Millenium MS 2006 Low Mic Stand

This, despite my somewhat low scoring, is reasonably made for the price tag. The base is sturdy too.

However the knobs to tighten the arm, when a mic is in place, are difficult to maintain a good pressure, so that the mic doesn't slowly drop down. One needs considerable strength to tighten them successfully to prevent this. Also the base is on the edge of tipping over with a mic attached, when the arm is fully extended.

I solved this problem as I had an old cymbal stand weight, that was the same size of the arm. When attached it provided the necessary stability.

Therefore I would only recommend this mic stand for those using lighter weight mics and/or not needing the arm fully extended.

(Note: I am using a Shure Beta 57 A microphone!)

Great stand!

This stand is really good! I use it with AKG D112, works great. All made of metal. Very stable. Great price. Best buy!

Surprising number of uses for a little stand.

I picked this up for live miking my guitar amp (I can be much more exact than the old 'hang over the front' trick, and I like an SM57 on my cab), and it is great for that; stable, adjustable and the base screws off for packing away.

However, I also use it all the time in my home studio; miking up acoustic guitars, on the desk for recording scratch vocals, all kinds of stuff. This is a great little utilitarian stand, and everyone should have one!

Great Mini Stand

perfect for mic-ing up kick or snare drums or amps, and saves on floor space which is perfect for my studio,

easy placement, and very strong arm so feel confidence putting my heavy large condenser microphones on it

Excellent stand for mic'ing up

It's well made and solid. Nice heavy base so it stays put. Perfect for mic'ing up an amp and the joints are made so you can get the mic in any position you want and it won't move. Highly recommended.

Great quality and aesthetically beautiful

Great for recording amplifiers and kick drums. Very durable. The base is not that wide so sometimes it can topple, so keep the microphone close to the base.

It is very convenient to use when recording acoustic guitars and guitar cabinets!

Ok, but has a small problem

It's nice and sturdy, but the thread on the boom arm wore away pretty fast and now needs replacement.

Great!

Has plenty of adjustments, is pretty stable and has a small form factor. My Superlux E205U fits into it perfectly, but it gets unstable if it's extended too far. Great overall!

Sturdy but not that handy in cramped studio spaces

Bought two of these stands instead of the ones with the telescopic boom I already owned. They're not that practical if you want to mic a guitar cab inside an isolation box or booth; a telescopic boom would prevent the end of the boom hitting the side of the box/booth thus giving you more room to manoeuvre. These stands might work better in a live situation maybe. I like the round base of the stand though; feels sturdy and you'll be rid of those clumsy legs.

Great weighted mix stands

Really good cheap, weighted, small mic stands. Perfect for heavy mics that go in the kick drum or to mic up cabs.

Found it tricky screwing in the weight to the stand but other than that it's a really usable, sturdy, and trustworthy stand

Great stand

Used in home studio and for micing amps and some drums in live performance.

A great all round stand . Can be used for various applications. The base is heavy and you feel safe putting Mics on it as the build quality is good. Materials feel good and reliable. Moving parts are smooth and tighten Jocelyn. Good quality material and a relatively cheap stand . Worth it!

Excellent, good value, low mic stand ideal for bass drum micing. Solid, weighty base, so stays put once in position.

Build quality perfectly acceptable for such a good value piece of kit.

My only quibble is that a telescopic boom arm would make this stand even better and more flexible when floor space is limited. But I can't really complain, given the price.

Would definitely buy one again if the need arises.

great value mic stand

I use this when recording acoustic guitar and mic'ing guitar amps. When I use it with my condenser mic I have to strap a water bottle to it in order to stop it tipping over. I don't need to do this when I use a SM58 style mic.

The build quality is excellent, apart for the cable guide which broke when I tried to put the cable through, you probably should try to slide it off the end and not pop it off as intuition will make you do.

Basic Product. Does what you'd expect.

Holds the mic for me. No issues with it. Well made product. Would recommend.

An all round good microphone

This arrived only a few days ago and so i haven't been able to use it as of it. Getting the microphone set up and ready use took a matter of moments. The microphone stand is of high build quality and base seems very sturdy; I'm sure it will have no issues with heavy microphones.

Mic stand

Solid well made stand fit for purpose no issues good product

Sturdy and manageable

The base is heavy enough to counter-balance the boom when it is full extended with a microphone at the end. It holds its position well; it hasn't yet started to droop over long periods of use(unlike its owner).
