Sony MDR-7506 5-stars Reviews
Itâs a Sony!
Good closed headphones from Sony. I have a Beyerdinamic D770 and Audio-Technica 50’s. Then bought these. They are all different, but all are good to record in the studio.
Pretty much perfect
I bought these for basic production using a DAW but ended up using them for listening to songs too. They sound brilliant and allow you to hear the music far more clearly - I can now hear even the quietest tracks in the mix. Thus far, I have little worry about the leathery bit deteriorating with use and they fit comfortably with vast adjustability. Overall, pretty much perfect.
Clear sound
I had a pair of on-ear headphones and I needed a good closed-back over-ear monitors...well, a friend recommended the Sony MDR-7506 to me and I could not be happier. They improved my home recording a lot thanks to their clear and neutral sound, I love them both while playing and while I'm mixing. Nice choice!
Love these
Perfect for electronic drum kit, really comfortable and durable
Great quality, but a bit bass-heavy
Overall great quality, and I'm happy with them. They fold really small, the sound is clear and they are comfortable to wear (although a bit warm).
Even though I like the sound quality, I must say that they are a bit heavy on the lows/bass for what I had expected of studio headphones. It is not a problem for me, and the highs and mids are still crisp enough for my use-case, but it is worth considering if that isn't what you're looking for.
Solid Sounds
Used for mixing initially, for which they are fantastic, but I also use them for just listening to music too now. Not for people used to the 'Beats'-style bass heavy EQ but gives and even, clear reproduction of everything. Worth every penny.
MDR-7506's three frequencies are very balanced, and its frequency range even exceeds the limits of the human ear, which makes it
Overall, the wearer still feels very comfortable. Due to the closed design of the headphones, the headphone diaphragm in a closed chamber, ear cushions closely over the ears, ear cups and ear contact area is large, the actual use of what do not feel any sense of pressure, and wear the headphones, the sound will not leak out almost. The owner did not feel any discomfort after wearing the 7506 for several hours, so it seems that these headphones are indeed suitable for professionals to wear at work. But since it is this fully enclosed headphones, so summer wear will still be a little less breathable.
Perfect!
What to say? The history of this headphone speakers for itself! The only thing that could have a better quality: the eat cups. But cmon! For this price you can’t find anything else. (I Even returned a beyerdinamics td-700 pro x after buying the Sony) hands down, Sony!
very professional
very pro sound, is accurate and I would recommend it as an essential for a home studio
Perfect
My mixing and monitoring headphones, use them every single day, Andrew Scheps uses them too!
Replace the pads
Find aftermarket pads and have a better experience. Otherwise top tier headphones for low cost - very clear and surgical. I can hear things that are otherwise hidden in the mix! Perfect for that last few adjustments in the mix.
Excellent headphones for mixing or just listening to tunes
I half live in these. I had a pair of Beyer 880s before, but these provide a much more balanced and focused sound which has allowed me to make better mixing decisions especially in the low mid area. Extremely comfortable. Ideal cable length too ..
I am absolutely satisfied with this product.
Thanks.
Why did I wait
Yes!
Why oh why did I wait so long to buy these.
I've gotten two headphones, choosing them over the Sonys MDR-7506 and realised that I should have bought these first and be done with the search.
For the price, don't think there is any competition.
great headphones for live performances
keep the highest sound quality even at high volume levels (although of course do not abuse it))
Great headphones
Great headphones
Accurate
Comfortable
This is my second pair, the others have lasted 11 years so far. Be aware that you will need to change the earpiece covers after a few years, they crack and disintegrate. But for the price, they're fantastic
Great sound and built quality
The sound is very nice and neutral, giving you the true tone of the music you are listening to or are making.
On my head they feel incredibly comfortable and I can wear them for extended periods of time with out problems.
The only "con" would be that they don't isolate outside sounds that well.
Sony MDR-7506
Sony MDR-7506closed-back, full-size headphones click with all music genres and are comfortable to wear for hours at a time. They sound excellent for their relatively modest price point.
Sony MDR-7506
This are one of the most used Headphones in Music Production. The sound is amazing and they are very confortable. Although the box it looks cheap and fragile instead AudioTechnica boxes for example.
Totally recommended
A standard
My favourite sounding closed back headphones, for studio and especially for casual listening.
They're not the most comfortable to wear for 8 hours, and the cable is not detachable, but I prefer the sound of these over the other most used headphones in this price range (Audio technica & Beyerdynamic)
