Great headphones for this price!

Cheap, sound good, feel good, detachable cable, this is a very good pair of budget headphones.

Great for the price

Bought these headphones on a budget and have been using them for two years. Do what they suppose to do. Price is great

Well worth the price!

I needed a pair of headphones to take away from home, where I use a pair of Akg K240 MKII with satisfaction.

These Superlux for the price they cost sound all too well.

They have slightly more extended bass than the HD 668 and deliver a satisfying audio reproduction that caters well to instruments and vocals.

They have a relatively flat mid-range but tend to sound slightly sharp because of the bump in the high-mid/low-treble, especially with tracks that are already a little bright.

Unfortunately they don't block a lot of ambient noise, they're not portable and do not have the most durable build quality, but still they're good for my needs and carried and used with care and attention they can give many satisfactions.

Good headphones for monitoring

These work as expected. Sound is good, they feel ok and also the overall look is nice. Can be used when monitoring sound f.e on rehearsals or when mixing live. Could even work on studio mixing if you are familiar with the sound. Possibly the wire is the weak spot and can be damaged more easily.

Best price/quality possible

Probably the best under 100€ headphones on the market for me, hidden gem

They sound good

Bought them for quiet bass practice and sound is just about how I expected it to be. Bit bassy but not for bassheads, while everything else fits properly making nice and wide sound image. I like the cables, two sets of earpads, love the sound, like the price but headband broke after just few months. And can't be replaced, as far as I could research that topic. There are some DIY solutions for it tho.

Superlux ? Superfine...

Headphones at this price should not be this good.

Would definitely buy again.

Great

The closest you can get to the high end AKG semi-open headphones, at a fraction of the price.

Superlux HD 681 EVO BK

For the price I paid, it's excellent. It came with another cord and replacements earpads. I needed two days to get used to it, as it is large and a bit uncomfortable in the beginning. Hopefully, the plastic holds for a decade.

Nice budget headphones.

I like the fit and sound from these headphones, plus my wife says she cant hear a thing apart from my actual guitar noises. Outside of the headphones.

Good headphones, no regrets

Very pleasant sounding headphones.

More comfortable then my Pioneer SE-M531

My impression is that Pioneer SE-M531 have slightly better mids, Superlux HD-681 Evo BK have better bass...

Nice one

I use it every time I use my guitar because I live in a flat and I don't want to disturb my neighbors. It's a nice product for the money I paid for and it also comes with an extra pair of velour ear pads. I recommend it thoroughly.

Good compromise on quality / cost

Pros: - price

          - quality

          - accessories

          - the possibility of replacing the leather others in more durable

velvet.

Cons: - against the price ... none

Superlux Headphone

Received this headphone and did not have too much expectations but it is a very good buy. price and quality are great good sound and wearing comfort. I use it for home recording and mixing ( BR800 ) but I can be short about this: a very good deal in price&quality. Recommended!

Good audio for the pice but....

The soldering inside the shell could use a bit of an improvement. After 18 months of almost daily usage the soldering broke where there's no stress on the wire at all. An easy fix for me, luckily, but not one that should happen in such a place.

Good headphone, terrible cable design

I bought this as a replacement for the excellent HD681B because using them at workplace, you run over the cable with your chair all the time. So I thought a headphone with a replaceable cable would last longer. But for this, the cable should mount inside the headphone. Instead, this headphone has a short, stubby breakout cable which, you guess it, breaks after a short while, rendering exchangeable cables useless. Apart from that, good headphone. Buy the HD-681B instead.

Fantastic sound but weak cable design

I've had 3 pairs of these headphones, which is a testament to how good these sound and how badly their cable is designed.

For the price offered I don't believe you can get a better headphones experience, the sound quality is great, with a warm bass and ever so slightly recessed mids and highs. I've only sensed this sort of clarity and balance in headphones 80 euros and up, which at almost triple the price of these just goes to show how good of a deal these are. The sound stage is also very good, the open design allows for a really pleasant listening experience. They are also immensely comfortable, the adjustable headband works like a charm, the construction is pleasant and the velour pads are a fantastic addition to a 30 euro pair headphones

(They come with two pairs of pads, the faux leather ones that already come with the headphones aren't very good) I've mixed on these headphones for over 5 hours in a row with only mild discomfort.

So the reason why I don't rate these a perfect 5 is due to the cable design, the male jack on the headphones is just too flimsy and short and always ends up ripping with extensive use making the detachable cable useless. Either make it longer or sturdier, it's the only thing holding these headphones back.

Overall fantastic headphones with one exceptionally bad flaw.

Best value for money

If you looking for cheap and good headphones this is it!

Used in home studio alongside the AKG K550.

+ very good balanced sound. Outstanding in this price range.

+ 2 types of earpads

+ short and long cabel

- Cheap plastic construction. Anyway, this has no influence on sound and no issues appeared after 5 years of using

Best bang for your buck headphone!

I bought this headphone for my homestudio. I record music as a hobby so I wanted a decent headphone without spending the jackpot all at once. My previous headphone was also a Superlux (can't recall what series though) so this seemed to be the right one for the job.

The first thing I did was open a heavy mix in logic an take a listen. What I noticed is that the sound of the headphone is very crisp and clear. Very well balanced sound overall. I played with the bass, mids and highs in the mix and I feld very happy with my purchase right away!

The headphone is very comfortable to wear, the cushions make sure that you don't hear to much noise from 'outside', and after wearing them for a couple of hours they still remain comfortable.

So: the sound is very good, what about the construction quality?

It's mostly made of hardplastics and thats fine, it doesn't feel fragile but it also doesn't feel like it won't ever die on you. The main reason why I gave the quality only 3 stars is because the rubber around the jack cable is already torn on some places...

verdict: It's absolutely a no-brainer to buy this headphone. If you're like me and don't do music professionally you only care about a good sound and a comfortable headphone, and thats exactly what you get!
