Small but all you need!

4 stars only because it does not have the best battery compartment (it may open by itself). And the test button rotates quite hard. But the tool itself is working flawlessly! And the price for such a tool is unbeatable.

Nice and handy!

Very nice and handy little thing. I bring it to ever venue I'm doing live sound for. Works really well, just remember to bring a 9v battery.

Very complete unit

THis is a very complete unit, but it would really benefit for a Dummies guide to cable testing, with examples of how to set the tester, and what the results show.

Maybe a video would help, showing a couple of examples of what a good cable looks like, what does a noisy cable show, and how a dead cable show (maybe XLR and 1/4's)

Apart from the comprehensive 'how to' the unit seems fine and is a really good asset to have on any band that has gone through bad cables in the past.

The price is still cheaper than the competition, with the same number of functions(or more if I remember correctly).

Very useful

I started making my own cable for precise lenght and this is good to have to check thisngs out.

The battery seems to last forever.

excellent value

gets the job done, build quality compared to price is good. Covers all the basic cables needed in a rehearsel room/studio. Easy to read.

good stuff - watch for contacts

I needed a cable tester, since I have a crapload of different cables in my home studio. It is intuitive and easy to use. The only flaw I've found in it, is that sometimes the battery holder does not stay perfectly in its place, and than you have no function. But pushing it a bit moves and works fine. Another thing I've observed, that if you have a cable with bad shielding [e.g. chinese cables given for free with cheap gear] the LEDs light up, as you have contacts, but the light intensity is much weaker than the one with a good cable. Very useful.

great features

i bought this cable tester because nothing is more annoying than using broken cables. the millenium mct-10 has great features so that you can check the most commonly used cables. if you want to test an uncommon plug, you can still use the probe tips. i took one star off because from time to time the battery cover doesn't hold the battery in the right place so that the mct-10 doesn't work.

Little Helper!

When You're hitting the road with your band and your own Pa and you'll have this guy in the band ,who always returns the broken cable to the cable bag, you gonna love this little helper!

Easy to handle, fitting into every case and really, really not that expensive!

You gonna find that one broken cable easily and within less minutes. No more trying around and cable switching.

The only thing I wish is a power on/off switch!

Maybe the more expensiv version got that. But the cheaper version works for me.

And I swear... It's our guitar player, who always returns the broken cables... ;)

Just one tiny flaw

Brilliant device. Tests accurately, very easy to use. I've been using this for five years now, and it has never let me down. The terminals add continuity testing - for checking fuses, for example - to its already wide repertoire. And the price is superb - great value for money. I have only one issue - which is that the battery cover doesn't stay secure; after a while it works loose. Nothing that a bit of Gaffa won't fix, but the first time it happened it took a while to spot the problem.

outstanding value for money

This is very cheap but, in spite of its price, it does an excellent job. The unit is very solid and it has all the featured needed to check all kind of cables a gigging musician or sound engineer will need to test.
