Broken after 3 months

I usually trust millenuim products but this has failed already. I think we've done about 6 gigs with it over 2 months and already the thread on the boom extender has threaded and come loose. Only very light use as our singers don't move the stand around much. Dissapointing but I guess you get what you pay for. I'm going to try it with a new screw or possibly re-thread it.

You get what you pay for

Nice microphone stand, I recently bought few. There is not much to review about mic stand, except one thing - it could be a bit more stable. This can probably be achieved with slightly longer base legs.

All in all, it seems ok, material is ok, screws are ok.

Great for the price

Use case:

I use it for "studio live" recordings. It is set at the beginning and basically not handled anymore until the end of the act, so it is a very light usage.

How it feels:

Compared to a cheap K&M, this feels more flimsy, but it is also way cheaper. Once in a while you will have to tighten the screws of the feet, if you don't want that the feet hang down when you lift the stand.

Durability:

I have two of them, and I think I didn't use them more than 20 times each, so I can't say much besides that, for the moment, I had no problems.

Pros and cons:

for energetic live acts, tours and similar I would chose something more sturdy. For a studio usage or sporadic and "calm" live acts, the MS 2003 will allow you to save a lot of money.

VERY GOOD for the price...

As someone who's just starting out with his studio, I need many mic stands, and these are fantastic for the price. They might not extend as far as I might like, but I've found a purpose for each of them, including this one. Now there are some minor gripes I have with the slight movement, even when I tighten everything as hard as possible, but it does it's job and it does it well!

it's okay for the money

I bought this one as an extra stand for live and home studio applications. It's not a very stable stand and I have better stands that cost just about the same.

pros: value (sort off)

cons: stability

For live sound I woulnd't bother, just look for a bit more expensive one.

For home studio it would be "okay". I mean you can stabilize it with some weights.

Not great for proffesional use

In hindsight I would?ve gone with the K&M?s. Two of these stands already broke.

Cheap, but not worth the money

These stands are very light, anchor points are made from very weak plastic. Using them only on very light mic's. A Large Capsule Condensor causes the stand to fall over the anchors just loose tension. Not worth your money, not even at this price.

Uneven legs

One of the legs goes lower than other two. As a consequence, the stand skews to one side. Probably a manufacturing defect, but still not cool at all.

Fair

It gets the job done. Stability could be better and quality as well.

For the price is ok but it is not so robust.

For the price are really good

I bought 6 of them. Great stands, stable and handy.

Not very recommended

I have a couple of these and I have gotten them in sets with microphones and I must say, if they weren't so cheap I would stay away. The tightening is kinda wonky and I have broken one as a result of overtightening beacuse it wouldn't stay in place. For micing amps and, to a degree, drums they do their job okay after you have somehow gotten them were you want them, but for vocals I recommend a quality stand. Quick small changes are not ideal with this stand. Also, for more heavy mics, like Shure SM7B, you can't bring the boom very far of center or it'll just drop.

If you are actually reading reviews of stands, you probably want a better one.

A tad flimsy

I don't think it'll fall down, as long as I don't bump it.

Good quality

Not too heavy and very easy to use.

Good for the price

Advantages:

-it can hold condenser mic, even if the arm is fully extended (and these are quite heavy!)

-professional looking main arm vice

-paint seems durable

I dont think, that you can expect more, from that kind of equipment. Piece of a good quality hardware, a specially for the price. Its not a big suprise, that millenium offers us a great quality equipment, for not that much price

Not bad for the money

It's not the most stable. The adjustments are a bit uncomfortable to use and they have to be tightened really hard to remain tight. Probably not suitable for stage use, but in my little rehearsal booth no problem.
