Tank like, without the weight

I hate x frame stands. That might be to do with when I was born etc, but they just make me think of the worst kind of synth pop.

For the money, this is perfect. simple, strong, easy enough to tweak - but I wouldn't necessarily want to be using it for gigging. More for home/studio permanent set up. It hasn't moved in months and i think it will probably outlast me. Highly recommended.

Nice solid stand

This is a very solid, very well-machined stand. If the dimensions are right for your keyboard, it's a far better bet than an X-style stand: it doesn't bounce, it's rock solid, and you can get your legs under it to reach the sustain pedal. It's moderately adjustable for height and the span of the supporting arms, and ideally suited to a 5-octave keyboard, though it will handle 76- or 88-notes pretty happily too. For the money, this is excellent value.
