Millenium MS 2002 Mic Stand Reviews
Perfect small mic stand
This Mic stand is ideal for acoustic guitar recordings cause it has the perfect height to be placed in front of the sound hole. of course this could be done with every regular mic stand but a small one is more stable.
This stand is also ideal to place a mic in front of an e-guitar cab on rock concerts.
Our drummer uses it for the bassdrum microphone which also works very well.
Works, but would not buy it again
We bought the mic stand for our reherseal room to use it for the bass mic. Unfortunately it is hard to keep in the correct position because you can not tight it enough.
does it's job in studio environment
I bought this one for my homestudio use and it does its job pretty well.
All the screws are fine and every way of adjusting it works as well.
Still, I wouldnt recommend it for use on the road because the stand appears quite flimsy over all. I can imagine it woould break apart prematurely in a "tour-situation".
Despite this i can say its just fine for (home-)studio usage.
Great value
Reasonably stable and usable for home use. Great deal taking the price into account. I use to hold the microphone for recording my acoustic guitar and I am very happy with that especially because of the small size and hight.
Very well priced
These are good solid mic stands - but bear in mind the price. They might not stand up to years and years on the road being handled by careless roadies, but if you're careful with them and release the tension before folding them up they will see you very well for years of gigging.
In my experience, these are just the right height for mic'ing drums - perfect for the bass drum or the snare and I much prefer a floor stand to clip ons as I find the latter always fall off.
The weight is very good and the finish decent, these look the part and have happily performed well for the last 4 years in my gigging band.
Really cool micstand
This mic stand i really good for micing guitar cabs, acoustic guitars. Rally stable stand for very litttle money. Godd stuff for the homestudio owner on a budget. Ive had mine for 7 years now without any problem and still working
Good value for money
Cheap, well made and sturdy. Not the heaviest stand but still solid enough. My test is to see if it can hold an Electrovoice RE20 in place when fully extended, it passes the test!
Millenium MS-2002 Mic Stand
This microphone stand was very good for the price and holds my condenser microphone with no hassle at all!
I would recommend this stand for casual use.
As expected.
Not the greatest quality, but fairly good for the price I spent. No real complaints, but no real outstanding qualities, either! I have a bunch of stands from Millennium, and I'm satisfied.
Great
Great in the studio, and perfect live. The perfect amp/drum mic stand.
Another surprisingly good 'Millenium' product
I needed a stand to mic my guitar cabinet for recordings, and didn't want to put too much money for it, so I bought this one. It seems this is far better made than I had expected, since I would also take this with me to a gig - the stand is heavy and seems to have enough stability to handle high sound pressures. The crane is long enough to place this farther away from the miking point.
Certainly recommended product!
Splendid short mic stand
This is a great stand for the price. I've used them for a couple of years and they are pretty solid for a lightweight stand. Adjustment knobs are easy to deal with and you can get a secure stable mic placement with small-medium size mics.
Great Stand
I use this stand mostly for micing up my guitar amps live. Its very solid and never slips. The counter weight allows for solid mic placing and the mic never moves during the shows. It folds away tidily and takes up little space. This mic stand is very well built and will last a lifetime if you look after it. The telescopic boom is fantastic. It can reach the top speaker 4x12 on a stack easily if needed. It also looks really elegant when micing up a small combo. Our drummer likes it a lot too for micing his snare drum, as it can be hidden nicely out of the way, and also uses it for his kik drum mic,as it can reach several inches inside the front bass drum skin and hold a heavy mic securely, due to the counter weight. All the adjustable parts are solid and secure, . great product.
Mic Stand
Excellent mic stand. I used it for bass drum mic and it work fine for this job. Well worth the money. Stability is OK. Use it everyday fot two or three years and it still working.
A firm stand
The MS-2002 mic stand is very good for micing low audio-sources ( anything below 100 cm height). It has long, rubbered feet that are almost horisontal to the floor (15 degrees at most, I guess) which makes the lightweight mic stand very stable. The height is adjustable and so is the length of the boom. The mic stand is fully assembled in the box it comes in, so no loose parts to worry about. The telescopic boom has a counterweight at one end to offset any heavy microphones.
The mic stand has very good stablity and I recommend it to everyone.
Great!
Amazing Mic Stand! Extremely good value and very well built. This mic stand has never failed on me! I would recommend it to anybody! Great buy!
Not the best stand
You have to have a lot of muscles to get this to stay to its position. Not stable at all, and annoying to handle.
MS-2002 Mic Stand
Not much you can say about a mic stand. This one is reassuringly solid and robust with many adjustment possibilities.
Usefully it comes with an adaptor so you can mount differently-sized microphone clips which is a nice touch. Rubber non-slip feet.
Used it to mic up a guitar amp for which purpose it was idea. Not very much cash for a nice bit of kit that will last a lifetime if you don't leave it behind at the venue like I did. D'oh.
Also good for holding a kick drum mic and long enough to get adjustment to get the kick drum mic close to the beater skin. Very good!
Okay for the price
I actually bought two of these with a friend. I got the better one as my friends stand had all it's screws stripped almost instantaneously and the whole stand almost broke. Mine has lasted to this day which is amazing considering how unreliable the other one was.
So you might want to be careful with this one and don't hold your hopes too high up. You get what you pay for. But if you do get lucky, this stand works great and is no worse or better than other stands a big higher up in the price scales. So, get this or don't. It's not bad for the price.
worth it, just don't treat it badly
Metal parts are durable, plastic ones not so. So make sure you don't mistreat it and it will last a long time. Open the locks before adjusting to avoid undue breakage.
