Great.

Was looking for a cheap but full frequency microphone right to 20khz. This does that right out the box, i have been using it for the last few rehearsals and its clear and great clarity for my voice.

There isnt a great proximity bass boost, so if thats what your looking for this isnt the mic for you. However if you want your vocals to have great clarity then buy it now.

Just remember tho because of the extra high frequency, it is prone to more feedback than a similar dynamic, so more thought for placement and monitors.

Unfortunatly i would of loved this WITHOUT a switch but i dont think they do one.

on a side note, the mic is a tad ugly, but who cares.

I would buy again.

I was looking for some sturdy microphones on a budget, and these are some of the best I've ever used for the price. I am a big fan of RODE Mics, and these do not disappoint. Perfect for podcasting.

Strong all round mic

This mic is a strong all round vocal mic, I use it as my goto lead vocal mic, as well as for voice of god uses. seems very resistant to feedback, and keeps its tonality nice as you go off axis (somewhat like a d:facto)

Best price / quality Micro

I bought this microphone for my wife, she loved the look and the sound, is a super transparent and with a sound optimum quality microphone. The best of it is the price turns out to be cheaper than a SM58 and better sound. I advise everyone to sing live and give way one power boost the microphone.

Rode M2 - not bad microphone

I've been using this microphone for more than 2 years and had no problems with it. The capsule, when I first saw it didn't fill me with confidence, but you will not normally see it, unless you unscrew the grill. On/off switch in my opinion is unnecessary, but can be locked in on position with a screwdriver. Compared to microphones costing twice it's price it looks and feels that it is from a slightly lower shelf. Having say that, I must admit that with all female singers I tried it, I liked the sound. The microphone made them sound warmer, which with some women voices is a very good feature. It is not boomy, and in my perception the top end is not as airy as with other condensers, but that can be adjusted with eq. It may cause some problem with undisciplined vocalists, as it's hypercardioid.

This is quite good microphone and worth its price. I don't regret buying it. In this price range 5 stars.

The pouch that came with the microphone is unfortunately the weakest part of the package - the zipper disintegrated (of a dozen different microphones I regularly use, only Rode pouches - 2 of 3 - didn't last long, and I'm very careful with them).

Unbeatable consistent sound for the money

-The sound of this microphone is very warm and detailed

-Proximity effect is not disturbing in any way, but helps when needed

-Good feedback and off axis rejection

-Good on loud environments

-Handling noise is almost inaudible

-I like the noiseless button too, does not make any clicks

Just a small advice is not to hold the microphone by the grille, because in that case it tends to feedback quicker.

Would certainly recommend this one to a friend!

Ticks all the boxes

This is a nice mic that will help you create a great sound whether at a live gig or in the studio. I've been using it in both contexts and it's been serving me well. So much so I'm thinking of getting another one!

Great microphone

If you are looking for great microphone with low budget this is the right choice.

All my vocal microphones are Rode M2. I changed standard mics Shure Beta 58A with this ones. Once I heard Rode M2 i know this is the microphone i was looking for a long time.

This microphone has several PROS:

- 10 years warranty

- quality builds, golden connectors

- smooth response over all frequencies

- very good feedback rejection

- higher output (needs less gain on mixing desk)

If you compare this mic with Shure Beta58A, you get better feedback rejections, smoother response, higher output, none of annoying "p" , "b", "s" sounds.. Shure Beta 58A do not have 10 year warranty, and it costs more.. I strongly recommend this mic!

CONS:

- just on/off switch.. I must say i hate it, despite you have chance to lock it..

Excellent Mic

Really great mic for live applications,I find it sound really nice on female vocals as its a condenser you gives you a brighter sound.

Great value for money and competes with other mics of a higher price.

Highly recommended to any one needing a good quality condenser vocal mic for a small budget.
