Best bang for your buck.

Six years owning the NT1 - recorded vocals, guitar amps, percussions, and all that you can imagine - the mic sounds and works absolutely perfect.

Fantastic quality

Awesome microphone for my home studio.

Very sensitive, so you'd need to sound proof well, or record at 7am on Sundays LOL.

But it gives great results - neutral mic producing honest sound, so you can use it for anyone and anything, and work on sound later in the chain.

Good microphone, price package

The rack mount, pop filter and cable included are good. In my opinion this is the best budget choice for recording, because you get everything you need and the microphone is good quality.

A must-have for any studio

As far as I'm conserned there's no reason NOT to buy RODE NT-1 if you're building a recording setup. Relatively flat frequency response gives it more flexibility than it's same-price-range counterparts and the kit has everything to get you started apart from an interface and a mic stand.

The mic itself has a nice weight to it and gives off the impression of being quite durable, further implied by 10-year warranty provided by RODE. I love the matte black finish on it: it looks (and sounds!) a lot more expensive than it actually is. After setting it up, I did a couple recordings of my own voice and I couldn't help but smile from ear to ear because of how good it made me sound after AT3035 and Blue Yeti. Despite being the quietest cardioid mic on the market, it's quite sensitive to the detail in my voice and I didn't need to EQ out as many harsh frequencies as I used to before. At the same time that flat freq response I mentioned allows me to do more adjustments in post.

If you're like me and choosing between Aston Origin, NT-1 and AKG C214 I'd just like to say: they're all going to be great, but if you go for the neutral-looking RODE, you won't regret it. I'd give it a 5/5 in every regard if it had a pad, but even in its current form NT-1 is just something you shouldn't miss out on.

Top budget option

I tested several microphones in the past couple of years but to this day I still love using this one as my go-to for certain projects/recordings (even preferred before pricier alternatives). The character of this microphone is something heavily based on one's opinion but I really like how smooth this one is. Low noise level and promised clarity are not just marketing catches. Another sweat things are the accessories you get with it - in case you're starting out it's awesome to have a pop filter, cable, and a shock mount coming at the package with the mic, even though you already have a couple of microphones at your "disposal" it's always sweet to have these accessories maybe for setup B or just as a backup plan ;)

Best bang for buck!

Overall pretty neutral microphone that can be molded quite widely in your DAW or with additional hardware. Cant really say anything bad for the price and the bundle it provides. I do recommend it for starters and advanced ones too.

Better than what I expected

It's my first Rode mic and I got very surprised with the building quality. The sound is just what I was looking for, a neutral sound that could let me use it for different purposes and not only for voice recording.

Also, I use it with a Focusrite Clarett 4pre, and with the "Air" mode it's just perfect for voice because it gives that bright that you want in a voice, so I'm very happy with this mic.

I like this mic

Excellent condenser microphone from Rode, for perfect sound, you need to work on the acoustics of the room

A solid choice

Bought this mic as a quick vocal recording mic that is permanently rigged to my home studio set up. The mic itself is very robust, sturdy and well made. It’s recording ability is extremely good giving both warmth and clarity to my voice overs and singing. The addition of the highly effective pop cover is great and really adds to the overall professionalism of the set up. I would 100% recommend this to anyone who is after top quality vocal recordings but who is also on a budget. This microphone is a keeper.

Best for the price

This mic sounds so good. It has simillar quality as U87 which costs 10 times more than this mic.

And it doesn't have harshness which NT1A has. It sounds more rich and natural. You will never regret buying this mic.

For home studio set.

I used this mic. bundle for home studio and it was just what i looked for.

Microphone is robust, made from good quality materials and feels like you can even throw it if you want to and it would be fine.

Only lack of features are no buttons, you can`t controll anything on the mic itself, but you can always tweak your stuff in software.

Sound quality is excellent for the price, good, crisp, clear, little warm and dosen`t make noise.

Great Sound for the price

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of sound and the versatility of tasks this microphone can be used for. I'd recommend it to anyone starting their journey with home recording as the setup is incredibly easy.

One thing to keep in mind is how sensitive this microphone is very sensitive and can pick up the faintest background noise if the gain is too high.

Excellent Microphone!

This microphone is the best mic that I've ever owned or used. It captures sources faithfully and adds virtually no color to the sound. On top of that, the self-noise level is incredibly low and the build quality is excellent. I consider the NT1 a must-buy for any studio owner, as it can handle nearly anything you put in front of it. If you're thinking of buying it, just do it and thank yourself later.

More than I wanted. This is what I needed!

I saved monye for 3 months to buy this microphone + Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen. It was an exciting and important purchase for me and recording my audio poems in russian. Today parcel finally Arrived and I love how I sound in this mic. Looking forward to record on him many poems!

One big pro for me — it's super neutral frequency response, So I can totally edit records from "zero".

P.S.: As you can see, I'm not native speaker, so sorry for my bad english :)

Great Mic

The microphone produces a great sound. I use it for singing and guitar amps.

Comes with a shock mount, pop filter, xlr cable and an extendable warranty to 10 years. These are some nice extra's, but if you want to use the mic as a close cabinet mic, you have to buy a solid mount seperately.
