Great stand!
Good quality for the price !
Decent micrphone stand
I use the stand on my desk. It's stable and easy to use. For the price, it definitely does the job well.
Stable doesn't quite define it
Got it to record my guitar amp without raising it too much, and was pleasently surprised when it arrived. It's heavy. And boy, do I mean heavy! A lot of other mic stands I've had over the years couldn't really be trusted to still stand when fully extended, but this one can be trusted with it's full range of motion no problem, mainly due to the base plate being so amazing.
And finally, it looks great. I really like Millenium products because they're inexpensive, and at worse they do in a pinch, but sometimes they do so well that you became a loyal customer, and this is the latter case.
Did I mention it's heavy?
Heavy means reliable. If the club owner doesn't pay you, you can always throw the mic stand at him.
Good Cheap Mic Holder
I bought it to record my guitar amp with an SM57. It does its job, obviously it's not a really versatile stand: it's good if the beam is almost vertical to the floor, if you use a relatively heavy mic it can fall easily (with the SM57 it's not really the case).
+ : It's small and comfi
+ : it's really portable and light weight
+ : it requires a very little space
- : it isn't versatile
Excellent choice
Robust and steady, easy to handle, trusty pal!
Great for mic'ing an amp
I bought this to use for amp mic'ing using my SM57. For the money it is great value. I have it in my home studio meaning it is not moved around much. I am not sure it would last that long if it was set up and taken down regularly, but for a relatively static use, I cannot fault it.
So for use in a studio where it is not changed too often, it is perfect. The base is circular and designed to take up a minimum of floor space. It does mean setting the stand up initially will require you to balance the beam, but the advantage is the minimum requirements to the surroundings.
Can topple
Generally ell made, although screwing the stand into the base the first time is a fiddle. However the cable clip on the vertical part of the stand sheared in two the first time I attempted to remove it to clip the cable in.
awesome!
your mic want this babe;)
Solid, but look elsewhere for good quality
It works, but feels a little cheap and started to rust a little after a while.
Ideal
This is perfetc for micing up amps and Accoustic Guitars just about, deppends how high your stool is,.
Small stand
Small space stand. I use it for micing kick drum and it seems good for that. Feels sturdier than cheap regular size millenium stands.
Good for the price but not great
It does it is expected.
However, since I've placed the mic way inside the bass drum, to get the fat sound of the drum and also the attack off the pedal on the skin I had to rotate the resonant skin to elevate the vent hole to match the stand height and also, had to add more weight to the base of the stand to prevent it from falling off.
Still, gets the job done.
Drum kick and guitar
We use it for both drum kick mics and gutar amp recording. Solid and very useful. I like the screws.
tips over
Good, but not the best choice if you're mic-ing bass drum and wanna go deep in the kick drum, it would tip over.
Quality build!
Nice stand, decent construction quality. The Mic I use is a little heavy, but the stand still stays upright.
Nice stand
I like the circle stand because the triangle feet usually take much more space. I recommend this one especially if you use it in an ISO BOX for guitar as you can place two side by side inside the ISO BOX.
Good Stand at a Very Good price
Despite its price it is a very good stand for the kick drum. It has a heavy "foot" that gives stability. Also it is easy to manipulate and move it in different positions relative to the kick drum hole.
Love it
This microphone stand is great. I use it for micing kick drums, and it doesn't quite stand up when extended fully (with a fat bass drum mic on the end), but otherwise, it's a life- and space-saver.
Is quite durable
The stand is quite durable. The base is rather heavy, so it stands steadily.
