It's amazing. Best for high-pitched vocals.

A mic for all circumstances

Great quality and sound. Using it mainly for gigs as well as studio performances. Totally recommend it for vocalists of any level.

incredible warmth

One of the best microphones on the market is the Shure Beta 58A, capable of delivering nice and clean vocals without killing your budget. Also it provides incredible warmth of voice.

Pretty good microphone, not very good for voice chats or livestreaming/recording videos, good for singing or other speeches.

Might as well update most of my reviews as i've gotten more experienced with stuff...

Alright, so first off, it's a really solid build that can take some hits.

The sound quality is very clear.

It's not very loud though, it might just be my Mackie Big Knob Studio that isn't very powerful for this type of mic ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but i had to crank the pre-amp all the way up with phantom power to get anywhere close to not being very quiet. Though if you have a powerful audio interface or mixer or whatever you have that can use XLR microphones, you should be good to go... On a last note, it's not very sensitive, you need to be really close to it to really pick something up, so not ideal for streaming or any other activity like voice chats or whatnot, you can make it work though. Otherwise it's a really great microphone.

Great, natural sound

It has an open, natural character, while preventing some "close mic rumble" when it is close to mouth. It could have some switch to turn it off when needed, for example when feedback appears, alhough it doesnt pick up that much from speakers when they are behind the mic.

Good vocal mic

Very good mic for vocals - being used in rehearsal studio, price - performance is excellent.

Sure you will notice difference between Sm57 and this one, in my oppinion this is better.

Great microphone

This mic was recommended to me by my vocals instructor, cause it is the mic she used in her practice and concerts. I have to say, I've never been disappointed by it. The recording quality is amazing. I've used it for vocal/singing recording, voice/speaking recording for instructional videos and podcast, also for recording music from my guitar amp. Great quality.

It's not the cheapest mic, but well worth it.

Top quality mic for live shows

I have been using the Beta 58a for my acoustic live shows for the past year. I love the sound it produces, capturing vocals without any external noises.

Also using this for recording vocals in my home studio

Can't add much to the glowing reviews

A good tough mic., looks the business, lovely warm bright sound. Cannot recommend it enough. Forget the cheap clones, get a real stage mic.

Clearer than SM58

Also good, but in the rehearsal room, it is easier to control your voice.
