Solid micrpohone stand

Easy to adjust. Great value for money! Sometime it's a little bit unstable; could add a bit of weight to the base (but then it's heavier to transport...so...)

If you're in the market for a standard mic stand and you don't feel like shelling out the extra 10 bucks for the K&M name, then this stand should suit your needs.

No frills. No bells or whistles. Just an honest to goodness mic stand. The build quality honestly comes pretty close to its competitors but it's just not 100% there. I bought this to have in the studio, but I ended up taking it with me on the road to use for backing vocals behind the drums. It did its job and pretty well and as long as you don't just throw it around it should be able to work for some time.

I did notice that the boom arm started sliding a bit after constant readjustment, but that's to be expected with any budget stand.

All in all, you're not going to find a more reliable stand in this price range, and I've found these things on some pretty big stages before. I wouldn't knock it too hard.

Decent stand for the price but carefull with heavy mic's

First off I would like to state that I made my rating with the price in mind. I think that investing in a more expensive but more stable microphone stand is wiser then buying this one. But if you are like me and have a really tight budget, it is a good temporary mic-stand.

I use this stand for my RODE NT1 microphone in my home studio. This microphone is a little too heavy for the stand (400g). I have tried to set it up quite horizontally but that didn't work (kept coming down) so I ended up with an upright setup. I could imagine this being less of a problem if your mic is less heavy (shure sm58 is 300g).

This is by no means a high-end stand but it holds the mic and it's really cheap. For this price it's good bang for your buck, especially if your mic isn't too heavy.

-Easy to use

Con's:

-Not suitable for heavy mics

-Not sturdy enough for live gigs

Mediocre quality but I guess that's reasonably all for the price

It's ok... Quite fragile, one of the screws broke after 1 week of light use. So treat it gently...

It's not a top stand but definitely does the job.

Not good enough

The first junction (between the feet and the vertical tube) are not that stable.

For recording purposes might work fine, but for live gigs I don't believe it would last longer.

The screw won't tighten the adjusted hight of the stand.

I think I overtightened it even if I vas very careful.

This happened at the first use.

I bought two stands. The other one is so far ok.

I know it's cheap, but it should work anyway.

I dont recomend this stand at all.

Excellent mike stand

IN mid 2000's bought some of them for miking up my drumkit as they were pricey and I still used them on today without any wear signs. Super durable for their price, rock solid and of course ver ylight to carry them over a gig and also forgot to mention on how easy they are when deploying them ...

Best for it's price

I've been searching for a cheap Microphone stand. And finally i chose this because I can mount a microphone, pop filter and mic-screen at the same time. So it does it job and I love it. With this micstand i can set the microphone in any position, so it's quite comfortable. The only thing i didn't like is that several parts are shaking even when every wheels were spinned properly.

Piece broke on first use

The piece for tightening the height of the mic broke on first use. It's made of cheap plastic. It should be of metal or a harder plastic. Really poor quality.

The threading of the screw for the boom arm was worn and wouldn't lock on opening the product. Which was disappointing but overall it seems very sturdy

Just okey

I bought those stands just to have something to put the mic on at my house. I didn't expect anything solid/very good quality. And this stand is just ok. As long as you have a concrete floor, you don't jump but just play it should do the job. But, if you need something good quality, easy-handling and solid, I wouldn't recommend it.

Does the job

Great product for the price. Not super heavy duty but good enough for a budget home studio.

You get what you pay for

The stand works but its not very good quality, but what can you expect from such a cheap product?

OK for the job

OK stand not a lot of weight at the bottom but with proper placement it will remain stable. Paint will soon wear out at the places where the screws hold everything together, but for the price...Just do not overtighten

Accident waiting to happen

This tripod comes with the 'Rode NT1-A Complete Vocal Bundle' but it's not very suitable for use with this microphone. The microphone is too heavy and the tripod is too wobbly. I only use it with the microphone very close to the center of mass as it will fall over if I don't.

Also, even when I have the screws on the tightest setting I can manage, the rods will still move around, flipping your microphone over during recording.

Lastly, the manual mentions that you shouldn't put the tripod on your floor as the rubbers may stain it permanently. Why not use a different non-staining material?

For the Shure SM57 bundle, with which this stand also comes, some of these problems don't arrise, as it is a much lighter microphone. But I'd still only give it two stars for use with that microphone.

Yes, it's a cheap product, but I wouldn't call it a bang for your buck.

This is great mic stand for the price if you use it for a fixed possition on a studio

It is usable but don't expect professional quality

Well, it's not the best stand, but it does the job if you only use it for light studio aplication. Made mostly from metal, which is good, however the clamp is hard to secure and you need to turn it really well if you want the arm to stand in the position. Also, when you secure the arm in horizontal position it still has a bit of vertical movement to it (the end of the arm lifts a few mm up and down, because it is only secured by a single screw which makes it move a little bit inside the housing, which is just a little bit loose). The vertical pole is not very straight as well when secured, because the bottom screw (near the legs of the stand) makes it lean a bit to the side, when the screw is completely turned - it could look a bit strange for a vocalist, if he sang standing up, but otherwise its merely cosmetic problem.

If you're going to use the stand with a condenser mic you should definetely buy a shockmount because you are going to experience a lot of unwanted noises from this stand. I am not a professional, so hopefully I will use it ok with a bit of attention.

Very good value for money

For the price quite good. There are much better stands but they of course cost more. I use mine not that often so it is okay for my use.
