must have gadget for synth freaks

If you are into synths and other devices with midi connectivity, this is must have device. It is easy to setup. Before buying think twice about your habits and future plans, cause maybe version with 12 thru is better choice, cause with all this affordable products like Korg Volca's and Behringer devices maybe you will soon need more midi slots....

Problem solver

I bought it a couple of weeks ago. Since then, it is my main bedroom studio gadget. Liked the build quality and it does the job.

Compact and solid box. No problem so far. Definitely recommended.

I'm using the Kenton to split the midi from Digitakt to external synths.

simple and reliable

using this to split MIDI from a keyboard controller to several computers and external synths. Does exactly what it should. Has been in constant use for several years without a problem. Recommend!

because synth developers never implement a THRU.

I hate buying devices like this, it's an extra step in the chain and another wall wart in my bag.

But it does exactly what i want it to do and it does it well.

Works great

Plug and play, no issues so far, works great.

Build quality could be better I suppose, the panels give way and creak a little bit when pressure is applied like when I hold it to plug in a cable.

Good product but not feature rich

No CC filter but it is built well. Should last a lifetime

Becouse my MIDI keyboard don?t send energy (chck If yours do, before buying passive ones)I bought this active distributor. Made of metal, good finish, and don?t take much space at all. It works and u forget about it. Now I can use my MIDI keyboard to play more then one synth at the same time.

Does the job just fine

The finishing is a bit scratchy in the edges, other than that, all is good and midi is fast and flawless.

does what it should do

It is a great MIDI Thru box, sturdy and gets the job done easily. No issues here. It is small and easy to hide away somewhere in your studio.

It does what it should do

I use it to sync some analog stuff and it works like a charm, so I recommend it to those who need stuff like that.

solid and does what it says

this unit is pretty damn decent. FYI it's pretty lightweight, despite its solid construction, so the cables end up pulling it off the table etc, but other than that, you can't go wrong with this thing.

I have experienced 0 jitters or latency problems etc.

Does what it says on the tin

Works perfectly and allows me to hook up all my MIDI devices with no fuss.

Built solidly, I can see this lasting for years.

Solid Unit from Kenton

Compact but robust Midi distributor from Kenton; I use it live to distribute Midi clock from ER-M unit and it works really well.

Good bits - reliable and well constructed

Bad bits - uses a socket in my stage plug board - why no usb power option? Drops a features star for that alone

Could not be easier

Plugged in my MIDI, set the channels and totally forgot about the unit - so easy to set up - feels very solid. I have it taped to the back of my synth desk where it will be forgotten about (in a good way). Very happy with the unit.

Great, simple, sturdy, small

As title says. Its smaller then expected, but works perfect. 1xIn 5xOut. I used to have a midi thru that had to rely on my laptop to work. Now with this one it just works great via regular power socket. Build quality seems sturdy, nice and small. Had zero issues with it since ordering it some months ago. One potential criticism, but I know this when I bought it: My previous box had 2xIN, which means now I have to switch cables when I switch between the two midi controllers that I use sometimes. But as said, I knew that when I ordered this one. Would recommend.
