Impressive build quality and it comes in a rather nice case which in my case withstands being carried from venue to venue with no worries. The frequency response is not as flat as I would desire in the high frequencies but I have no problems working with it. just have to keep in mind those anomalies while measuring. Great for running PA systems.

Superlux ECM999

This measuring microphone can accurately measure the frequency response of the speaker, which is very good. It is recommended that you buy it.

Works well with the Behringer DEQ2496

Mine came with the wrong mic clip but that wasn't a problem as I only use it as a reference mic with the Behringer DEQ2496 - occasional use.

I have been happy with the product and have had excellent results using it.

If you are looking to save on Sonarworks' mic cheaper substitution this might be it.

I have bought this with an intention to use with Sonarworks Reference software. Sonarworks asked me for the calibration profile and I couldn't find any for this mic so I skipped the step and was doubting it's accuracy. I've performed my measurements, put it on shelf and forgot about it. Later I had a chance to test a genuine Sonarworks mic with most accuracy and I performed the same test with ECM999 just after that. After comparing the results I can say this one's definitely worth it's money: I don't remember clearly but I won't lie if I say that in my room the differences would be no more than +-1.5 dB across mids and higs while lower frequencies would be almost identical. I have also recorded some percussions with these and got a fairly acceptable result even though I think it's not designed for this kind of needs.

Pluses

2. Price is very good

3. Overall measured sound is accurate

Minuses

1. With this microphone is hard to measure frequencies above 16khz , there is very big peaks in processor when it tries to measure these frequencies.
