK Standard Series. Great for punkrock, for "old school" stoner, acid rock etc. The sound is clear, "elastic" bottom, good middle, top without much ringing, but there is no lack of high frequencies. I use these strings first time as i was concerned about something cheaper.
Damn excellent value for money.
great for practising
great price shame about the delivery charge but in the future i will buy a larger order to make it worth while
Grea for the money
I'm new to setting up my bass, and bought these strings as i was concerned about messing things up.
Excellent value for money, not sure who makes them or where they are made but for me they are great and I have heard more experienced players compare them to d'addarios.
have you looked at the price? have you ordered 10 sets? no? why?what are your excuses?
here are some cheap strings! don't say that the strings are expensive , you don't have any money. buy 20 sets and change them every 3 months.
the hi pitch ringing went off after 8 hours of playing. I use them for a month at this moment (about 50 hours). My hands are sweating profusely. I try wash them more often, and wipe the strings all the time to extend their life.
they won't live more than 100 hours (thats too many? maybe 70-80 in my hands). for that kind of money, not changing them every month or two is disrespectful to your bandmates, and just not very wise)
Cool!
Coll string with low price! Very pure tone and normal sound with distortion and clean!
Great value
By a country mile the cheapest strings I found anywhere. They're good enough, to be honest I've only limited experience with bass strings so far but they feel ok to me
Solid performing bass strings
Considering the price, these are winners. These medium sized strings sound full, stay in tune, do not break. They brought the much needed oomph to my weary Mex P-Bass. Also as a set, they are in balance -- so that, for example, the E string does not sound way too loud compared to the A string.
The are the choice for my three (soon four) basses. End of.
Nice
Good price, good sound and and reasonable price
Cheap for often restringing type of people
I'm the type of player that sweats a lot. That being said, any strings I use (except Elixir coated style, which I don't really enjoy) are dying on me very fast. For 4.90 € per set, I'm able to buy in bulk and change them anytime I want. Great value!
