Very pleased with these.

I've been genuinely pleased with the two of these I bought mostly to use as speaker stands for the tbox achat small PA. However, they have also found use as standard microphone stands. In fact, due to their very compact size, I tend to keep a couple in the boot of the car for emergencies! They are nicely balanced and the base is a good weight to keep them steady. The small "footprint" is ideal for stages where space is at a premium. I've found the parts to be very robust - the telescopic mechanism is often the part to go with microphone stands and this hasn't happened here despite considerable use Very happy with these stands.

Good straight up & down stand

Thought i'd take a risk and buy this K&M stand instead of spending a lot more on a dearer one and I'm glad I did. It's got a great weighted base, but not so heavy that I can't move it about on stage. It has never toppled over. The threads are still going strong even though I frequently change what mic I use with it. The height adjustment function is still tight too so, no shrinking mic heights during a performance.

I highly recommend this stand.

Great mic stand

What can i say K&M offer great well built products and this is no exception. high quality finish unlike other mic stand i have got in the same price range. This is built to last, the base is very heavy which I like as its gets knocked around quit alot. If there was one downside to the stand is that it didnt come with a mic clip, i know that this is not such a big deal but it would have been nice to use right out of the box. The stand extends to a great distance and the locking mec. works well, this is very important and I have had issues with stands of the same value in the past but not with this one 10/10

Retro Stand Is So Stable

This stand has the retro look you don't get with a boom stand. I use it to hold an Elvis mic with a goose neck attachment for a little flexibility.

I was amazed to see just how stable this mic stand is. The base is lighter and of smaller diameter than my previous straight solid bass mic stand making this one a lot easier to transport to and from gigs. Also, you don't kick against it so much either. However, it is just as stable as my old one.

It can also hold a 3kg speaker.

It's also easy to handle - one adjustment nut in the middle for the height. Also, there's a handy clip to keep the lead tidy against the it.

Solid as a rock

K&M stands are always great, and this is no exception. Still in great shape 4 years later also. Solid - base is heavy and has foam to protect the floor. Tightening and untightening is for height adjustment easy and reliable.

Good for the first mike pole

It does the job. However the way the pole's height is set could be a little better. Trying to loosen the handle that allows setting the height loosen the whole pole from the foot. You need to use your two hands. No practical if you have an instrument to handle at the same time.

Good quality anyway. I recommand if you just need it at home or in your repetion room.

Good for singers, but..

It's a really good stand for singer or guitarists/bassists which haven't a big pedalboard before their feet. The quality is typical K&M, its awesome. In comparison to some of the Millenium stands I've tested before it is a blessing: no wiggle, no loose screws and no bad feelings on the stage. I'm sure that the K&M will survive many tours and gigs (in those days i used cheaper stands I broke 1 or 2 a year).

The reason why I sent it back is the space problem in front of my feet. I'm a bassist with some effects (overdrive, compressor, tuner, phaser, sometimes a chorus) and because of the round base of the stand I have not enough place to use my pedal board.

Nevertheless: I recommend this product!

Basic but sturdy!

This is a good if basic mic stand. It has a very small footprint which is great in tight spaces and when recording drums. It is also very stable with a good, low centre of gravity. A handy addition to the stage or studio.

Stable and flexible

This microphone stand by K & M with a round stand is a very stable one and as well flexibel when acting on the stage. The weight of the stand is quite heavy so that is stays very stable on the floor and even swings back into standing position when bending it to which direction ever.

The height adjustment works easy only by pressing the release of the stand and then you are able to adjust the height. So it can be quickly pushed together for tranport or storing.

All in all I can recommend it to every singer who wants to be acting on the stage.

Hard wearing, long lasting.

This is my second one of these. My last one was gigged for years, and was well able for the hardship. Only reason I'm on to my second one is because i lost my last at a venue, and it was cheaper to buy another than to get the last one back! Love it

For singers

If you are a singer, you should get one of these! For non-guitarplaying singers boom stands always look a bit awkward. It is a really heavy stand and built to last. It comes with 5 years warranty, but you won't need it.

Good stand

The foot could have been a bit heavier for stability.

Cool stand

Bought 2 of these as overhead mic stands for recording, primarily because of the heavy bass to act as a counterweight for heavy mics. works great along with a nice long boom arm, can get pretty high and low enough to use for kick/snare etc. at the moment im using it for a vocal mic and its perfect.

Industry Standard

These are the industry standard straight mic stand. The base is just the right weight for stability and, if your singer wants, to lift. They also look the part with clean lines.

Wouldn't buy again

Good to have a weighted base, but this is very unstable on carpet.

On wood floor it's good, but my room is carpeted and uneven, and with a SE Reflexion filter and heavy mic, it's very unstable.

Still, much better than quiklok.
