Millenium MCT-10 Reviews
Very handy tool for the gigbag
I use this to check that my guitar cables and peaker cables are working. Will come in very useful if I need to troubleshoot a cable issue at a gig.
Small but all you need!
4 stars only because it does not have the best battery compartment (it may open by itself). And the test button rotates quite hard. But the tool itself is working flawlessly! And the price for such a tool is unbeatable.
Surprisingly useful thing
I hesitated getting a cable tester, as, well, I have a multi-meter, why do I need this thing? But when I needed to check the SpeakOn cable, I was convinced.
And I'm glad I did. This thing is easy to use and detects lots of problem. Bleeding signals, reverse wires, broken cables -- everything.
Get one if you do your cables.
Very good tester. A problem can be identified immediately.
Sturdy, robust, disappointing
This little tester appears to be built very well with a strong and weighty metal case. The sockets and switches seem to be of good quality too. However, there are no instructions included and to the non-electronically minded, the LED indications may appear confusing. Also, and most frustrating, is that the 9v battery compartment will not close tightly, resulting in battery contact regularly being broken or the battery falling out of the unit completely.
Nice and handy!
Very nice and handy little thing. I bring it to ever venue I'm doing live sound for. Works really well, just remember to bring a 9v battery.
Great project
A very rugged product comes with some great features. Very useful for when on stage.
Every Toolbox Should Have One
Solid and reliable piece of kit which has been part of my kit for a while. Takes the heartache out of checking cables during setup, although I can end up checking everyone else's leads!
Simple to use and great value
I use it to chech cables when I solder. Its been very helpful special if you have to chech multiline cables. It's a must if you make your own cables.
Great device!
Often use this device, it is really cool!
Very complete unit
THis is a very complete unit, but it would really benefit for a Dummies guide to cable testing, with examples of how to set the tester, and what the results show.
Maybe a video would help, showing a couple of examples of what a good cable looks like, what does a noisy cable show, and how a dead cable show (maybe XLR and 1/4's)
Apart from the comprehensive 'how to' the unit seems fine and is a really good asset to have on any band that has gone through bad cables in the past.
The price is still cheaper than the competition, with the same number of functions(or more if I remember correctly).
use it at home, studio, road
Very usefull tool, especialy if you making you own cables or you need to test a bunch when you hit the road.
Built like a tank... (in fact it almost looks like a brick) very easy to use, the Millenium MCT-10 covers a lot of ground having the most commonly used conections. Plus , you have the measuring tips for shorter cables and for continuity tests.
Very useful
I started making my own cable for precise lenght and this is good to have to check thisngs out.
The battery seems to last forever.
very useful problem detector !
detects faulty cables ina second, very useful, good bang for a money !, Highly recommend , every band should have one.
Kinda does the job
I guess it does the job, but there was no instructions except for a paper stating that the foot pads are made of some nasty material that will destroy a lot of material you put it on.
Perfect tools
Very easy to use. This MCT-10 is enough for me to check whenever i have a doubt on any cables.

Used as a cable tester.
Good quality for a low price.
As an advantage - it's multi functionality.
Handy tool.
Its a must if you make your own cables or just want to reliably test your cables, at home or on tour.
Great price as well.
Very handy
The product dose what it says. The only problem I have with it is the loose battery compartment.
I do a lot of custom length cables and this box comes in handy to check the soldering. It also helps identify broken cables very fast.
A feature that I would add would be a slot for checking mini jacks cables as well.
I recommend this to anyone how works in a live environment or makes his own cables.
rental user
Good quality, really helpfull for a fast test of the cable.
Using it on stage and in laboratory.
You have to have one always with yourself!
