Shure Beta 58 A Reviews
Top product for the price
Honestly i don't think this microphone is beatable at this price range for live playing and singing. Built like a tank , excellent sound and a high quallity microphone that will last you a lifetime!
Works as expected
This microphone doesn't need too much introduction. Works as expected whatever you put in front of it.
Amazing microphone for live singing
A professional microphone for live singing sounds amazing, highly recommended!!!
Shure B58A
Similar to Sm58 but supercardioid pickup pattern means it does not pick up mic of what is around it on stage giving much better isolation and less feedback. It sounds a little harder in the mids so cuts thru a dense mix.
Best mic
Hand down, best sounding mic I've ever used
Deserves more stars!
I have an original SM58 (american made back in the day) which is of sentimental value to me. It has been in my family for generations now. I wanted to retire it as I was worried something would happen to it. What I will say is that the Beta trumps it for clarity, especially in the lower decibels. I simply would never consider another mic.
The standard
I still love old faithful. There are better microphones out there of course, but this keeps doing the job.
Little better than sm58
It has a little more high ends and clarity from the sm58. So, if you like it in this way, is great. For me after a couple of hours of use, it sounds like a small upgrade from the sm58. The sm58 sounds a bit more bassy and compressed, fact which I like actually. Beta sounds a step closer to my AKG c300b studio mic. More natural and clear. However, you have to want such a thing in order to appreciate it.
Sound is great
For live performing, I think it's perfect. Haven't recorded anything though. Much better than sm58
Upgrade your SM58
Resistance to feedback is great, we use 4 & at times the front 3 are level with the PA, no problem.
Classic SM58 and more
I have several microphones EV`s, Shure, AKG, Beyer and more but somehow I keep on using the SM58 mostly. However in a small closed environment like my recording studio I found the Beta better in controlling feedback. The sound characteristics of the Beta are slightly different than that of the SM58 the Beta being a little brighter. That being said both are great mics but if you intend to use a mic in a close environment I suggest you try this mic I think you will love it.
An awesome mid-range dynamic mic
I was looking to get something slightly better than the good old SM58 but wasn't willing to splurge on a SM7B just yet either. This one felt like the nice middle ground and it delivered.
As most reviews will tell you, the Beta 58A does everything the SM58 does but slightly better. Well worth the purchase!
best mic !
This is the best microphone you can get
Beta -- BETTER
It is little wonder these things have been an industry standard for so long.

beta 58a
Pretty good microphone, not very good for voice chats or livestreaming/recording videos, good for singing or other speeches
Wouldn't be without it
Such a top class mic, I honestly wouldn't be without it at any gig, so reliable and sturdy for all occasions.

Fabulous Microphone
It's enough for me to have a Shure brand, what a beta 58A microphone, and an amazing performance at live parties.
I really recommend everyone to have a Shure Beta 58A.
