Shure SM57 LC Reviews
Sm57
great mic, best price I could find
Perfect for loud sources
This works well when you are micing a snare drum, or a guitar amplifier. Blocks every unwanted sound. The sound quality is clear, natural and pleasing. Doesn't work so well with acoustic guitar recordings, or with other more quiet sources.
Workhorse!
It's an SM57 - what more is there to say! Industry standard on so many sources for so many years, that in itself speaks volumes. For me, mine spends most of its life on a snare drum and does the job perfectly.
Industry standard. A horkhorse behind the legend. This is the one to record a guitar!
This microphone is almost a myth and it's not in vain. With a huge capacity to keep the focus in the field you place it, it captures the essence of your tone through the speakers according to the way you mic them. Tested with a Celestion Vintage 30 and a Celestion Century Vintage and even this speakers are very close to each other in the way they sound, this mic can easily deal with the frequencies allowing you to realize what speaker your listening through the records. The precision degree is so accurate than you can even A/B the recording tracks and still be able to know what speaker you're listening to. A fantastic device to have, and talking of the microphone universe, its price is a bargain. If you're serious to record guitar/bass, you know it's a tool you cannot live without. Tested with and M-Audio Fast Track Ultra, Reaper x64 and Pro Tools 10. In a word? excellent!
Sm57? Shure!
This mic simply does the job, i use it for a lot of different studio applications.
It is rugged and the sound quality is good. It simply gets the job done!
I recommend it!

A classic
A classic mic. You get a great, versitile mic for quite a cheap price. There is a reason everyone has one of these!
You can't go wring with an SM....
I use this for bass and guitar amps, works perfectly. An even sound that is mostly representative of what I was looking for. As I've always though, you can't go wrong with Shure
Shure SM57
Purchased this microphone for recording guitar at home. The sound was great and ended up using it for recording bass guitar, snare drum and also vocals. Also use it for vocals while rehearsing with no problems. Very sturdy mic.

Unreal Mic
there are countless reviews on the internet about this mic. Its an industry standard! amazing on guitar amps, acoustic guitar, snare drums, toms, vocals. its such a nice mic, great sound and built like a tank. I sing into this all the time and it sounds great.
Great Microphone
I use this microphone the whole time. I record my guitar amp, acoustic guitar and sometimes vocals with this microphone and the quality sounds great with all. It is very sturdy and will last you a very long time. It comes with a leather pouch to put the microphone in which is great. This microphone has never let me down.
I highly recommend this to everyone!
can suprise you with options
I always like this on snare , and smaller toms .
the transient it produces is very good with a good preamp.
it is also very good with hi hats and rides - if you wish to spot mic along with general overheads .
works on kicks as well, but suffers in low end a bit , good for the click part,
also used on backing vocals , live and studio - allows the blending with out stepping on the main vocal.
What can I say?
I have a few of these and they are very useful indeed. I think everyone knows that by now.
I use them on e-guitar, e-bass and d-bass, snare and kick drum, vocals, keyboards, etc... it always sounds good.
The construction is solid, I don't think you could brake it if you tried.
I wish I had more of them.

Great microphone for any user. It is very versatile for any kind of music. Probably the most versatile microphone, because you can record almost all of the drums, perfect for guitars or even vocals sound quite good. It comes with stylish bag, so after the recording session you can put it properly. Great product, great price and quality.
Great and genuine
Not a lot to say about this industry standard mic that hasn't been said before - excellent on drums (snare, toms) and guitar and if you have to use it on vocals, it's got very low handling noise.
Industry standard for a reason
Its sturdy and reliable, and the quality great for the price. For home recordings and live gigs a great mic.
Shure sm57
for those who havent heard of this legendary microphone: the shure sm57 is a dynamic microphone with a cardioid pickup pattern (40hz-15khz low impedance). The sm57 comes with a stand adaptor and carry case. The sm57 is probably the most versatile microphone on the planet and features on almost all recording out there. I use it to mic up my guitar speaker cabinet, but it can be used for recording snare drums and vocals because of its clear and precise sound reproduction. This microphone can take a beating and you will not have to buy a new one. On top of that, this microphone never depreciates. Dont think twice, go get one now, you will not regret it.
