mega bargain DI

I bought this as a back up for my active DI's. I had tried a few passive di boxes in the past and always ended up going back to my more upmarket ones. I thought this might make a handy backup but it has had a lot more use than I expected as it sounds great.

Since buying it I've used it for bass and keyboards and it took both just fine with no issues. We've used them in the studio for some recording and for a lot of gigs - the sound coming out is exactly what you expect and has helped to cure a few earth loops. Simple to use and feels really reliable.

The construction is way more solid that the price would suggest and I can't imagine it failing anytime soon!

Simple to use, well made and sounds great - every gigging musician should have one in their gigbag!

A good entry-level linebox

i was quite surprised with the quality of this thing given the price point it's at.

It works just like it should, there's no special features or anything really missing, so a thorough review isn't in it's place here. But I had no problems with it and I used it ALOT when gigging and it was dropped and kicked around (Not deliberately of course) and it didn't break.. So, if this is what you need, get it!!

great little box for a low price

We use this box to connect guitars and basses into the church P.A. system. It is a handy unit which seems to provide a fine sound quality. There is no need to run expensive instrument leads a long distance

the unit comes with a speaker out to allow you to plug into an amplifier after the DI box. It also comes with a ground lift switch

these DI boxes are a really nice price at under ten euros. And they are a must have when running bass guitars through front of house. I would keep a couple of these units on hand as spare just because of there low cost and how useful they are. Well worth buying.

Also the build quality is quite decent. There is a metal casing so these could be dropped or kicked around the stage without hassle or worry.

And because they are not active they do not need to be plugged into a power source which saves extra leads running around the stage.

Great D.I Box.

Great D.I Box and very cheap. I use it for acoustic guitars, bass guitars and keyboards! Extremely handy to have and it is very sturdy and very well built! I would recommend this product to anybody looking for D.I Boxes. Simple design but very effective!

Its a pretty solid DI

After extensive use in the touring world of top end DI,s everything from the humble BSS AR116 through to The Avalon U5 I ended up needing a few DIs for a project at home, as this was going to be an ongoing project, with a low budget, I wanted to keep costs down by buying the gear, not renting, but keeping to as good a sounding item without huge expense, so, after a recommendation from a friend, took a punt on this unit, and have to say, really rathe impressed, I can't hear the difference between these and the emo passives, these DI's are impressively ruggedly well made, and Ive not had an ounce of trouble with it, even after dragging a couple along on a tour when we added a keyboard.

Cheap and cheerful DI box

Although not overflowing with fancy features this DI box is well made, works well and is solidly built.

The link out feature allows the use of amplifiers etc on stage whilst still allowing the feed to the sound engineer. This means your guitar player or keyboard player can still have their own amplifier but you get a clean, uncolored signal to the mixing desk.

An earth lift switch allows the removal of those nasty and annoying earth loop hums that can wreck an otherwise great sound. i have found these particularly common with laptop computers and the ability to remove them quickly and simple at the flick of a switch is fantastic.

As this is a passive DI box there is no need for phantom power or batteries, just plug in, turn on and get on with it.

No hassle, no frills, just great value and a great product.

Excellent cheap DI box

These are great to carry around as problem solvers and for bulking out DI stock.

On active sources (keyboards, mixers, instruments with active pick-ups) they work great. I wouldn't recommend using them on a passive source (instruments with passive pick-ups) because the resulting output will be very low and won't wound good.

This isn't to say it doesn't work. For example, I was engineering a gig recently and the mixer's phantom power supply wasn't working and we had no 9v batteries left! The bass amp's DI output was noisy so we tried one of these DI's as a last resort. The bass guitar had passive pick ups meaning a lot of treble was lost from the sound but it suited the music and the set of the mix was adjusted to work around it. It saved the gig!

My only concern is the output XLR connector doesn't fit some XLR leads perfectly. Also the retaining clip is quite weak and has broken on a couple of these DI's that I've used. Nothing tape can't fix though!

Again, these are great. You can't say no for the price.

Millenium DI-E

This was my first ever Di box to buy/own. This particular Di box is simple and easy to use and I instantly noticed an improvement in my sound. I must admit I'm still quite shocked at this products performance because I paid a little amount of money for such a useful tool. I must stress to people looking to buy a DI box for the first time (or people with not a lot of cash) that this is a perfect buy with high quality at a low price. I bought this box for the use of live acoustic performing and it suits that purpose perfectly. It was a star buy for me in my opinion and I highly recommend this item to other buyers unsure about buying a Di box!! A big thumbs up

These are really solid units that will take all the knocks of life on the road. Definitely going to buy some more of these

Works great!

Have no other DI to compare to, but sounds exactly like plugging into a instrument input on the Line 6. I have used it as a re-amp in reverse and that works great aswell!

Well built, acceptable sound

Budget Solution for line Signal. ( Keyboard, and Line ) Sound Good.

Instrument ( Acc Guitar, Bass ) too much gain loss with passive Instruments.

Sound : I rather have a stage full of them,

then the active silver Beh.....

And they dos not Distort on High Output Instruments.

Millenium DI-E

Good, cheap and cheerful DI box. It does what it says on the tin. I'm sure it's not as transparent as more expensive ones but never the less it does the job amicably. The ground lift works well and connections seem solid and the unit well made. Can't go wrong for the money, especially if like me you rarely have the need for one!

What a great little DI - why pay more?

I use these as DI and also as balancing boxes for wedges (DI backwards) and they are robust. Our church owns 10 of them. Never had an issue.

If you put them near a torroidal transformer they will pick up a bit of mains hum but intelligent cabling negates this issue.

Great quality for the price.

Fantastic build quality, and pretty good sound for the money. I used them when I had a load of synths to deal with in an act and couldn't justify buying that many name brand DI's for one gig. I still use them now as the sound quality is good enough for most things, and at this price, I certainly can't complain. Would happily pay another couple of £'s to get a pad switch though.

Overall great bits of kit for the money.
