Good enough

These stands are good for the price and seem well enough constructed. For smaller dynamic and small condenser mics the work just fine. However, heavier large diaphragm mics might not be so well supported on these stands especially if you looking to place them in a long reach position.

Personally I'll be looking for a couple of heavier duty stands for particular mics that need it, but these, like I say are very good for general use.

Not quite 'Pro' but not far off...

Sturdy stand if nothing overly heavy placed on it (at full extension up and out at 90 degrees will just about hold a 58 without feeling wobbly - I wouldn't fancy having anything too heavy on it.

For general mic use, perfect. Sleek, mechanisms and threads all seem to be lasting well, and don't seem to mark or damage too easily either.

Great mic stand simply the best you can get as its lightweight, easy to use, simple to set up and robust. K&M are my choise of mic stands everywhere we travel to play

Good sturdy stand

Great stand, holds my slightly heavier condenser mic at full extension without feeling unstable. Large diaphragm condenser need to be shortened a bit but it's still easy to work with. Only criticism is that the boom clamp allows the boom to wiggle a bit so you sometimes feel like it's not secure, although in reality it is.

Excellent microphone stand! A++

I've been these K&M stands for a while now and they are simply excellent! Highly recommend for stability and quality of build. I won't buy any other make for microphone stands ever again.

Brilliant stand for the price.

Not the cheapest stand available but excellent value and a really solid product compared to the very cheap ones. If I ever need more microphone stands this is the one I would buy, perfect balance of price and quality.

Not great for a heavy load

The basic design is the same as the rest of their Microphone Stands which is a great design.

However the 'fibreglass reinforced plastic base' lets it down considerably. I can't get enough tension from the base locking screw for it to hold the upright shaft without slipping therefore all three legs plus the shaft are touching the floor so it isn't as stable as it could be.

That being said I am using it for the K&M metal music stands tops which are reasonably heavy, so if you only have a light item for it to hold like a condenser microphone or maybe an iPad holder, then it will do the job just fine.

Worth the extra few quid!

I'm often very uncomfortable putting an expensive Neumann mic on a budget mic stand as they are not always the most reliable or stable. I particularly like the build of this K&M model. All the fittings are that bit more sturdy and stable than the cheaper models. I'm really beginning to appreciate that as I work with clients - it's a bad scene when mic stands slip or act unreliably. Thumbs up for this model!

Same Story

I Gig and sound engineer alot and these stands get the most use out of all the equipment. Used every weekend on multiple occasions.

As always with K&M i expect quality and am usually willing to pay for that quality. On this occasion I went for their cheaper option of mic stand. At the price these stands are they are incredible. Solid base and all the components are of a very high standard.

The added availability of spare parts for these stands over the coming years is worth the little extra compared to their lesser counterparts.

I would advise anyone looking for a mic stand to last to choose K&M everytime.

Quality K&M Stand

This is a well built black stand, it is sturdy. I use it upright for micing brass instruments and also horizontally for micing the vocalists at a keyboard. The boom adjustment screw can be difficult to get enough torque to keep a fully extended boom and heavy mic from dropping but I have always found a sturdy position after a bit of effort. I would recommend this stand.

Fantastic Stand

I can't get over the quality of the materials used here. The legs are stiff and sturdy, and when they are opened out it is almost impossible to wobble the stand. The joint on the boom arm is padded on both sides and when tightened it stays in a fixed position.

For ¤26 I am quite confident I've got a mic-stand that will last me for life.

Very solid and reliable

The K&M 27105 Mic stand is one of the solid and reliable stand in this price range I have ever used. Since 5 month I use four of of this stands with the Sennheiser EW 100 935 G 3 / E Band. It doesn't drag down, there is nothing wiggle, it is simply made and easy to use. The weight of 3,2 kg is a little bit high (with four of them in one bag) but it's ok.

Blows others out of the water

Use:

I use this stand for both vocals and for recording frums and as a stand for overhead mics.

The stand is extremely solid and all the joints and bolts are well braced especially the legs.

The cheaper millenium stands broke within a few months this K & M stand is going strong for the guts of a year now and will keep doing so for many more to come.

100% recommendation for this stand, it's brilliant quality and at a great price.

Great Quality

As most of the K&M stuff is, this is a great stand, not much more that needs to be said.

If you want good stands that will last, these are the ones for you

The best in the business

The K&M microphone stand is an industry standard for a reason. It handles live situations well and when used properly it lasts for years or even decades. All the joints and screws and hinges work perfectly and are snug so it is easy to set this stand perfect for you. When compared to the cheaper alternatives you really see what you are paying for. All the moving parts are really sturdy and there is no cheap plastic where you need strength and stability. As long as you loose the screws and hinges before tilting you can use this stand for eternity. Simply the best in business.

Microphone Stand Review

This microphone stand is very stable and does handle well. The only issues I would have is how the mechanics hold. You need to tighten these fairly hard in order for the boom arm to hold its position when fully extended. Otherwise, this well worth its value.

Very easy to unpack

I need just a few seconds to unpack this stand which is great. The only thing that I find impractical is the little handle bolt which is used to tight the boom. Sometimes if it is not clenched properly it looses and that can be a little bit distracting while performing. And also it would be great if it would come with its own bag in order to stay unscratched and pretty.
