Love this mic!

This is a great mic for the price. Great audio for both Vocal and Instruments. I reviewed various options to accomplish my vocal needs for my studio and I am satisfied with this choice. I since added a Reflection filter with the Pot filter that came with the mic. In addition, the mic came with a quality XLR Cable as well. The overall feel of the mic is solid and well built.

Unbelievable

This mic is just unbelievable. I is soo sensitive, and there is literally no noise... well apart from my own noise :)

Excellent sound quality

The build quality of this microphone is very good. The sound quality it offers is overkill for what I'm intending to use it for, however, I would recommend it to anyone who needs a high fidelity vocal mic.

A plus is the presence of all the accessories included in the set which one should consider if comparing the price.

Good mic!

Its a good microphone, solid and well built

The output is quite hot so depending on what your recording and the preamp you might need a pad, for example a kick drum.

Cant complain! Its taken 5-6 years of abuse and the included shock mount is solid! It would be nice if the pop-shield holder was completely detachable from the mount but other than that, brilliant for the price

Met and exceeded expectations.

Used for home recording vocals. Would be equally at home in any serious project studio. As it says on the tin-extremely quiet. Great package all round. Mount is pro quality and dismantles and packs away easily. Mount is also adjustable. Pop shield works and is just the right size for compact spaces. All in all a hard to beat pro quality bundle. Oh and of course, a more than fair price. Excellent !

Great value!

Without a doubt the best microphone I have used within its price range, and also able to compete with most high-end products.

It is a really good microphone for its price and quality. It is my first microphone and it works perfectly for me!

great

great microphone.

i have used this as a vocal mic for 1 person, a room mic for several people having a conversation for a podcast & overheads for a small drum kit.

the pop shield is both a blessing and a curse, as it stops the plosives BUT it can be a little heavy for some microphone stands i have used in the past

Very good for its price

It's a great first or second condenser mic, and the bundle makes it very easy to get up and running, plus a 10 year warranty is quite stellar.

The quality is good, a bit too much on the top end if you'd ask me but that could be fixed in the mix.

Great Bundle

This was my first purchase of a microphone for home recording of my radio show and it was based on a recommendation.

Cannot fault it and I would definitely buy another Rode microphone if I was looking to upgrade.

Great quality for the price!

I just started creating my home studio and this is my first condenser microphone.

I must say I am very happy with it, the sensitivity is great with very low noise, plus the 10 year warranty from Rode is a really convenient feature.

Build quality of all items in the pack is amazing!

Studio-grade mic on a budget

Bought this microphone for my home studio, I mainly use it for recording vocals, which it does perfectly. It is also very good for recording acoustic guitar, and as drums overhead mic.

Although this is from a budget Rode lineup, the quality is outstanding, everything feels premium and durable. Sound quality is on par with much more expensive microphones, which makes this a great bargain for a home studio.

The only minor drawback for me is that the pop-filter on the spider-holder is not detachable, which makes a whole assembly a bit clumsy when you're not using it. Other than that, I'm 100% satisfied!

Excellent product. Very quiet

This mic is excellent. The level of noise is very low and noticeable for recordings and video conf (handy these days of working form home). I wish it will include the RM2 ring when the whole mounting kit is not required.

Great for vocals and guitars.

I am sure that higher priced models will give you better sounds, but this Rode is at an industry entry-level. I definitely recommend it.

Pros:

- Great set to start recording right away

- Great for vocals and guitars

Cons:

- No cons for the price tag

Very good for the home studio! Rode is a must.

I own a SE condenser microphone for the studio and I just wanted to add a second one. The pack is complete with cables, shockmount and antipop filter. Very good for beginners but not only... we also registered guitar and voice on this album with the same kit: https://ampl.ink/dKN4E
