Good quality for the price.

Whilst not as stable as a traditional tripod mic stand, for example it can be difficult to get a mic right into a kick drum, the reduced footprint is definitely worth this trade off.

Tightenings don't feel very high quality, but thats not really anything to complain about at the price point.

Great for Bass drum

This mic stand is great for miking a bass drum, just enough reach for it to not be too far out or get in the way. Very stable and holds the mic and doesnt sag.

This is a useful stand for me.

I like having a small mic stand for use with guitar amps or kick drums. The base is nicely weighted, too, so unless you're using heavy mics, you can get a pretty good sweep of the mic's range. I've used it with an acoustic guitar, at a push.

Affordable, yet great quality

Feels sturdy and has a very heavy base so it won't fall over! Knobs also feel very nice and it handles very well. I love the Millenium stuff because of it's price and not being complete rubbish !

Works as it should

This stand is fairly cheap and that's the reason I bought it, but don't be confused with this. It's worth more than it costs, does the job well, it's heavy, well build... What to expect more? Recommend it

Very Stable

This is a very stable mic stand, good choice for this money.

I use it for my kick mic in a small stage and for me the boom was too long. I changed the boom for a shorter one and now I'm absolutely satisfied. The two cable clip broken prety easy. Overall, it's a good one.

Good stand but not so much internally for kick drum.

This microphone stand is sturdy and well priced. It is simple and suitable for recording amps, snare, kick drums etc. The circular base may also be useful for confined spaces.

I bought this mainly for micing up kick drums, however due to the fixed height of its base pole it is difficult to insert mics very far into the drum if the skin hole is lower than this minimum stand height, so this should be noted by potential buyers. External micing is not a problem.

Good value for money

An inexpensive, simple stand. Maybe not my first choice for bass drum miking, but works well for miking the snare drum.

Boom, boom, boom!

A while back, I invested in large, boom mike stands for gigging and recording purposes. Almost immediately, I noticed my lack of a small stand for miking low instruments - kick drum, cajon, cello etc. This nifty little stand does the trick.

Compact and useful

I currently own three microphone stands for my home studio including this one, and it's pretty much perfect for my needs because space is at a bit of a premium.

The round base is reasonably heavy and compact and the construction in general is good.

For most situations stability won't be a problem though obviously the minimal footprint means that it's probably not the best idea to use this stand at 90 degree angles with heavy microphones at full extension as the base isn't heavy enough to withstand that kind of use without toppling over.

I think this microphone stand was described as being good for bass drum applications, and while I'm sure that's the case, I think that's underselling it a bit as I actually got it for mic'ing acoustic guitars (played sitting down on a chair) which it's a really good height for also. When using it for this application, I used it configured for maximum vertical height and found it to be stable.

In addition to using the stand with my acoustic guitar recordings, I also used it when I was doing a vocal microphone shoot out and needed another head height stand. In this case I just stood it on my desk at maximum vertical extension again and it was pretty much perfect.

I'm very pleased with this stand and think it's highly likely that I will buy another one at some point soon.

Very nice product

I found it very robust, to easy to handle, is weight give it the right amount of stability. The only set back I found is the missing of a caring case or even a bag.

Do not try this product

This stand has a screw that tightens the metal bar to adjust and when i got it out of the box it actually broke before even using it, so i wouldnt rly recommend it to anyone. Hope that helps

Surprisingly sturdy

This stand easily holds a bass drum mic with the boom fully extended horizontally. Sturdier and better built than I had reason to expect from the low price, I will buy more of these for amp and drum mic'ing.
