I like it

Everything works as it should, perfect quality.

It's good enough to start out. I've busked and gave some concerts using this mic and it's good for the job but if you're looking for something with more quality I would suggest something a bit better.

What’s not to love?

What hasn’t already been said? It’s the industry standard. If you don’t know what to buy, and you don’t want to be disappointed, this is the one.

SM58 one of the best

Had them before, 30 years. Bought them again. Shure SM58 is the most reliable, rugged, best sounding, dependable mic that you can count on. No plastic, just pure metall body guaranties longevity, it is practicly undestructable. I use it for vocals but can be used for many different purposes. It is a little wider than SM57. And it looks good :)

Excelent

Well it's an SM58. It's great all around. Sounds great and very sturdy.

Classic microphone

The fact that this microphone has been around so long and used by so many pros over the years just speaks for itself.

Not as good as the 58 Beta but you know exactly what you're getting and it's certainly great value for money.

It's the standard for a reason and it has a switch

There's no question as to why this is the absolute standard when it comes to microphones. The sound is absolutely clean and perfect. The build is solid and nigh indestructible. Been using it for vocals with zero complaints.

This model has an on/off switch, which is highly convenient. It slides quite easily, which might not be suitable for certain uses when you might accidentally switch it off. The switch isn't flimsy and feels solid, but because it slides so smoothly, I could see how it could happen under certain uses. For those particular uses, there's the model without the switch.

Overall, how can one not recommend such an excellent product.

Classic

As far as I know, one of the go-to dynamic mics for vocals. Amazing durability and sound, deserving of its status.

the all time classic for a reason

This microphone is built like a tank. The sound it picks up is unlike any other mic. I've tried a few other microphones that were cheaper and more expensive. I use it for weddings and conferences. Most people don't know how to hold a mic and even with that in mind, this mic picks up the sound well. I love that it has a switch aswell and that this unit comes in a handy carrying pouch with its own mic holder that you can screw onto a stand. I can 100% recommend it.

The standard for a reason

A Shure SM58 is the reference. I needed a vocal mic, I got a 58 without needing to think about it. And there's a switch.

You can never go wrong with SM58

Shure SM58 is a legendary piece of gear, and there is a reason for it.

I got 5 of these for a small venue. We have very small budget, and I've had to choose something I'll be sure of. You definitely can use SM58 for 99% of singers and even for some instruments. As my sound engineer friend says "You can have pretty good recording of ANYTHING, if you got 3 SM58's".

SM58 — it is still worthy :)

Best Mic in the world!!!

It's virtually unbreakable. It gives an absolutely faithful reproduction of a vocal sound. The price point is incredible. It's a warhorse. You can't be a regular live performer without using one of these.

Couldn't be happier with this dynamic mic!

I'm always a bit sceptical when it comes to microphones because the sound can differ so greatly, but I was very pleased with this.

I love that there is an on/off switch so that between songs if there is something needed to be said more privately this can happen easily. Also, in case there is feedback from the monitors, you can quickly switch it off in order to cut that unfriendly sound out. Feedback for the band or feedback from the monitors: it accounts for both!

The sound is also really nice from this mic. It has a sensitive and wide range of lows and highs, so never muddy or hissy.

I'm normally quite picky about mics, but this one is a classic for a reason I guess!

If you need a vocal mic that just works

Do you really need me to tell you all about the SM58?

It's essentially ubiquitous for live performances, and for good reason. Get close & cosy with it and it makes your voice sound loud, clear and balanced.

This one has a mute switch. It doesn't pick up any noise anyway, so it's not necessary. But nice to have. It also comes with a pouch and a holder to screw onto a mic stand.

Recommended if you want to sing live and just need something that works.
