Impressive build quality and it comes in a rather nice case which in my case withstands being carried from venue to venue with no worries. The frequency response is not as flat as I would desire in the high frequencies but I have no problems working with it. just have to keep in mind those anomalies while measuring. Great for running PA systems.

Superlux ECM999

This measuring microphone can accurately measure the frequency response of the speaker, which is very good. It is recommended that you buy it.

Cheap and Good

works right out of the box. a cheap option but the build quality is worth more than the price. recommended for those on a tight budget!

Works well with the Behringer DEQ2496

Mine came with the wrong mic clip but that wasn't a problem as I only use it as a reference mic with the Behringer DEQ2496 - occasional use.

I have been happy with the product and have had excellent results using it.

If you are looking to save on Sonarworks' mic cheaper substitution this might be it.

I have bought this with an intention to use with Sonarworks Reference software. Sonarworks asked me for the calibration profile and I couldn't find any for this mic so I skipped the step and was doubting it's accuracy. I've performed my measurements, put it on shelf and forgot about it. Later I had a chance to test a genuine Sonarworks mic with most accuracy and I performed the same test with ECM999 just after that. After comparing the results I can say this one's definitely worth it's money: I don't remember clearly but I won't lie if I say that in my room the differences would be no more than +-1.5 dB across mids and higs while lower frequencies would be almost identical. I have also recorded some percussions with these and got a fairly acceptable result even though I think it's not designed for this kind of needs.

ideal inexpensive measurement microphone

perfectly good enough for measuring sound systems, given the law of diminishing returns. fits a standard calibrator.

Can't beat the price

Used it for live an to measure my home studio. Works great, pretty linear frequency response. It does the job well. The case is nice and protects it very well, the holder is a little tight, could be annoying when you need to set it up fast, but nothing serious.

Cheaper than many other measurement mics... but excellent product

So far we've used this product in two ways...

(1) as an overhead mic for recording drums,

(2) as a measurement mic to EQ our venue and set speaker crossover.

We've been very pleased with the results is both cases.

It performs much better than I expected for a mic costing so little. Other reviewers say it's almost as good as mics costing twice as much (or more), but I don't have enough experience to comment on that. But overall, I'm delighted with this mic.

Good cheap mic

Use this mic for measurements and field recording. Have had it for years, and no problems with it. Can't really go wrong with a mic this cheap. It doesen't shine in the highs, but non of the cheap mic's does that.

Works perfectly fine

What you would expect from a reference mic. Don't forget it's phantom powered.

A Bang for the Buck

Exceeded my expectations. I bought 2 of these and I average them in order to ring out rooms I place the PA into. It does the job really well and the mic holder is sturdy as well. Really good product and I'm happy with it.
