Good price, better quality

These mics punch well above their price point! I’ve found them to be responsive and accurate to the source sound. Might get a few more!

It's a mic

Not great, but works. Poor signal to feedback ratio.

Sturdy Mic

I was blown away by how good this mic feels

Cheap, sturdy and has natural treble rolloff

The build quality is really nice for the price. Soundwise. It is not nearly as universal as SM57. But it might work for sources where you would reach for an EQ to reduce frequencies above 6kHz. Works for jazzy electric guitar combos, but not so much on toms.

Best Value for money

I am verry happy with these microphones, same sound as akg D40.

Unfortunately one front grill popped off but this does not influence the sound quality

Actually pretty good!

Really decent mic!

Used them for some percussion and was really pleased by the result.

Also very handy for drums (kick/toms) you want to trigger samples with afterwards. No need for a 2000 dollar mic in that situation.

Of course there are better microphones but I highly doubt that you can find them in this price range.

PRA 218A

Brought this mic as a quick cheap recording mic for low end application … works fine but there are better mics out there if you spend a little more

Handy Mic!

I took a gamble on this mic because I'm not using for drums... I use this for vocals while busking and it works well! Quite a full sound, though I haven't tested it too extensively.

I would wager this would be great on drums of course, but it seems to be very versatile. I'd say it would mic up a guitar amp nicely too!

If you're in need of a lightweight versatile little microphone on the cheap you can't really go wrong with this.

Very good for it's price

All I can say is that given the fact that it costs so little,

it performs admirably in every aspect.

Clear mids and full lows,

I haven't tested many mics but the sound coming out of it

seems full to my ears

it's small and seems durable.

I've used it just to record my bass through my amp

and I'm very pleased.

Excellent Mic

I use these on my Toms, I play a couple of live shows a year well at least I used to until Covid hit. But I gotta tell ya you will not be disappointed with this Mic, don't let the price scare you away.

The Pra 218A can hold its own against higher priced Mics all day long.

Do yourself and your pocketbook a favour and check these out.

TOP-SECRET mic

I bought this mic as a cheap - backup - dynamic mic for my studio. Just for the sake of moment, when drummer shows up with extra unexpected tom.

When i got it I coundn't believe my eyes and ears.

Build quality is great. It's all metal, solid construction, but it's also incredibly small.

Sounds superb - not just for the price.

I tried it on toms, trumpet and guitar amp and got quite usable sound. And when you think about the price - it's just crazy. This should be top-secret mic - use it, don't brag about it, and save some cash for other mics out there.

I like it so much, that today I've ordered two more.

Excellent little mic, works well for electric bass.

Punchy respoinse and extended range, maybe not quite linear when used on a quiet source like spoken word. Not really desigend for that, but one of the ways i listen to a new mic is read an advert into my DAW. Quite balanced and smooth.

Absolutely slays used to mic a 12" hartke bass driver in an iso cab. low end response is full and captures the low B properly and incredibly compact size means i can move it around the enclosure to get the sound I want. Very sensitive to placement so rewards good mic technique but unforgiving of lazy/poor setup. Rugged all metal enclusure so I'm not worried about letting a drummer near it. Very strong signal compared to an MB75.

super for the price

I use is for my main snare mic in studio use. it is big for that but no issues so far with the adjustment. I like the sound that i get. I'm gonna use it on amps soon.

amazing microphone

I use this microphone for recording a bass amp, it's the first and only mic I bought for this purpose so I can't compare,, it sounds great.

It's very sturdy as well,

and surprisingly small, wich is nice if you're on stage.

Good all round mic

Used this on guitar cabs for hard rock alongside SM57, got very good results.

Very well made and solid, not tried it on drums yet but I think it will do the job.

Very good value for money

Not bad for the price

These work really good for my toms, I tune the to the lowest fundamental pitch. I don't know about the life and durability but I'm impressed so far.

Great P/P Product

It's fairly cheap but doesn't sound cheap. Great price/performance product. Acutally It's a great replica of audix fusion series tom mics. Maybe its even better than Audix Fusions. Considering the price, I strongly recommend this mic.

Overall good

I use this mic for basically everything, from guitar cabinets, drums, brass and even voice.

It has a very clear, maybe slightly warm tone, but unbeatable for the money.

I won't give it five starts because of 2 cons: It doesn't come with a storage pocket (unlike another superlux mic that I bought) and after some minor bumps, something came loose inside the mic (i can hear it when I move it) although it doesn't interfere in the sound quality.

a real bargain

I'm a musician and not a sound engineer, but this mic can definitely compare to a lot more expensive ones (even x10 of its value) and I've tested it in live gigs (trumpet) and recordings (clarinet mostly). Would buy it again without any hesitation at all.
