Bought as a present

Bought this as a present. Well, the receiver is very very happy with it and got rid of these ugly tuners you clip on the guitar.

Good, but could be better

Main issue is a very noticable lag between input and display. It would help immensly if it was near instant. Now you must be very carefull and tedious not to overtune.

Second issue is that polytune function is too low resolution. It works, but you seldom get more than a 90 % tuned axe which sort of makes the whole concept moot.

Plus for nice build quality and that it takes 9V battery.

Brilliant pedal

Dont waste your time for searching any other tuner pedal. I bought this for my son, I have mine for 4 years and it still works like the first day. Accurate, robust and most importantly it doesnt take much space on pedal boards.

Beats any clip tuner...

I bought a number of clip-on tuners, including ones from TC (Polytune), but I think this is so much better option for electric bass/guitar. You have to use cable anyway, so plugging it first into tuner (and other effects if you use them) and then into amp just makes sense. It uses actual electric signal from instrument so it's not picking vibrations from noise (drums etc.) like clip-on tuners do sometimes.

I find it to be really accurate, I love strobo mode, and being able to cut signal while tuning is great. Display is great, easy to read.

But why the TrueBypass/buffer switch is not external?

Excellent, but with a drawback. The TrueBypass/buffer switch is internal. If you, like me, run the tuner in front of everything and you want to add a fuzz for example, it is not convenient.

Mine only works with single string tuning after about a year. So a little dissapointed, but I can still tune with it.

This tuner is the best, in my opinion

I bought this tuner for the strobe type tuning and it does the job perfectly well. Also, I just love the fact that it has the integrated buffer, too! Highly recommended!

Precise tuner

The tc electronic PolyTune 3 Tuner/Buffer is a great tuner/buffer. It is precise, accurate and reliable. On top it can be used as a buffer.

Visibility on dark stages is good too.

Top quality tuner - Saved me

As a bass player, with any other tuner, I had troubles tuning the 5th string especially on my main bass which is tuned a full step down. It's the best tuner I've used.

Great tuner pedal, has 2 9v adaptor outs to power 2 other pedals which is really useful.

Clear display, nicely lit up, easy to see.

Quality construction

Handles low tunings (down to a low E on an 8 string) well too.

And, it dosn't cost the earth, so it is awesome value for money. Am think of getting another one just for home use.
