Great value

These are not the best strings i have ever used. They lose that fresh sound in few weeks. They sound ok, but not great. They hold tune like any other, no problem there. All in all, pretty... meh.

The selling point for these strings is their price. Extremely high value for money ratio. If you need strings to hold in your gigbag just in case you need it in the middle of the gig, get a set, you won't regret it.

If you need a set of strings and you are a beginner, go for it 100%, you won't hear the difference (for a while, until your ears train them selves a bit).

Over all, 6/10. For this price, 11/10.

Initally had quite high tension but they settled down.

They don't have as much winding as more expensive strings but they are definitely great value for money. You won't get bass strings for cheaper. I always used to use 40 euro branded strings, even for bar gigs where I would just be buried in the mix. These are great value for money for day to day use, I will save the expensive ones for the studio from now on.

Clear sound, good longevity

I own quite a lot of basses which were in need of some new strings, as we all know, there are so many different kinds, and most of them are quite expensive.

So, I just decided to take a risk and to order some of these HB strings, and I haven't regretted it since!

They sound nice and clear, the string tension is very comfortable, and to my own surprise, they last for quite some time. All the basses I use for practice at home are know fitted with these strings. And for the money, you can change them quite often.

Great value!

It did not take long to order these strings for my bass guitar. The minute i saw the price i could not believe in my eyes. I change regurarly strings as i am a working musician, that means two sets per month that results in 50 euro / month. The quality is not just as great as an expensive set of let's say ernie ball and the surface of the strongs are a little harsh but you can get used to it really fast. I had no problem so far with strings breaking or unwinding and that is a good thing. All and all you can buy a a lot of packages and change regural strings to make your bass return to life. There is no excuse anymore saying you prefer the middy tone of old strings!!

Clear and punchy

These strings sound great, and last ages.

They have a fairly bright tone, which I like; it makes the bass sound quite `punchy', great for funk or rock.

I bought several packs and am glad I did.

The only problem is that I've now got a 6-string bass, but there's no 6-string set of these!

Good quality

I bought this for my new bass at the time and they're really good, easy to change. Nice sound produced from them, can't find anything wrong with them.

I've recommended them to people I know.

Very good price-quality ratio

I bought these for my HB P-bass diy kit and I´m very impressed. These strings do the job they are meant to do and are a steal considering the price. We´ll see how they perform in the long run but either way you can get a few of these sets with the price of one more expensive set.

Budget price - but not budget tone

Bass strings are quite expensive and so often I will wait longer than I should before replacing them, however I recently spotted these and decided to add a packet alongside my other items to see if they were any good. They are packaged in the typical heady duty plastic bag and each string is individually packaged in a sealed plastic bag. Unlike other similarly priced strings I have bought, these have the ends wrapped in silk (in this case orange coloured).

I was not expecting much from them given the price but I was pleasantly surprised. I would say about 90% of the tone of the ?big? brands is there. Will need to wait longer to see about their longevity, but they have not immediately died after 3 or 4 sessions ? So far so good. Worth adding a packet to your order, it could end up saving you a lot of money!

good value

Cant beat them on price, cheapest strings available. they sound good considering the price but they don't compare to more expensive strings. I keep a few of them in my gig bag in case I break a string.

Unbelievably good strings for the money.

I've got a couple of basses now and I've been experimenting with different strings and these babies are great. Not too bright sounding, pretty long lasting, it's amazing what you can get when you are not paying for a brand. You will get better strings but not much better and you'll pay a lot more.

Awesome

These strings are great they sound bright and are fairly comfy on the fingers very good value the only thing I did not like were the silk end windings but that is just a personal thing I will buy these again :) Fantastic these last longer than I thought they would and sound good how can they make these for such a great price :)

Decent strings

there Cheap but theres nothing wrong with them as good as makes which were costing me 10x more. they have standard gauges of string and they last a long time and don't go grubby easily like other strings i have used in the past , there nice and i use the strings on all my basses and have a few sets in the bass bags incase of an emergency. Its only brand snobs who will have a problem with these strings and my suggestion for them would be to keep a box of high brand strings in there case to show off to there mates and stick these ones on the actual bass :P.Just stick them in your basket !!

Great Value

I always like to have fresh, bright strings that are full of life. I've found that these strings last just as long as most brands, but are so cheap that you can justify changing them regularly. Great sound and great response. In the UK brands like Ernie Ball slinkys or D'addarios cost 16 GBP upwards.

Great budget strings

Took a chance on these as strings to take on tours and replace after every gig. They turned out being great, got a couple of sweaty gigs out of each set. Good zing and pop from them.

Would definitely buy more in the future. Excellent value for the price.

A no brainer

The only strings I buy from now on. Super low price for alot of strings, good sounding, long lasting tone and superb intonation and tuning. These strings allow you to restring your bass for every band practice.

how do thet do it?

I recently bought a bunch of HB guitar strings as I had bought a couple of cheap guitars and was doing them up to sell, and wanted some cheapo strings and was blown away for the quality for the money of HB strings ..and these are the same. I have a fender precision and don't often change strings theyre too expensive and dont break or wear out so why bother

but at four quid a pack these are a great deal. I cant see any difference in quality to any twelve quid packet.
