Great for the money

OK so these are not K&M stands but they are great for the money.

You can feel they're a bit cheap when you tighten the fittings and the telescopic boom will come out if you pull it too far (it does go straight back in).

But for the money they do what you need them to, with no fuss.

Millenium MS-2002 Mic Stand

For a cheap and cheerful short telescopic mic stand these are just the ticket.

I bough a few of these and they are all still working even though they have been thrown in and out of a stands trunk by ham-fist'd road crew.

Their height allows you to use these in a multitude of applications from snare to brass instruments (sax etc:) and guitar cabs.

All in all a good buy.

Perfect solution for amps and kick drums

I bought this to use for micing guitar amps as well as kick drums.

It holds the weight of dynamic microphones, both hand-held style (SM57 etc) as well as kick drum specific (D112 etc), as well as large diaphragm condensers without issue.

It comes with the necessary adapters and the height adjustments are perfect for micing cabs and kick drums. I think it would probably work well for under-micing snare drums too.

The only issue I've found is that it can be slightly tricky to tighten, however once it's tightened, it remains in place well and doesn't tip or sag even with heavy mics.

I have several of these for multipurpose use and overall find them to be very good stands. However, I sometimes find them to be a little too tall for optimal position on kick drums (when trying to get right inside the head) without a riser. For micing outside the kick they are just fine, also for amps, percussion etc.

Okay for the money

Nice size stand for kick drum mic. Not the most solid stand, but ok for the money.

Good Value for Home

Is it just me or do mike stands get flimsier every few years?..most kit is now better quality and value than what I started with but not stands....in fairness,this is actually good for the price for home or occasional quiet gigs but doesn't match up to the strength of some of my rusted,heavy old battleship grade stands from about 30 years ago...

Very good value for the price.

Bought it for kick drum and guitar amps miking in studio. Used many other brands stands from cheap to expensive over the years, and i can say it's really good value for the money. Not as sturdy as K&M stuff, but actually quite close. Never had problems with it, and i use one for 2 years. If you are searching for good stand and you are on the budget, it would be a very wise choice.

Have stood up well to use overall

I bought 3 of these a few years ago and if it hadn't have been for people not knowing how to adjust mic stands - I would still have 3 fulling working stands (Yes, there are simple to use, but amazingly there really are people who do not understand the principle).

I am happy to say that they are still in use and sometimes double up as lighting poles too. But as mic stands they were adequate. Not the best but within the budget at the time these were a great deal and lasted for quite some time even with idiots mistreating them. Reasonable quality at an affordable price

I use two of these to capture a cabinet with two mics, either live or on recording session. I would say they are better for studio but less good for live - there are smaller, lighter, better products for live usage. I would say they are good products and they do the job. I do recommend them.

Great for miking up a snare drum....

This is a very decent quality stand, and even better for the price.

I find it perfectly suited to holding my AT MB-2K Microphone to mic my snare,

even when space is an issue, due to cymbal legs etc, as it has an extendable arm.

Very sturdy build helps to keep the microphone in place when recording,

or in a live environment. Millenium make incredible quality items at less than half the price in most cases (if not all!) of the leading brands, and this item is no different. Their drum hardware is exceptional, so much so that I have replaced all of my bigger branded hardware with Millenium 900 series.

Short stand

I was disappointed by mic stands from Millenium before, because they had cheap mechanics and used to broke up and was unapplicable. This Mic stand was nice surprise. Great build, good mechanic and more or less sufficient stability. Ideal stand on snare mic.

Decent Mini Boom For The Price

I bought 4 of these as it's coming up to festival season and i wanted some low boom stands that i wouldn't mind getting kicked around and muddy at glasto and other outdoor festivals.

They definitely don't feel like a K&M or other more expensive mic stands, but their low price makes up for that.

Perfect for the price

For the price you cannot really expect much better than this.

I set it up with the t.bone MB75 mic in it and it holds it rock solid against my guitar cab.

I've got it on the lowest setting but there is plenty of adjustment to get it a lot higher.

There is no swivel adjustment at the clip end but it is not an issue for me.

Recommended.

Good stand.

Not much needed from a mic stand only to hold a mic in place and this does exactly that.

It's slightly weak in places but does exactly what's required of it with no hassle.

Great little guitar mic stand. I have used this on and off in the recording studio and found it to suit the job perfectly. I was worried at first that the mic may pick up vibrations/noise from the stand, as it costs so little, but its perfect! Not a bit of noise or vibrations!

The design of the stand is good, and it is very sturdy. I was concerned about the durabillity of the moving parts, but so far they have performed well, and I have had no issues with them. They are very handy for live gigging because of their size, and do not take up a lot of room in the car unlike bigger mic stands.

I find I use these mic stands way more than full size boom stands, as they don't tend to get in the way as much when tracking a full live band, so I use them for bass drums, snares, guitar amps, double bass and more!

A small stand for various uses

I have two of these stands, one which I use for a Shure SM57 and one for a large diaphragm microphone. It works brilliantly for both of these applications, although at times a bit big.

For the sm57, this is used to mic up amps. This thing has a great reach, and you can't really think of an amp that wouldn't work with this. For the large diaphragm mic this is used on top of a desk. Making it reach a standing persons mouth is no problem this way. Using it sitting down, for tracking acoustic guitar or speech also works great. The downside to this kind of setup is that the base will take up a lot of space. This could be a problem, but for the stabillity you get out of this, it is definitely worth it.

The other issues I can find are that the connection on the head, the threads, seem a bit too deep. This makes it look like what ever you place on the end of the boom isn't fully on. In practice, this is not the case. Everything is solid on and stable.

The final problem is that it is not super tight or solid. The joints may have some movement in them, although this isn't really such a big of a problem.

Decent Stand

Compact and easy to handle stand, with plenty of controls for the stand height and arm length. Had a few build quality issues, but nothing that cant be fixed with a bit of superglue. At this price, can't really complain, it's a well priced and practical bit of equipment.

Mic Stand for bass drum

Actually it is really great thing. Everything works great but one day on part of this stand just broke of. I realized that there was no glue or smth else enaugh but I took a glue and fixed this stand. By the way price is excellent and for this price this stand is great!
