Sennheiser E 945 5-stars Reviews
The Best
Fantastic Mic, have 2 now, great vocal sound, my SM58 Beta is now a spare.
Excellent price performance ratio
On a gig I tried the wireless version, and for that singer it sounded surprisingly better than the wired 58. So I got one E945 for the studio and was not disappointed. Open sound with very little coloration, great rejection. Might get another one for stereo recordings.
Value for money
This mic is brilliant with a crisp and bright tone, ideal for a soprano in pop rock repertoire. In live situations cuts well through the mix, with a slight compression in its highs without the need of much effort and minimum feedback. It has a satisfying grip and feels comfortable in the hand although a bit heavy. The mesh is also comfortable and flat especially for the low notes where you need to rest your lips, closer to the mic. Very happy with the purchase.
No Sad Songs
Expensive mic, but worth it. Heavy, solid build, good looking but most importantly sounds fabulous. Replaced an aging SM58, and a brand new Audix OM5.
Quality mic
Best quality mic on the market at this price point...and built to last!
One of the best for stage
For the female voice is one of the best I ever used.
Handling noise close to none.
Excellent mic
Really lovely microphone. Works well on lots of voices. Responds well to eq. Seems I have to do much less work to get it sounding nice.
Happy with purchase
E 945
I use this mic for singing live. It is truly awesome, detailed sound great quality as you can expect and I have never had a feedback problem. Very good at off axis rejection. we were mic'ing up drums one day and needed a mic for the snare bottom. we used this and it sounded so good that I bought another one to use as a snare bottom mic. It captures the snare wire very well and detailed too.

Good afternoon. My rating of the microphone is 7 out of 10. 1) The first thing that did not suit me about the microphone was its sensitivity, which was significantly less than that of my usual dynamic microphone, which is why I have to raise the gain on my mixer, and therefore there is additional noise and feedback. 2) The low frequencies do not seem to be as well developed as in Beta 58, which I also use. 3) In the low frequencies, there is something that I can not completely cut out on my parametric equalizer without cutting out useful frequencies, because the vocals are not as transparent as I would like. Now I'll tell you what I liked. 1) Despite the above points, the overall sound quality is good, there is something in common with the studio quality. 2) I really like the microphone grille, its weight and the convenience of holding it in my hands. Given the above, I plan to use this microphone for backing vocals in my band, and for the main vocals, I will consider a condenser microphone. All of the above is my subjective opinion, which may change with the time of using the microphone and changing my equipment to a more expensive one (now I use the soundcraft ui 16 mixer)
Very Good!
Does everything it needs to do, I use it for beatboxing and it sounds absolutely perfect.
The dynamic mic I love
By far my preference for lead vocals in studio rehearsal, live recording and live performance situations ! It is very resilient to feedback in live situation.
The finest vocal mic around
It puts other mics to shame, and i've used everything from crappy cheap mics to the industry standards such as the SM58 Audix om3 - om7 and as much as I like the Audix ones, this just blows me away every time.. The clarity of the voice is excellent, it seems like it adds naturally a lot more direct head room, it makes the vocal sound big and precise. It's perfect for live performances!
very good!
This is a very good mic for leadsinging.
Awesome microphone
I use this microphone for band rehearsals and live gigs. It has nice looks, and feels good just holding it in your hands. Sounds really great. Has clear, soft, pleasant sound. Compered to other dynamic vocal microphones I used (Shure SM 58, Shure Beta 57, Audix OM 3, 5, 11) I prefer this Sennheiser's E945 sound.
Great live vocal mic on female voices
Heard side by side with a Shure SM58, the Sennheiser E 945 sounds much clearer and the SM58 sounds boxy and cheap in comparison. The only minor criticism is that the included zip-up bag feels a bit flimsy - probably typical for this sort of mic, but I this price, something with a bit more padding would have been appreciated.
Perfect
Amazing and robust microfone!! I use it for voice looping and beatbox, fits perfectly my needs.
