Mic Stand
I needed a couple of mic stands quickly for a recording I was doing. I didn't want to spend a fortune on top end stands as I don't use them enough.
K&M are a good make and the stands are of a good quality for the general user. If you were going to be putting them up and down and using them constantly for gigs then these would not be the best choice as I do not think they would take it. The plastic parts of the stands and fittings would not last.
The stands are light weight and worked well for my requirements. If I needed more would definitely buy them again
Good mic stand, but a little light to be very stable
If you want a lightweight stand to carry at your gigs, then this stand is great!!..However if you need a good strong stand to not fall over/ blow over, or to attach gadgets onto (cup holders, tambourine holders etc) then go for the non-aluminium model. It is lightweight aluminium, so not as strong if you are a full time musician..or a rock band jumping about!!...also could get damaged in transit if acrried with other heavy stands. Also, I always buy a stand with adjustable boom arm (always K&M!!) as the longer boom arm can get knocked by people passing in smaller gigs when it is long. The adjustable boom can be made nice and short and tuck in. Good for spare mic stand, and nice and light so you dont notice it is there in the bag, which is why I bought it!
K and M mic stand
Pretty sturdy reliable stand. Good height so you can use them for O/H's not just vocals.
Sturdy and worth the money
What can I say about a mic stand? Unless your using them gigging a lot like I am you might be thinking they're all the same but they're not! These stands are built to last and will take the abuse any gig or the back of a van can throw at them! I have taken them up and down hundreds of times and they work perfectly every time and they don't start to drop when singing which can be a problem with cheaper models and work well with both vocal mics and instruments (drums of amps) and with the boom they are versatile enough to bend into any corner, Overall I'd recommend highly!
K&M 27105
K & M 27105.
What I will say is they are an excellent brand. Very good stuff.. Light and usefull stand. It light to use it would get if used occasionally in a home studio where it would tend to be set up and left for long periods. All parts are individually replaceable and interchangeable (by and large) across the range.. if you want to replace a long boom with a short one, or a telescopic one, and so on.
I will rate this stand on 5 stars on all positions. Because I like this K & M stand and I think its not very expensive stuff for hight professional quality.
Stand you can trust
After few months of usage I would like to give some feedback on the 27105 stand. I bought a pair of them to use mainly for overhead drum microphones. Those stands are great quality for the money. Assembly/disassembly is flawless, easy and quick. Parts are well matched, the microphone holder thread is perfectly compatible with holder threads of other suppliers.
No afraid of stability on the stage in extreme end high position, stand itself does not shake too much the microphone. It's a very versatile product, and it is build for long time service. I would like to have at least one more eyelet to catch the cable, but you can always buy them separately.
A mic stand that does what a mic stand should.... FINALLY!
Always been a fan of K&M products and this mic stand is no different. Not ridiculously priced and does exactly what it should.
The threads and tensions seem to hold for so much longer than other stands in this price range.
Really sturdy, great build quality. Have about a dozen of these now and wouldn't buy anything else. Use them in the studio and live.
Didn't fall apart!
Using a few of these for about six months, and not only did they not fall apart the minute somebody looked at them, but no performer has managed to break one yet! Solid quality and construction, will be ordering more...
Good value, although central nut hard to turn
For the price, this is a good value for money mic stand. I haven´t had to perform repairs on it as with practically every other mic stand I´ve owned within this price range. My only criticism is that the central nut which keeps the arm at its angle is somewhat stiff. Once you do turn it, it does a good job of keeping the arm still, and I´ve used it when home recording attached to a Røde NT-1, but it´s usual job is holding up my SM58 at solo acoustic guitar/voice gigs. The stand is to my right at a 90 degree angle holding the 58, and it stays up for a full 3 hour gig.
I have also used it at hundreds of rock gigs it´s not broken on me yet!
Very nice stand
Good weight to this stand making it very stable for my heavy condenser microphone. Nice thick powder coated finish should withstand the rigours of studio and stage work.
Decent for the money
I wanted a fairly lightweight stand to use to hold an overhead drum mic on gigs and this seemed to fit the bill. It's good quality, lightweight, and very stable. It is not infinitely adjustable but I didn't need it to be. For my purposes it is perfect. However, be warned: it will not support mics heavier than an SM57 or so without the joint starting to struggle a bit.
Stand out!
They should really send out these stands in a tin, and then write on the tin "Sturdy and keeps your microphone where you want it" Then I could just write " Does what it says on the tin"
K&M 27105 mic stand
Was suprised by the quality of the stand at this price range. Perfect for rehearsal and gigging. Pretty stable and fits in small space when you pack it for travelling in gigvan.
very affordable stand
I've bought this boom stand to mic my Grand piano. Quality product in nice matt finish, without hefty price tag. Not very portable, but nice for studio and home use.
Stand, Stand
Are you looking for something to stick your microphone into that won't fall apart a week later or have you chasing it with your mouth as you are singing, well put this in your basket, great quality mic stand!
excellent!
Excellent stand. All parts on this thing is replaceable and interchangeable which is an added bonus. This stand is obviously aimed for home studio use instead of heavy duty use , however this stand is inexpensive one that contains professional features. It seems like they can stand up to some abuse as well. It is functional, easy to use, realiable and durable enough. Great buy for the money.Recommended!
Good quality, flexible stand.
The stands are good, sturdy and well built. Obviously it would be nice to have a screw on boom to allow this to be used as a straight stand as well however these are available.
It's a good stand!
Feels much nicer that my random cheap mic stand that I've been using exclusively up until now. It holds in place really well once you've got it set up, and it really does feel good quality. You can also buy replacement parts for it which is a useful option.

Für den Preis zufriedenstellend!
Very reliable and well made, ideal for frequent use.
Having gone through a huge number of lesser mic stands thanks to lively and busy nightly concerts, our venue were on the lookout for much more durable options (without going to crazy prices, as the best stand in the world won't resist a 15 stone crowd surfer).
An engineer friend from across town spoke highly of these and rightly so. They are in as good condition now as they were when purchased and should we need more stands, our days of cutting corners are open. Whilst these cost fractionally more in the moment, they more than justify it through ease of use and relaibility.
