M-Audio EX-P Expression Pedal Reviews

Works like a charm

Inexpensive but does the trick, I've used with a novation x-station to control the filter and as a expression pedal with my M-audio Axiom. Super easy to setup (basically just plug it. It probably isn't the most sturdy or durable pedal if taking on the road, but mine stays in the studio and there I couldn't ask for more.

Does what promises for a cheap price

I got this particular pedal in the understanding that it should be quite universal (unlike many others). And simply enough, with one switch (and a trim pot), I have got it to work with all devices so far.

The size is to my liking as well, compact but big enough to be practical. The build quality seems ok or a bit wobbly, but then again it was about 40?, so..

You get what you pay for

Its cheap and it works, but if you are going to be gigging don't expect this one to stand up to it. Mine was OK for about a year then developed faults at one end of the scale.

There's just too much cheap plastic and cheap components inside - but then again, what do you expect for the price? If you are using this in a home studio setting and you are a careful person, probably it will be OK.

I'm now getting a more professional unit from Source Audio.

Good lightweight pedal

Does the job perfectly. The plasticy case is maybe a little light for touring use where something more rugged would serve better, but for studio use it's absolutely fine. The treadle plate has a good non slip surface and it doesn't tend to slide about on the floor much either

Does exactly what it says

I have two of these. They are used for sound control and organ volume with my Nord Stage keyboard. They work exactly as expected, the travel is good, and the quality seems to be without problem.

Simple and effective

Robust enough for studio use, but I probably wouldn't take it on year-long world tour. Has two adjustables: a switch on the bottom (floor-facing) surface with M-Audio/other as options, both work as expected; and a rotary knob for setting minimum level.
