Nice amp but if you have higher impedance cans it may lack output...
This is a good solid-state headphone amp. Clearly superior to a Behringer I have. But also more expensive price-wise.
I like the fact that I can use batteries to power it.
What I like less is the output. I need to max the volume on this and the guitar head in order to get a decent level of output in the headphones.
I place the unit between the emulated output of the Blackstar ID core and the headphones which are 56 Ohms impedance. It is a bit too much for the guitar amp to handle directly and I was hoping to get a bit of help from this headphones amp.
serious build quality to get on with
the unit is solid and the three volume controls are lovely. not only that they look nice as some kind of a reminder of smooth vintage devices. no they also are precise and high in quality.
to tell so far I think the sound is a 4 of 5 though I m not sure yet if there s some room for the signal quality in my case. youknow cable settings, perfect value of gaining, source dependence and on. what I definitely can tell remains that the box allows me to do a better gain mix so that I can reduce my noise level. to have a bit of a chance to reach this goal I took the balanced inputs of course.
