Cheap kick drum mic stand

This is a very low cost kick drum mic stand. I ordered this as part of a set with the T.bone BD 300, it is cheaper to get these together than seperately. There isn't alot to say about this stand other than for the money is good value. It comes on 2 parts, the bass unit and the upright. I found the threads on the Bass unit were not cut very well and the two parts didn't screw together as easily as expected, though once in place they were stable. I wont be disassembling anyway. You can also screw a microphone boom onto the end of the shaft as well for placing the kick mic a little closer to the beater. This would also double up as a guitar cabinet mic stand. All in all this is a pretty handy little stand for ery little money.

Solid Bass Drum Mic Holder

A very reasonably priced and important piece of kit.

I got fed up with my bass drum mic stand being kicked in the midst of gigs by the guitarist in the band. This little beauty is a good replacement for those small boom arm stands. I can place it just out side the bass drum port or (usually) inside. The rubber feet make sure it doesn?t move.

The only minor niggle is the thread near the top of the unit where the mic holder fits sometimes feels loose (easily fixed though)

Nice small stand that does the trick and it's nice to have it at least as a spare part in case something goes wrong, however, be careful as it may not bring your microphone to the bass drum as close as you would want.

But, as I said, for this price, you can't go wrong if you need some compact mic stand.

Excellent low mass mic stand!

What a great little stand! No tripod legs to mess about with.. Just a solid, surprising weighty, low mass stand that you can place in front of your bass drum and not have to worry about tripping over it.

It's compact size means it's great for when packing up too. Just throw it in your hardware case and forget about it! It could also be used as a desktop mic stand too. Great value.

Very reliable and sturdy interior Bass drum mic stand

Great bass drum mic sand for putting into the actual drum. Solid weight and always reliable. The size also means it will fit in any bass drum with a port hole, and once the top stand is unscrewed, it can be carried in any size bag.

Three shows a weekend for two hours for three years atests to it doing the job intended. Nice for studio work too, as it captures the full sound and tone of the drum.

Never used it for anything else but could be handy for many uses, both live and in studio. Not always standard to place the mic in the bass drum, I know, but definitely makes a difference on tiny stages.

Does the Job!

I've had this a good while now, using it regularly to mic up cabs and kick drums.

The design of the stand means it is never going to be very good for most applications. Its flexibility is minimal, but that is expected. This stand does exactly what it's supposed to as well as it's possible.

For kicks it is perfect, for amps it works well in a pinch, and I imagine it would be perfectly usable as a desktop stand for podcasting or similar.

Not bad, not great

Very cheap stand, came as part of a kit. Welded joins were rough and several parts worked loose. Recommend spending a bit more money and getting a better stand.

Bd100 stand

I use this one for micing my bass enclousure, not for kick drum. I use 4x10 cabinet for bass , and this little thing is great for that. It's sturdy and reliable and i use it 2 gigs a week for lastr 2 years. Heigh and weight of my cab is great for this stand, and when i place the microphone in front of the speaker it's on the spot where it should be. Its quite small, so it doesn't take much space on the stage. For the price, it's the best choice.

a little disappointing

This thing is very simple but it's poorly built. It unscrews easy, too easy to be reliable enough. It also too small for fitting in any bass drum hole, you'll probably need a standard mic boom anyway. It's stable though but the built makes it very unfinished. It's cheap but you get what you pay for,

Good stand but you might need to adjust your kick drumhead

The stand is heavy and stable, and the vertical arm can be extended form 15 to 23 cm approx, yet I found the grip swivel kind of difficult to adjust, as I felt I had to force it too much compared to a regular mic stand, for example. You'll still find a way to fit your kick mic in the hole of the resonant head, and though its maneuverability might be reduced, the stand will do the job. You can also use this stand to mic the bottom head of your snare, just be careful not to kick it. The finishing of the stand is also not the best, but for the price is more than ok.

Drummer proof mic stand.

We use it for the kick drum mic, is height adjustable and small which prevents our singer falling over it. Strong enough to not care if he did.

Comes apart, the parts are small enough to go in the mics box, rather in with the tripods stands.

Millenium BD100

Excellent inexpensive kick drum mic stand. We use it for miking the bass drum and it is fine for that. The long leg fits under the bass drum and so it doesn?t stick out in front of the drum ? which in our band would mean it would get kicked!

The mic height is adjustable via a round plastic gripper on the upright bit. The upright part of the stand unscrews from the base which means it can be folded flat to put in a case. I wasn?t sure about how this worked when I ordered it but it?s worked out fine and it?s easy to assemble and pack up.

Sturdily made and should survive regular gigging.

The millennium BD 100 Kickstand is ok for what it is, I got it with a Shure beta 52, so it was a good deal, would've liked an arm though, so you can get the mic more on the inside of the kick drum.

But works good on the outside, if you use 2 kick miss.

It works!

Admittedly, it took a bit of time for me to work out the screw on and height adjustment for this, but every function of it does its job. definitely sturdy enough! Surprisingly heavy for what it is, which is a good thing really.

Kick Mic Stand

Perfectly adequate. Nice heavy construction that'll keep the mic where you want it with no risk of falling over, etc. Can be raised up and down a small amount as well.

Good value

Bought 5 of these for the pa system for the band. Used to Mic up kick drum and guitar amps for gigging . Heavily made so very sturdy. Easy to assemble and enough extension for amps that are floor based. Comes with two options of Mic connector. Great value. Don't need to spend money on more expensive stands....these do the job for us
